Ron Howard serves as both an executive producer and the omniscient narrator and, in later seasons, appears in the show portraying a fictionalized version of himself.
The series received critical acclaim, six Primetime Emmy Awards, and one Golden Globe Award, and attracted a cult following. It has been named one of the greatest TV shows of all time by publications including Time, Entertainment Weekly, and IGN. Also the joke (until its revealed that it was actually Tony Wonder) is that Gob impregnated her here by inseminating her egg

The “should should” bit is amazing considering it was a blooper from the previous season and they ran with it.
Just one of the reasons that show is so amazing, even the last couple seasons as much as people shit on them, still have some super clever moments that are way funnier than anything else on TV in my opinion

This is hilarious but I just hate you cut out the part where the narrator comments on how George Michael looks older because the ordeal aged the boy lol

They were already adults, so they didn't visibly age as much. Michael Cera went from being a teenager to a young adult, which is a big difference

Can we appreciate how consistent the recurring jokes in this are? Gob runs into Ann and doesn't knock her over. George Michael made a point of telling Michael how low her center of gravity is, and can't be knocked over in baseball.

I’m pretty sure its a joke the show includes on purpose, referencing how Netflix “stole” the show from Fox.

In the original series yes but she was the same age as george michael and he's in college so she's probably late teens or early 20s she just looks kind of young.
In the original season she explains to George Michael that it's "okay" because she's of age.

Which makes this hilarious if you know what happened with them in the BTAS Universe.
Watching this i forgot this show had a second run years later.I was shocked by the Gob Egg\Ann storyline going on,for one other reason,until i remembered 😆
Whatever anyones problems with the later seasons, this scene alone makes it all worth it.

This whole scene is a shameful attempt to imitate success of original seasons and it just doesn't work. Compare stuttering joke with the original - this one so much longer and looks forced and unnatural, narrator explains "marry me" gag which just kills the joke. Actors look old and don't fit original characters. What a shame to force continuation after 10 years and what a crime to cancel the original brilliant show.
While I agree that the “marry me” explanation is a bit over the top, the genius in Gob’s breakdown in this scene cannot be overstated. The running bit over the last 3 seasons of Gob priding himself on his “insert dollar amount suit/jacket/shirt here” falling apart in the cognitive dissonance he feels wearing Ann’s onesie, causing him to short circuit is brilliant. The fact that he even comes up with what we can only assume is an educated guess to the value of the onesie, which he then tries to put forth in the “should the guy in the $36 dollar pajama…” comment, further destroying his conception of himself is an even more brilliant edition to the meltdown. I laugh so fucking hard at this scene every time I see it for these reasons and several others relating to Gob’s extremely delicate sense of self.

This season aged pretty good! People hated it at first.
Ive seen it a few times and I also enjoyed the remix but wasn't a fan of the follow on final season. Soured the show a bit for me :(
