After becoming a parent, I wanted something creative and flexible to do during nap time. I started with a Crafted Threads design bundle, ordered a Cricut from Amazon, and made parent-themed shirts just for fun. Turns out, other parents LOVE custom t-shirts! Selling them at community meet-ups has been an amazing way to connect with others and make some extra money on the side. Highly recommend this setup!
Something i HIGHLY recommend is a paper cutter. You'll get straight cuts all the time when you cut big pieces of vinyl. That'll make your workspace more comfortable because you don't gotta deal with big rolls or anything just the piece you need. A silicone mat for your desk is great to have too that way you don't have to mess up your table.
Thank you this is by far the most easy, informative video out there!! Finally.. what heat press, cutter, no cutter, vinyl.. you laid it plain, straight forward and simple!! Thanks
I wasn't even aware til recently the Cricut could be used for clothing. I had gotten it to make vinyl stickers then it sat for awhile. Years ago I had a clothing brand where I spent so much money on a screen printing press, screens, and materials. It's amazing how inexpensive everything is to do this now. I'm excited to get back into it after watching this video. I recently got hired as a graphic designer and IT manager for a local business and they were stoked to hear I had a Cricut and prior experience in making merch. Definitely subscribed and thanks for this info!
As a broke college student with a creative streak, I decided to start a simple t-shirt business. Here's my pipeline for success: Crafted Threads for the design bundle, Amazon for a budget-friendly heat press (or borrow one like I did!), and campus events for my marketplace. Now I’m selling witty shirts that are covering my coffee habit AND my textbooks. It’s been a game changer!
When I wanted to contribute to our family income but needed flexibility, I found the perfect setup: Crafted Threads for design bundles, Amazon for a Cricut printer, and Etsy to sell my creations. I started by printing fun t-shirts during quiet moments at home, and now I also sell them at local craft fairs. It’s incredibly rewarding to see this side hustle making a real difference in our budget!
@@TheRecipeWorldwide@ Your videos are great but maybe you should film your self using this equipment to help drill down the point, it also shows you doing what you are teaching just a suggestion bdy
@@TheRecipeWorldwide how can i print out my own custom size label for t shirts, as of now my first time i will order them customized. and do i get like a lil heater gun for size label tags or not necessary ? how can i print out my own designs that i have on my phone to print on my t shirt, and that's the thing that goes on top of the design when you heat press the design
thank you so much for this!!!! i'm so exicted to start! I do have a question though! What is the longevity of the vinyl once its put on the clothing? I know you mentioned to buy high quality vinyl so i'm assuming it just depends on the quality, but do you notice any peeling or separation from the vinyl and clothing ever? I thnk thats one of my biggest concerns currently. thank you so much for this video!!!
Thanks for the full explanation. My son really likes it . He almost complete the material needed but can normal printer work on vinyl material or he needs to buy another printer. Thanks
Yo big dawg i appreciate your videos i finally bought most of the things i need to start , can you drop your amazon store front i can’t seem to find it ! Thanks man
What size of the vinyl would you recommend boss man? Also I was looking at the supplies would you be able to recommend any other supplies that wasn’t mentioned? Please and thank you sir!
Subd, thanks for tips, just bought everything on Amazon using your links, except for the htv rolls, didn't know what to get, so just got some from Amazon
Subscribe button smashed, thank you for the awesome video! I have everything but the folding mat and the tshirt bags. Got a question. You mentioned good quality shirts, but I'm not finding them in your storefront. Can you share the brand you use? I know what you mean about the Gildan shirts; nice in a pinch, but I'd like to use something nicer.
i might be late to this video, but can you use a regular iron instead of a heat press? it might be a dumb question but i want to know to see if i could r could not.
Will the process be the same with the cricut air 2 or maybe the maker 3? I know that’s what you’re working with but would upgrading be similar by upgrading to a newer model?
I really, really appreciate this video i’m a beginner and need help getting started and I’m on a low budget I’m actually getting prices so that I can ask my son and daughter to invest. You didn’t mention a sublimation printer don’t you need one? Can you list a budget friendly one but a good one?
You can use an Ink Jet printer to print multi colour designs, otherwise its just the plain vinyl colours used directly with the Cricut. Sublimation printing is a different method and alternative to vinyls that he uses here. 💫
I want to start My shirt business But i am little bit confused that what gestures i buy?? Cutter? DtF printers or DTG printer?? Because i need high quality 3D printer that's can't be romve with many washes Please give me your honest Views
@therecipeworldwide had a question. I have about $200-$220 to spend for a fancierstudio heat press. Which would u recommend? I’ll be using Cricut machine wit regular and puff vinyl. May Elohim Bless you for all the help you’ve done 4 others 🙏🏽❤️
Using a lint roller is a good idea to clean fibers, hairs, etc off the shirt before applying the design.
