Hi Vas, really good to see someone actually take the time to go into depth on these cars. As always you are subjective without being disrespectful to either brand. Having been an avid subscriber for many years, i'm looking forward to hearing what you think of the Team Corally cars overall compared to the Arrma ones. Are they just a cut price version you buy before buying the real deal? Great to see you putting out quality content etc. Keep safe, stay well & keep doing what you're doing fella. Take care Sean.
My first car was a 1/8th scale buggy (The Losi 8ight RTR) and it remains one of my favorite drives. I recommend people asking me where to start, and I point at the 4WD 1/8th scale buggy. Easy to drive, great handling, and a ton of fun at 2S, 3S, and 4S. Pretty easy to maintain, and not too expensive to boot!
Just want to say that this video is the most in-depth comparison I've seen. Leaves no stone unturned. Kept me well entertained with all the twists and turns. I'm getting my RC fix for free..keep it coming.
Thanks Vas, as always, great level of detail without being over the top. So helpful and entertaining in this lockdown period! What more could an RC guy like me want!
You are awesome. I have the Arrma Notorious, Arrma typhon 6s, Team Corally Jambo, Team Corally Radix 6. I love all of them. They are all durable and fun. I'm about to to get the Team Corally Shogun. I must say Team Corally has a great lineup of vehicles. I love all of them but my all time favorite is my Arrma Notorious !! This is not taking away from any of the other's. They are also durable fun beasts !!
Hi, how has the Radix 6 held up for you these days compared to the Typhon 6s? Thinking about buying one today, either one is available however the Radix 6 is about $100 cheaper.
Would love to see more comparison videos. Like comparing the Arrma Talion, Corally Shogun, Hobao Hyper SSTe, and more. Would help to decide on which to buy.
Thanks for the review Vas, nice to see you again ! Been watching you since 2017 , you should be getting $$$ from Arrma for convincing me to buy an Outcast back in 2017. You're a good man with integrity. Keep on keep in!
The difference that jumped out to me,was the adjustability of the shock positions on the rear shock tower on the Corally. It looks like there are 4 or 5 different upper mounts on the rear and 3 positions on the front tower. The upper rear arms are also very different, with the Arrma ones being adjustable whereas the Corally seems to use fixed links.
As always Vas you do not disappoint! Great comparison of these buggies. I really appreciate you showcasing the positives and the negative of each. Gives us consumers some real hard choices when choosing each brand or we can just buy one of each😂 It was your running video that got me to pull the trigger on the Radix6. Thank you again friend😊
Thank you so much, man, always appreciate your comments. 😎🤜🤛 I wanted to remain as neutral as possible as I actually like both brands for their own reasons and they are different enough that it warranted doing this type of video. Hopefully it helped a few people out. 🙂
Great video Vas, be great to see these head to head bashing not to see which is the most durable especially as your Arrma isn't new and the older model but would be good to see the performance differences.
Loving this you can’t go wrong with the one you choose it’s a win win situation just add upgraded parts and power batteries with a charger I’ll take all of them 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Excellent comparison Vas , reminds me of the muscle car wars in the 60s and 70s . Without competition we would never have products that set high standards. Good thing is all the greenies and clowns can't ban these like the muscle cars .
Excellent video as always sir, thanks for this. For my own view the only feature which matters is the battery tray on all of the Team Corally models is far too restrictive. I own so many 3s packs which I could use in pairs and 4 x 6s batteries which are all 155mm long and will not fit in the battery tray Team Corally uses. So as much as I'd love to buy a Python or a Radix 6 it would mean buying all new batteries specifically to run in that one car so I'd end out paying out probably the same amount again for new lipo batteries as for the price of the car. I have bought a battery tray and receiver box from a Kraton EXB with the intention of buying a Radix 6 and fitting the Arrma battery tray but due to the location of the ESC I can tell this battery tray won't fit. The centralisation of the weight in the car is a good idea but has caused this lack of battery compatibility. If the ESC had longer wires and was mounted further back then I could run my existing lipo batteries and I'd have a couple of Team Corally models in the collection already. Shame.
Awesome review and look at all 3. I’m in the market for one of them I’m not sure which. Either will be a 3S Typhon for its light weight and ease of use. Plus parts are a bit cheaper for me to get in 🇨🇦 compared to the 6S Typhon. But I do like that Radix
I like the Corally better. Need to see a head to head running video of them now. The offset of the center diff is designed that way for torque twist. Every brand has it in one way or the other. Motor position also plays into that.
And I've also been told that it also has something to do with how these cars were originally design with Nitro engines, so the driveline had to be off center as a result. 🤷♂️
So far, only the Teknos I have seen have a basically straight driveline in the 1/8th buggies. Everything else is pushed to the side. I have heard that changes the torque split between front and rear.
I know this vid is a year old and I'm sure this comment will get buried but I want to still chime in and mention that the drive shafts on the corally radix 6 are intentionally offset front and rear to assist with torque on hard accelerations. The angle of the front shaft in relation to the rear shaft, as well as the f/r axles will help deliver the power to the differentials equally preventing the buggy from torque steering.
@@AussieRCPlayground thank you too for the in depth review! I'm currently debating been the radix 6 vs the typhon 6s. Based on your professional opinion which do you like better?
This is a very good informational video. As one who usually drives truggies, I am more inclined to purchase a buggy and possibly the Typhon 3s. Can the 3s go to a 4 or 5s, or does it just accept 3s?
I enjoyed this video, thanks! I'm currently in the Arrma ecosystem however will be keeping an eye on Team Corally as I'm always keen to try something different. I think I'll await their version 3 lineup and see if availability and pricing gets better. I'd love to hear more about the Corally electronics, specifically the transmitter. Is the receiver in the Corally compatible with the DX5c? In the future a glimpse at the new Radix 4S would be cool too. It looks like a good platform. Anyhow, thanks for all the effort you put into your videos. Been watching for ages, never really took the time to comment.
ARRMA parts are interchangeable with other ARRMA cars. And Team Corally parts are interchangeable with other Team Corally cars. But if you're asking if ARRMA parts are interchangeable with Team Corally cars, then you need to watch the video again.
Revisiting videos in my time off and just wanted to say a little bit.. the battery length issue is definitely something to take into consideration but from what I've seen here the greatest difference has got to be availability as in the USA the parts and models are right at our fingertips but I've never seen a corally in person! I understand it is the opposite in the UK and it begs the question, who's better off? Just like this video, I'd say it just depends on your taste . . And thanks for the vids Vas!
@AussieRCPlayground Hi mate, what is the part support like in Australia for the Radix 6? Also what would your personal choice be between the Radix 6 & the Typhon 6s?
It’s clear that from an engineering standpoint (if you can call it that in RC cars) they are different. There is however no denying that the ‘Corally copied Arrma’ claim has some ground when you look at it from a marketing standpoint. The naming convention for example Python Vs Typhon, Kraton Vs Kronos, EXB Vs XTR… I mean come on. There’s clearly some copying or at very least the sharing of the same marketing/business models going on here. The Corally is a great car no denying, and I’d love to own one but let’s not act like the copying allegations are completely unfounded. Great video and comparison though! 🤞
I almost bought the python, went with the typhon. When they were released. Bought the v5 typhon recently. Good video, I wanted to get this info, thanks.
I love when everyone says Team Corally copied Arrma. It's like they never seen this layout before. Virtually same layout from nitro days. Now bodies and naming there was some arrma inspiration. If I'm not mistake team corally had more racing success than team durango who spun off into Arrma, so alot of potential from Team Corally.
i think it was more the naming. Thats what got me especially python. only so much you can do with designs really but if you're gonna name them so blatantly obvious to another brand things will be said.
Dude, I have the typhon 3s and I’ve actually split the chassis in half 3 times and destroyed the wing and the mounts haha the wheelie bar that u can attach on the wing mount completely disappeared haha love the typhon!!
@@Kevin-Kx we built a jump at just the perfect angle where it almost cleared our fence, almost...it landed perfectly on top of the fence splitting it in half. Then of course we kept jumping it after I rebuilt it, also my brother jumped it right into a tree a couple time. That’s where the wing vanished haha I’m on chassis #4 now
great comparison as always... Almost ordered a V5 but then a friend let me know they are soon releasing EXB 8s Kraton & Typhon EXB / have pics of the Kraton EXB
Thanks man. Yeah, seen the Kraton 8S EXB on Facebook, but no news as to when it will be released. Didn't know about the Typhon EXB, but if that's true, it's funny how so many are wanting an OutCast EXB and ARRMA seem to be doing everything except that. Haha.
ARRMA did say there would be EXB parts for the whole 6S lineup, so having a Typhon EXB shock tower available is not surprise and shouldn't lead to speculation that there will be a ARR Typhon EXB. Not saying it's not gonna happen, but that shock tower alone is not enough evidence to confirm that it's coming.
@@AussieRCPlayground yeah but its just you dont have people sending death threats because somebody likes t brand or because arrma chassis are cheese or that team corally is just an arrma copy. I shouldn’t have said competitive, i mean more how toxic the bashing environment can be. In crawling it is extremely common to find trucks that have basically all the brands of crawler stuff in it and people won’t bully you for having that one part brand they don’t like. Have a good night👍
@@mojaverc1585 Yeah, fair point. You change the word "competitive" to "toxic" and your comment has a very different meaning. And I'd agree with you, too. It's unfortunate that even though the hobby in general is a fantastic way to get outdoors and potentially meet new people, there are a few groups of brand loyalists who seem to pride themselves on being toxic and will only respect you if you own or worship their brand of RC. Don't know where this mentally has come from, but it's definitely out there and running rampant. Cheers.
My lhs putting crawler course instead race track bc said don't like competition in rc gets toxic , crawlers do seem have more mature creative brain levels . I gather its a age maturity thing , some us never grow up or we just dealing with kids have to remember, with this social media its usually a teenager being toxic nice review vas I have couple 3s arrmas they need clutches and esc , tires than still a well used rc may be better just buy another huh
As if there is no competition in crawlers.. -certainly rc crawling is an entirely different to bashers and will most likely cost less. For me it's all about big air and speed no matter the scale or design. Were just gonna seeeend it. 👍🤣🍻
When I get a job agin this summer cuz I’m still in school but I’m thinking of getting a Radix 6 and turning it into 8s just because it looks like it has more room but I’m also thinking of getting a Typhon and turning it into 8s. For bashing of course cuz more power is always fun 🤩 although I’m not sure if the bearings will like that lol
Great video mate, respect for the time and effort for making a video like this. I actually had a v4 Typhon but never got that same feeling as I got with my Python. ATB /Per FB: Team Ciralky Bashers
Hi, good content very helpfull. Can someone help me to choose between : Kyosho inferno neo 3.0 ve, Corally Radix 4 and hobao hyper vs2 or 1 (roller or pro roller version) THANK YOU. I am a 42yo french guy and want to get into rc world. i ve already made a dirt track with jumps at home, and i don't know what to choose to race with my son. thanks for your returns.
Give me the Typhon 3s out of those 3. I don't know the Radix but Arrma has more part support in my country. I do know that I prefer the Typhon 3s over the 6s as the 3s is much more spirited and a beast if you go 4s with it.
Vas you know I love your channel but if I could give a little constructive criticism I'm not a fan of the background music going on while your talking. It's a little distracting too be honest. You know I'll watch either way lol but just a little input. Edit: I'm guessing you did it to try to help with the mic noise now that I think of it 👍
🚨 the arrma vehicles are the best 🔥💪🏻 on the market thanks to their structure the electronic area their strength is resistant their materials the parts easy to get everywhere and in stores
Great video Vas. As soon as spring arrives I'll give my Python 6S XP a good thrashing to see how it holds up. Its been staring at me since black Friday to take it out of the box.
Really like your channel but there is no comparison really. Maybe not much difference in speed but quality is clear as day to see. No rubber covers on the shocks. Thinner chassis. Big recess in the hub where the bearing sits so loads of muck can get in. I could go on. Not a bad car but typhon wins hands down
the power cables are way to long on the typhon, cable got snagged in the motor pinion gear and main spur gear bad design . blew the receiver. back it goes 1 week old
Although I don't disagree that sometimes cables are too long in RC cars, at the end of the day it's YOUR job to ensure the cables are safely strapped down and away from moving parts during use. I don't see how it's the car's fault for cables getting chewed up in the gears, that's your responsibility (in any RC). And yes, it has happened to me too in the past, and I certainly didn't blame the car or brand because of that. I took it as a lesson learnt, fixed it and moved on. Hasn't happened since. 😉
Imma be honest the issue with this video is that it doesn’t include the vorza flux. Anyone whose driven one knows it’s without a question the best buggy ever made. The only reason everyone doesn’t own a vorza is because people forgot it existed haha.
I disagree. The Vorza is old and outdated by comparison, so it doesn't really have what it takes to jump in the ring with new buggies. It was once a great car, no doubt, but not today. Just my opinion...
Aussie RC Playground I can completely understand it. But if I’m going to be real here, yes, I get it hasn’t been updated in 8 years. But when I’m staring at it and comparing it to my Senton 6s, I can’t find anything outdated. Like by that I mean it’s not like a slash 4x4 and how it’s light years behind something like a Senton 3s. It’s honestly the same thing just with better metal and thicker plastic with more captured screws. It just happened to come out a lot earlier. It’s really not outdated at all in my personal opinion. Long time viewer and always respect your views. I just can’t get enough of my vorza all these years later. Although mine has the old mamba monster 2 in it so I wouldn’t be surprised if the newer HW ones are a little shittier in terms of throttle response and stuff.
Dude.. you gave the edge to the TC shock towers FOR LOOKS?? Pardon me if I'm missing something but shouldnt exposed shock towers be judged by their strength and not by their looks? Land upside down on that pretty piece of aluminum and I think you may reassess your judgement. Bling is TOTALLY SUPERFICIAL
You're not missing anything, if I remember correctly, I said both are of equal thickness and made from the same material, and both offer the same durability. However, on that basis if I had to pick a winner between the 2, I'd give it to Team Corally as theirs is better finished and looks better. You're splitting hairs at this point, so I simply picked the one that looks better. I didn't pick it because it looked better while ignoring all other points, I picked because both are so evenly matched and that's the only thing left to tilt the scales.
good comparisons pretty fair as well. Corally lost me though with the first round of cars released total knockoffs from arrma. I know probably a chinese company and they dont care about copywrites etc. Imo anyway the typhon is way more customizable being around for longer theres alot of aftermarket support. Ive heard some say the typhon is much heavier and the corally is faster because of it but i seen them both on track and it looked fairly even. is there much difference in weight?
Both are european companies and there is no copyright on designs that have been around forever, from everyone. One example: The Kraton is a 100% clone of the MUGEN MBX6T with all parts interchangeable.
If Corally would have picked a different color than red for the wheel nuts and shocks, this probably wouldn't be as big of an issue. But they didnt....on purpose....multiple people had to have signed off on that. I mean come on.
The Arrma Typhon 3s let's in tons of dirt inside the car and has plenty of unshielded bearings. Not a good combo for a long life. The Team Corally I have no idea. I own a typhon 3s
I think they did this because the name python..l cmon. Dont make the names obvious like kronos for example. If they didnt made the names sus they would most likely not have got the hate at the begining
This video was done in a time where everyone confused Team Corally with ARRMA and claimed they were the same car or a copy of. I did this video to simply show the differences between the two brands and decided to include the 3S Typhon purely to humor the situation and because I had it. I wanted to show that the TC cars are not copies of ARRMA despite the play on words with the name.
The sway bar is supposed to have a good amount of movement lol… and there’s set screws if you want it tighter, and I’ll take an extra mm on the shock tower instead of a smooth look. This review lost credibility there.
Just having some fun. I put up with a lot of guys like this and although a lot of the time I just delete the comments and move on, sometimes I have a bit of fun and fire back.

great comparison as always...
Things like this is why I am leaning more towards crawling. Its just too competitive, and I really hate competition.
Axial, ECX, Element RC, Team Associated, HoBao, FTX, G-Made, RC4WD, REDCAT and T-brand. Crawling isn't free of its own competition, my friend. 😉
When I squint and go cross eyed they merge and both look like my HPI Vorza 🤪
😂
Thank you for this 👏🏾
When I get a job agin this summer cuz I’m still in school but I’m thinking of getting a Radix 6 and turning it into 8s just because it looks like it has more room but I’m also thinking of getting a Typhon and turning it into 8s. For bashing of course cuz more power is always fun 🤩 although I’m not sure if the bearings will like that lol
Great video mate, respect for the time and effort for making a video like this.
I actually had a v4 Typhon but never got that same feeling as I got with my Python.

Aussie Rc.. if you could only choose one to own?
He chooses the Arrma Mojave v2... in red, its true👍🤣🍻
Considering they both have very similar power I would have thought that it would make sense to put them on the scales
Ah, didn't think to do that. 🤦🏼♂️ Sorry. Maybe next time...
Would need a brand new Arrma V5 for that to do a fair comparison with the Radix, it would still be interesting to see though.
The 3s typhon color looks similar to V1 typhon
In uk can get the 6s radix for same price as 3s typhon I went for typhon maybe should of gone radix
Typhon 6s all day!
Give me the Typhon 3s out of those 3. I don't know the Radix but Arrma has more part support in my country. I do know that I prefer the Typhon 3s over the 6s as the 3s is much more spirited and a beast if you go 4s with it.
Nice vid bro
Very good buggys ! I prefer radix6 😎
I have a Typhon 6s It's not very durable with awful power distribution from the factory with the standard diff oil. Very front wheel biased
there would be no competition if there was a kyosho brushless readyset 1/8 scale buggy in your line up. smokem all. losi associated kyosho.
They got the big Mac. I got the big mic. 😆🤣😂
Haha, that's actually funny. 😂
Lol look at that alum chassie its like arma sold it to them the drive train is way weird way off center looks like it might strain
The drive train design reduces torque twist and torque steer. It is well thought out.
Corally - not a bad player on the market.
Dude.. you gave the edge to the TC shock towers FOR LOOKS??
The layout on the Corally breaks it for me - limits the battery size.
And who says - size matters 😝
If Corally would have picked a different color than red for the wheel nuts and shocks, this probably wouldn't be as big of an issue. But they didnt....on purpose....multiple people had to have signed off on that. I mean come on.
Rc8 ftw.....
The Arrma Typhon 3s let's in tons of dirt inside the car and has plenty of unshielded bearings. Not a good combo for a long life. The Team Corally I have no idea. I own a typhon 3s
Nice vid vas now get a tekno eb48.2 its superior to all 3 of them 😀👍
I think they did this because the name python..l cmon. Dont make the names obvious like kronos for example. If they didnt made the names sus they would most likely not have got the hate at the begining
yeah this is my feeling too. Python and kronos is like buying RC cola instead of coke.
Love my arrma typhon 6s, but darn it guys the decal work is terrible!
Sorry Mate, but I don't personally think that the Typhon 3S fits on that comparison!!!
Let em talk.. dont we have enough drama going on in the world as it is?
Tema arrma-
your pronouncing corally wrong there is no gap between co rally bud
The sway bar is supposed to have a good amount of movement lol… and there’s set screws if you want it tighter, and I’ll take an extra mm on the shock tower instead of a smooth look. This review lost credibility there.
I think you misunderstood what I was saying or perhaps I worded it wrong, but I certainly don't disagree with you. 🤷🏼♂️
Losi does it maverick does it
Bro. Waaaayyyy too much time on the bodies of these cars. Jesus Christ. I want that time of my life back to watch an actual review!
Haha, you're so kind, thank you. And Merry Christmas, hope you have a great day and don't choke on any food. 🙂
That was a little aggressive. . You can’t be a RUclips creator and respond to criticism that way. You have to rise above that stuff my man.
Just having some fun. I put up with a lot of guys like this and although a lot of the time I just delete the comments and move on, sometimes I have a bit of fun and fire back.
Arma typhon 6s is best
