I probably did not see enough attention to it in the video, but I put the suspension in "low" mode and use a rear stand along with the center stand to keep the rear axle at the appropriate height.
I still have a problem with navigation. I still have a problem when driving in the rain with the Quickshifter, it doesn't work. I also have a problem with switching the chassis without having to switch the fuel map, on the BMW GS I had a separate button and it worked great. Furthermore, my phone overheats extremely when using navigation. I still have a problem with plastics, I can send you a photo. I still have a problem with the motorcycle key, I have already lost the cover for the flashlight, there is also information on the Internet. Welcome from Slovakia and thank you for your reply. Rado
I can say that the support through the Ducati app has been pretty outstanding on my bike. Without a doubt, there still are some flaws with this bike that don't meet its expectations and price point. Reach out to Ducati over the app and see if they're able to help you solve your problems.
@@4KMotoring I'm dealing with the Ducati, that's not the point... I was just wondering about your experience with either the Quickshifter when riding in the rain, or feeling like you can't switch the chassis without being able to switch the fuel map. And there is still a question, can you switch the chassis and driving modes while on the phone?? Thank you Rado from Slovakia
I've had zero issues with my quick shifter, are you switching ride modes? That is deactivating the quick shifter? Are you ensuring that the quick shifter is remaining active in the menu? If so, perhaps you have a short in the quick shifter sensor with water ingress. Fuel mapping is different for every ride mode, but a few minutes spent customizing each ride mode before you go out will pay dividends in the long run. You can change fuel mapping within each ride mode in settings. I have had no issues changing suspension or ride modes while listening to music or using the phone, it takes me out of the phone control menu which I have to go back to but does not interrupt the call or music listening
True, I did not mention that in the video but that is an outstanding feature. Ducati has added to the skyhook suspension with the minimum preload setting, an easy push of the button gets us there
@@4KMotoring Btw: I've stored my Multi v4 away for the winter, that's just life here in Norway. But i can see from the app that a new ecu update (campaign no. CR240) is available. Have you had that update, or do you know what it does?
@@matsrekdal3065 I have not yet done the update, I would assume it fixes a few more software glitches. I would love it if it brought the updated cylinder deactivation algorithm from the Rally to the standard Multistrada, I will post as I find out more
You should be checking your chain slack every time you clean it, depending on how often you ride every couple weeks to every month, once you reach excessive slack, then it's time to adjust.
@@4KMotoring I ride a lot 2up on 3000 miles trips. How often do you think it would need adjusting on a trip like that ? I really appreciate your advice thanks 👍
When I go on similar trips, I try my best to clean the chain every thousand miles at most. Every time I do that I'm checking the chain slack. Trains have a life cycle and tend to stretch more at different points throughout that cycle so it's hard to give a definite "this is how long it takes" answer. If you're close to the edge of your chain slack spec before your trip, probably a good time to adjust it. If you're well within that spec, you'll probably be closer to the oil change 5000-9000 mi limit before realistically needing to adjust it

Ducati 2022 doesn't matter what color but if red is available I'd take that one, nice video
Thx a lot for the clear explanations!
Thank you for the very insightful detailed chain adjustment blog!!
i though you measure and adjust it while wheel on the ground ..and not on center stand to get it an accurate reading .so which one is better . thanks

Also worth mentioning:
Preload setting should be set to minimum (4) while checking / adjusting the chain. 🙂
