"I never plan anything!" What a refreshing attitude 😄. I could listen to his travel tales for hours - such enthusiasm and genuine enjoyment of the moment. Self-funded, too. A true adventurer 👍
I also never plan, and that´s how you get the "best" experiences :) Sometimes it´s hard, but after time you´ll just appreciate the extra moments you would otherwise never had..!
I've been around the world 4 times, a year each time, & not one trip was ever planned. Yeah sure the countries I was going to see & the direction was planned, but boy oh boy what a blast it is when you don't plan things. Every day is an adventure. You wake up on the other side of the world in shock, & for a few seconds you wonder where you are, & say to yourself "where will I go today?". My '95 trip had 25 airplane flights (Tickets back then), & all read "OPEN" on every ticket. I've been on organised trips in todays world & none of them match the 4 big one's unplanned. I understand totally every word Mr King is saying here. Good onya mate! Absolutely compelled now to watch the next episode. Good luck groover! ;-)
Thanks for the mention Ben King, im truely honoured to have met you rode with you and helped and supported you through the world, ride on bro, love from me Dan Banks, Wanda, Valentino and JD

Ben is one of the lucky individuals that has realised what life is all about at a young age, before he's too old to do anything about living it fully....he's done more at 23 than most of us do in a lifetime, truly inspirational chap.
Thanks for this conversation since I been following Ben from the beginning. It awesome to hear him explain his experiences in hind sight! That video posted is where I was first introduced to this crazy guy traveling around the world without a plan. What a great idea!
What a great kid , wish some kids his age in uk could take some tips from this young man on life and work ethic!!! Looking forward to the next interview
Can't believe the link up. I found Ben's channel a while ago, independently of TMF. Such a personality. No wonder he is being looked after on his travels. Hope he makes it to Australia!
Thanks for posting this TMF.....Ben's joy and enthusiasm is the perfect antidote to all the cynicism and woe is me attitude of so many, and it's great to hear his story. We all need a reminder sometimes to live in the moment and enjoy it!. As a middle aged prone to cynicism git myself I will happily take a small life lesson from young Ben!. What a star, a young man his age doing this is remarkable . I’ve followed Ben from day one and some of the places he has been so far are amazing, thumbs up Ben keep it going 👍🏼
Ben has such a great character & brilliant outlook on life. Refreshing to see someone so young with that. Cheers for posting TMF. Could've listened for hours. I see a book deal for him. 😉👍
The video uploads of his trip in Iran are awesome, that island he visited looks amazing, no wonder he had to extend his visa for Iran. Thanks for the update Mr Flyer. 👍👍👍
I've followed Ben on Instagram since he left, it's a wonderful adventure he's having. He's doing it his way, which is very refreshing and he's quite an endearing character isn't he? Reminds me of a certain silver haired maths teacher who shall remain nameless. Excellent to have this opportunity to hear some of his stories and given that he's only a few months into the trip here, this could have quite a few parts! Hopefully.
What a great young man. I don't do the social media thing but saw your video when he set off. Thanks TMF for the update....he will have great stories and memories throughout his lifetime. I doubt this will be his last adventure. If you remember, please pass on my regards and support. Dave xs
How crazingly interesting is that! Good attitude, being open to everything sure helps and obviously he's fearless (most young people are). Seems like an excellent young man. All Hail "the King"!
Well done Ben a true inspiration to travel and getting out there and just doing what you enjoy doing, beats sitting in an office all day dreaming about this sort of thing ... keep up the work, both you and the M flyer 👊 ride safe
Love the lads enthusiasm, the trip is turning more into an experiment on the the power of social media and the generosity of strangers. Completely mystifies me why folks have watched and thumbed your vid down?? Is it the folks upset that he didn't do the trip he told everyone he was going to do? Cheers and thanks for the update

Quite amazed that the experts involved in the trips preparation hadn't mentioned things as important as a green card. Good luck with rest of the journey.
Camping in the winter would be to far for me. Riding across the world is a dream of mine and having spent most of my life suffering from anxiety I have always had this belief it would be the best form of medicine for me. Being out there and constantly dealing with people could only ever have a confidence effect on me personally. One day we will see.👍
What great spirit and enthusiasm and i'm glad he gave up that racing nonsense. So much better for the experience and will produce fabulous memories. Good interview TMF by the way!

Hi great to see you back with some more videos, not too soon may I add! I will return to the UK in March from Australia after 30 years and will live in Windsor. Would appreciate if you could recommend a club or a group of riders to have a ride now and then, I have ordered a KTM 1290 SAS so I will be ready and eager to explore after the South East or join up to some tours, thanks in anticipation would be please to supply email contact if deemed important. PS Happy New Year Iwan
Crikey what's making you move back I wonder? You do realise the weather is still pants here and (without wishing to depress you) the riding in the South East is pretty rubbish - anyway, all that notwithstanding, good luck with your return, few places as nice as Windsor to come back to! Sadly I don't know of any local clubs....sorry.
Hi TMF, are you ok with me linking to your interview vids with Ben in the description on an upcoming vid on my channel? I met him today and he was every bit as awesome as your vids showed him to be. I'd love his trip to reach a larger audience and your interview really showed Ben in the light he deserves! :-)
Sounds like he's had fun, and made the most of it. As you say, it would be easy to assume he's had everything gifted to him, but sounds as though he worked hard to be able to do it. Yes, we do have to work to pay bills and rent, I assume Ben isn't sponging off the state here as he's not in this country so can't see he's doing any harm to anyone else. A word of caution to him though, my nephew did the same. Saved every penny he could scrape together for 2 or 3 years, and travelled the world seeing as much as he could. He's on his last week before coming home due to the money getting very low. Yesterday my sister had the call she'd been dreading since he left. At 9am yesterday morning, he was mugged in Brazil by 3 men, one of whom had a machete type knife which he used to slash my nephew down across the face, as well as other injuries. He's survived and still able to come home again, but he's been very lucky. I note Ben says he doesn't plan where he goes particularly. I would encourage anyone doing similar trips to research the areas they are looking at travelling to, and avoid south america as much as possible. I agree with anyone who says nobody forced him to go there, but it does highlight how vulnerable we can be when in foreign parts. Looking forward to Part 2, sounds like he's had an amazing time.
Absolutely correct, he could get slashed anywhere. On this occasion though, a little pre trip research would've shown that area had an exceptionally high rate of muggings on tourists using knives. In a weird twist of fate, the medical staff there are so adept at dealing with that type of injury, they've done a phenomenal job of treating his wounds. We live and learn, my point being we can reduce the risks by a little research prior to going on these trips. Stay safe people
Well done Ben because you are so well spoken I fell into the trap of thinking the bank of mum and dad were funding you. Nothing wrong with that as I would do it for my kids and grandsons if I had the money so to learn how hard you worked to save for this trip really is inspirational. Oh hope my wife doesn't read this because when I moan about setting off on an adventure but cannot afford to her first words are "your have to learn to save then".
