I always thought a region at least partially based off of Pangea (the ancient supercontinent) would be really cool, with wild fossil Pokémon everywhere or even maybe the ancient Paradox forms also running around. Maybe there could be some research bases and certain towns that would also have the future Paradox Pokémon to tie them in as well. It could tie in to S/V a bit, like someone perfected the time machine and the premise of the game is that you’re an apprentice researcher who is exploring this ancient land to catalog all the species that lived in the prehistory of Pokémon. Either way, I think it has a strong potential to be able to sustain a very in depth Pokémon game, even if it’s unlikely one will ever take place there (but I’d love at least to explore for myself what a potential Pokémon game based around that would look like).

I kinda thought of the same thing but reverse of the past ie the future what if neo Pangea or whatever the name of it will be I imagine the Pokémon are all based off speculative evolution and media related to it and even human history and things like sports and the city’s based on different what ifs of the future in fiction either a Utopia or a Dystopian City or nature reclaiming the city and I even though of speculative dlc with the Hollow Earth theory and Mars.

plus lets not forget the great lakes many cultural and technological achievments, wouldn't be great if they had two regional forms of revaroom depending on where you catch/ evolve it. one version mimicing a delorian/ studebaker if you catch it in the part of the region thats called michiana, the other mimicking a ford/chrystler if you catch/ evolve closer to the detroit/ windsor area
a Mexico Region would be so so cool, Jungles, Deserts, Volcano, Icy Mountain, Beaches, Rivers, Lakes, Forest, Country side, big cities, Ancient Civilizations, conquered by Paldeans Quetzals, Xolos, Axolote, Panthern, Prehispanic Gods, La Llorona, etc etc, Maractus, Hawlucha and Ludicolo have been teasing this region for so long!
I never even considered the Great Lakes as a whole before! As someone who lives in the area, I love everything about this region idea. Looking forward to whatever the future holds!
After going back to my country this holiday. Even though I know for sure it wouldn't happen cuz El Salvador is like it is. But the overall central/Meso American and south American regions would be amazing to explore in game if handled well. There are so many volcanoes and mountains but the way the settlements in these areas have been handled is so unique. Volcano villages. Volcanoes surrounding a lake. A lake on a dormant volcano crater, the beaches. The cities built in these areas! Floating cities, mountain towns and lake towns. All the different indigenous groups living in the areas and coexisting speaking their languages (many outsiders seem to assume its just Spanish or Portuguese spoken in these countries but theres a lot more) the culture as well as all the volcanic activity and tradition could inform so much of the pokemon designs and legendaries. Kinda sad that most of the time I see vids about where next pokemon should be its either Japan or some European area. When there's so much more out there not just what I focused on this comment but other south east Asian countries, the middle East. Etc. But I guess sadly a lot of the time these countries aren't depicted in the best of lights.
Personally, my pick near the top is Ireland; Ireland has a lot of unique creatures and its own mythology, lore, and history that the Pokemon franchise really hasn't tapped into yet. The only Pokemon I can really think of with Irish roots is Primurina, and I've heard most of the community associate that Pokemon more with the Greek Sirens than the Irish Selkies. Granted, Ireland's topography doesn't seem to be as diverse as most of the other regions we've seen up until now, but Irish culture actually does give us a bit of an out on that front; you just need to know where to look. And it's native name even has Pokemon region vibes to me; Ireland is natively called Eire (pronounced Eh-Ruh or Air-Uh), and that proves to me Gaelic and Celtic names can really work selling the Pokemon region naming vibe; the name basically says its the land of one of their acient goddesses's, because it literally uses her name to name the land, but things start to get messy because of the work of the Catholics, as is usually the case with European Catholics get involved. Look up The Book of Invasions, Irelands collection of lore about its mythological settlers, when you get the chance; the book has some considerable holes in it, due to a number of factors, and the Catholic church is at least partially responsible for some of those holes while also trying to Christianize Ireland's existing lore so as to bring it more in line with the English ideal structure, that is because it was mostly English Catholics that did this. Back when I was thinking about how to turn Ireland I thought about a number of things, like the starters and Legendaries. The Starter Pokemon I came up with, I think fit pretty well; they are pretty divers in what they are based on.The Grass Starter is supposed to be based on the Irish Hind (and a bit on the extinct Irish Red Deer, formerly known as the Irish Red Elk), with the final evolution being a Grass/Fairy type based on the Tuatha De Dannan known as Cerrunos; the Water Starter is based on an otter that becomes more dog-like as it evolves, addition to getting a spear, and becomes a Water/Fighting type based on the mythological Irish hero Chucalain (whose name literally translates to "Hound of Chulain"), it's also a bit of cultural joke, the Irish Celtic name for an otter literally translates to "water dog," do with that what you will; and the Fire Starter would be based on a Badger that evolves into a Fire/Dark or Fire/Ground typed Bear, which is another bit of a cultural joke, there are actually no bears in Ireland, they all died out ages ago, but the Irish badgers are jokingly referred to as "Irish Bears;" and that's the starters. As for the primary Legendaries, I thought I would just go with the theming provided in Irish Fairy lore, the queen of the Seelie court is referred to with the title/moniker of Summer and the queen of the Unseelie court is referred to with the title/Moniker of Winter, so I thought having some Legendaries based on them would be fitting, summer would be a Fairy/Fire type with a unique ability that basically makes a neverending Sunny Day type of effect as long as she is on the field, while Winter would have unique ability that basically gives a neverending Snowcloak effect that as long as she is on the field, in addition their abilities would also have the added effect of forcing the other off the field when they come out, that reflect the dynamic of Summer and Winter not liking each other while also reflecting how the seasons can often feel like they are forcing each other out. And that's all I'm willing to share on that end, and I think I lost the notepad where I wrote the rest of the interesting stuff down a while back :P. I also think it could be fun to see a region based on Mexico or Columbia or Brazil; they all have distinctive features that could be really fun to get translated into Pokemon regions. Something else I thin could be fun to see the Pokemon franchise do is give canonical ancestors to the regional starter Pokemon, I think you can figure out what that means.
I truly love a region based on Ireland, especially Pokémon based on our fauna, culture, folklore and such, and Game Freak can actually give us a proper Banshee Pokemon too, a pot of Gold form for Gimmieghoul too, they could do a Pokémon based on the Salmon of Knowledge and give existing Pokémon some regional form based on the region they are in, a Steel/Fighting type Pawnard line based on the medieval knights and a split evolution too, a Kestral Pokémon, Sheep dog Pokémon, a Jack Russel Pokémon, red squirrel Pokémon and so on, a Legendary quartet Pokémon based on the seasons, I wonder what box Legendaries be based on tho, also a third main Legendary based on the whole culture of the land tbh, so many ideas tbh, also Puffins and Minks too, also a Dulahan Pokémon too, the regional dex would mostly be ghost, rock, water, Fairy, grass and such, with few sub type like fire, ice and such, also some dragon and other types too to fill it all out as well, so yeah
@@bradwhite5884 I heard Banshee evolved out of the Irish occupation of what were called "Mourners" or "Wailers," they were women that were paid quite well to Wail and Mourn openly for families while the family itself maintained a stoic facade for the event, So I can see a Banshee Pokemon being a Ghost/Fairy type or Ghost/Normal type.

I personally would love to see a region based in Australia, since it's one of my favorite countries. I also have three other region ideas namely China, Brazil and the Caribbean. I also think that Cinderace and Quaquaval could fit perfectly for a Brazilian inspired region, since they're themed around two of the most popular things in Brazil, soccer and the Rio carnival.
I NEED an Italian region. It always bothers me how Italy is technically very popular in Japan, getting outclassed only by probably the USA and France, but we have so little about it in videogames and media in general. It's like everyone forgets about it (yes, I'm Italian, but still my point stands)

I could also imagine Brazil, Greece or a combination of Germany, Austria and Switzerland to be interesting. As a German myself, I would find the latter one interesting. Although, there is a chance that the designers would just take the Alps and leave the rest of Germany out, referencing only the clichés that represent Bavaria, _not_ all of Germany. (Sorry, sensitive topic) Regions based on Italy, Germany or Switzerland could also be connected to Kalos lore-wise. I have also thought of a Scandinavian/Nordic region. You could have Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland for the main story and Iceland for post-game content. That could be a chance to bring back the weather system of Gen 5, for snowy paradises in winter (maybe lakes and parts of rivers frozen, with fishing holes in the ice) and idyllic hiking trails in summer (revealing some hidden areas that are blocked by snow in winter).

I kinda want a german region with a lore triankle with Kalos and the scandinavian regions. Something centered around life and death, birth and rebirth and start and ending. Like a massive tree (Yggdrasil) on an island in the North Sea that gave birth to multiple legendaries like Xerneas, Yveltal and Zygarde and also being the center of a pokemon World version of the northern pantheon and the upcoming Ragnarök.
Australia + New Zealand as DLC works for me, as well as Italian peninsula + Sicily & Sardinia as DLC. I would very much like to see the next gen going Nordic, it would be the most novel and refreshing concept so far
I hope Gen 10 brings back the Dark/Ghost type combination. Think about it, the only 2 with that typing have 3 syllables in their names and begin with S.
What relevance does the names have to them making a new Pokémon of that type? The localization teams have nothing to do with the actual design or typings of Pokémon. Not that I *wouldn't* want a better Dark/Ghost type, but they'll name it whatever they want to - even if it's another three-syllable S name.
Congo has so many type of areas, the flora and fauna to based the perfect region. Sea, high speed rivers, legends, myths, savane, tropical forests, volcanoes, big cities. A lot of pokemon are based on animals from there Lion, cheetah, Zebra... It will be a great one.
I would love for them to make a region based in an African country! The Congo is often overshadowed by its negative aspects, so Pokemon could shine a light on the country's beauty!
My top pick was a region based on the Middle-Southern part of the US (Missouri, Louisiana, Florida, etc but mainly Louisiana) mainly because it would be nice to see such a colorful place be turned into a region
Louisiana as a region is an idea I am obsessed with. I've actually been working on making my own fan region based around it. I want to make a fan game in RPG Maker and have been steadily working on assets and coming up with lore. There is so much culture and history to dig into, it's been a really fun project. Having grown up here, I've always wanted someone to do Louisiana representation justice, because nearly every time it gets depicted in media it just feels like a really bad caricature, plus the ties it could have with Kalos and Paldea. The thing that really sold me on this idea was theming the gym challenge around the Mardi Gras festival. It would be really cool to see Game Freak's take on it, though I don't know how likely it is that they would do it any time in the near future.

It’s a shame it usually gorse unexplored in media, so I made part of my fakemon region based on it!
I’ve been thinking that a region based on Canada would be super interesting, as it would be north of Unova, and have ripe opportunity for lore involving the indigenous people of the land, where in Canada there is far more focus on them.
I personally want a reigon based on Maryland, not only because I live there but it's close connection to the Chesapeake bay and extremely diverse landscape could lead to some really interesting locations. Maybe an evil team could be a gang in a city parallel to Baltimore. I imagine that this Maryland reigon would be full of grass and water types!
I've always wanted a region based on New England, since I used to live there. It would be so cool to see the Appalachian Mountains in a new Pokemon light, along with all the urban legends, folklore, and horror novel inspired areas and pokemon. plus with how close to Unova a region like that would be, we'd probably see a lot of characters from there too!

Going back to Japan would make sense for Gen 10, since it's such a momentous occasion. Maybe they could revive the original Gen 2 concept and just make the ENTIRE country and set it 30 years after the original like in real life!

India and Brazil are hinted at in the games and anime. Mew was found in a Brazil like region according to the anime and just look at Copperajah's dex entries; it refers to an India like region.
Would LOVE South Africa. It’s an English speaking country, it has PENGUINS, mountains, safari, wine lands, great white sharks- it’s an amazing country. Brazil is big on my list as well.
6:18 Italy is such a good option for a Pokémon region. Not to mention the fact France and Spain are literally near it. Both Pokemon Regions. Also I’m pretty sure one of Paldea’s Starters is based off something that Italy created/famous person. (I don’t know what starter specifically)
I’m all for Italy in the future- but not yet. I want a break from Europe. And Italy is so similar to Spain being a Mediterranean, warm weather country. We need a little more variation from the region we just had.
British Columbia!! Bustling cities in lower mainland (like Vancouver), the olympic/resort city of Whistler (good Location for the league), an isolated region/island (Vancouver Island or Haida Gwaii which can include some rainforests/oceanic landscapes), Okanagan Valley (vineyards, valleys), northern British Columbia (some port cities and tundra like geography), and of course the Rockies bordering Alberta!
I'd love to see more convergent pokemon variations! like, imagine drifloon, but instead of a balloon, it's instead *Squidloon!* and to fit the italy [greek mainly] theme it could evolve into *Kraklim!*
I think the convergent Pokémon tend to have a same part in their names. Like Wiglett (Diglett) and Wugtrio (Dugtrio) Toedscool (Tentacool) and Toedscruel (Tentacruel) Poltchageist (Poteageist) and Sinistcha (Sinistea)

The great Lakes idea and the Australian idea both sound great. The idea for it sounds interesting. The Italy one, i dont know. It's possible, especially if they decide to do one like Hisui/past Sinnoh. Showing past Italy/Greece and everything. However, If im promoting or putting out Ideas. I have one I think would be interesting: The Amazon. Think about it. Doing a Pokemon variant of South America where it focused mainly on the Amazon. It has a vast amount of animals that could be used as potential pokemon. They could a variant of the Nazca, Peru, where they show the Nazca Lines. That has potential in pokemon. Another, the Mountainous terrain of Chile. That landscape would be pefect for polemon to exist. Then there is the Jungle terrain that the Amazon is infamous about. But then there is the big point of the Amazon which could set the foundation of the new pokemon game or Gen 10: the Amazon River. The Amazon River is the focal point of the Amazon, filled dangerous animals and legends that could set of a very good story line for a pokemon game. It's also said that the Amazon River goes by the name of the Great Beast of the Amazon, which could open as a new Legendary Pokemon that uses the Amazon River as it home or the deep depths of the Amazon as it home. Then you could introduce the tribes of the Amazon in the game, since they live in the Amazon. Many ideas.
I want a region based on the west coast of the US and western Canada. Imagine what the starters and the new eeveelutions would be. I would love to see how the huge coniferous forests would be like in the region and new pokémon based on North American cryptids and various pop culture like superheroes (I know that we have Palafin), slasher villains, rubberhose cartoons, video games, etc.
I would like: - Appalachia-inspired region (It would be near Unova and it would have pokemon inspired by Appalachian history/culture) - Germany, Austria and Switzerland - Well, I just want to see how they manage to make a region filled with German culture (And the legendary theme could be Industry VS Nature as Germany also experienced industrial moments) (Also just no N!zi related content or just tone it down to vague militaristic stuff) - South Africa - C'mon, that wouldn't be bad idea after all. - Turkiye/Turkey - That would be nice. Interesting lore and ideas for that region. Also kebab mon. - Mexico - Paldea is here, so it's not surprising to see Mexico as another spanish-speaking-country-inspired region.
My top 5 picks: 5. Brazil (The eastern part of Brazil, which includes cities like Rio De Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Brasilia. A DLC expansion would explore the western part of Brazil including the Amazon Rainforest with a tropical climate and amazing animal species.) 4. South Africa, Lesotho and Eswatini (Swaziland) (A location of Africa that has a big economy. Therefore they can do a region based there like a city based on Johannesburg and Cape Town.) 3. Egypt (A lot of Pokemon creatures like Lucario have Egyptian like aspects, so a region based on Egypt with a lot of desert would be interesting.) 2. Vietnam (I'm partly Vietnamese so biasness plays a big part, but I would like to see Pokemon try and target some minor countries too, and Vietnam would be a great choice for this. I know it's not likely but I would be interested to see it.) 1. Sydney and New South Wales, Australia (I'm from Sydney, so a region based on Sydney would be great. Not the whole of Australia though as it's too big. If they can base the Unova region on just New York City, then they could base a region on just Sydney city and some surrounding places around NSW. A DLC expansion would explore Western NSW too.) Sorry there are no locations based on Europe and USA in my Top 5 list here, but because they've already done regions based on those locations already (especially Europe which they did a lot on already).
Maybe a South American based region with strong ties to the Mayan and other culturaly significant civilizations from that region. Maybe with a significantly sized area based off the Amazon Rainforest.
Even though these regions would be pretty cool, it’s likely that of these, Italy would be one of the most likely of locales, as there’s already been an emphasis on cold regions with large cultural-defining lakes in the Sinnoh / Hisui region, and along with the mentions of cold climates like Sinjoh, it pushes the possibility back for Scandinavia. This is also especially considering that we had the Crown Tundra of Galar, and Galar revealing a few Nordic-inspired Pokémon such as Perrserker and Runerigus. Now, I’d mentioned Sinjoh as a region that we’ve already previously heard of, but rarely visited outside of the Gen 4 event to the Sinjoh Ruins. However, there are other regions we know exist, but have simply not been to yet. Yungoos and Copperajah, for example, were most definitely imported from an India-based region. It is likely Meditite and Medicham also come from this region, as well, so there’s many hints to that down the line. An Indian region DOES exist, we just haven’t been there. The same can be said for a Chinese region, where it’s likely the Treasures of Ruin originate from, as well as possibly the quartet of Tornadus, Thundurus, Landorus, and Enamorus. I believe we’d visit India or Italy before they’d decide we would go to China, but I bet this Chinese region would be massive, an insane cultural experience to undertake. Australia would be cool and all, but I think they’d certainly not only mix in elements of the native Australian wilderness, but also of the Aboriginal concept of “Dreamtime,” warping the player to another world to battle a Pokémon who reigns over a conceptual dream space of sorts. It seems similar to Alola in a lot of ways with the Ultra Beasts, so perhaps they could introduce an Australian region as DLC in the future Alolan remake.
I agree with two of the 5 region for generation 10 Pokémon, Australia and Italy would be amazing to see. There are other 3 region I would like to add, India for it's rich history and colourful characters. Just imagine a Pokémon that based on thire iconic bird the Indian peafowl. Egypt will be great also, I would like to see some Egyptian inspired Pokémon in my Pokédex. Another North American region for generation 10 Pokémon is the Southwest region, from Texas to Las Vegas Nevada, that's a lot of Pokémon to catch and see.
I think it'd be really cool to see a Ireland based region one day with a lot of the pokemon being based on Irish, Manx and Scottish folklore, especially since the open bogs valleys and meadows could make for a cool open world environment
One based off the American southwest would be great, Area 51 with old legendaries and paradox pokemon, ice gym in the mountain ranges, a Disneyland parody, the natural rock structures, vast deserts, and Albuquerque area for the villains who are crime lords and the city has many turns you need to take, Hollywood, Las Vegas being the elite 4 area, Alcatraz island/golden gate bridge being a steel gym, ghost gym in a ghost town, a Wild West town, Grand Canyon, they call the main trail Route 66, water gym at Elis island, an electric gym at an oil pump farm and the leader of the gym/ owner of the farm is a parody of rockifeller and US oil. And overall there’s just a lot of areas from the southwest location and history wise to make a region out of.
One of the Great Lakes would make an interesting Pokemon region. I can easily picture cities based off of Green Bay, Chicago, Detroit, and Cleveland making up half of the gym cities. *(Cleveland's would have to be in their version of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.)* With Toronto likely being where the Pokemon League would be housed.
India, Brazil or Australia would be amazing. All 3 have a diverse mix of flora and fauna and their own unique ecosystem. Would love to see a peacock Pokemon from India, a Platypus one from Australia and an Arawana fish Pokemon from Brazil.

I wondered what a Pokemon region based on California would be like. We have LA in the very bottom of California so maybe that can serve as a perfect place to put a city at kinda like Lumiose city. And there are stadiums nearby the airports as well to serve as Pokemon leagues!
I honestly think that the next region should be based on Italy. I mean, we already have Kalos, which is based on France, so it would make SO much sense to have another region based on another part of the Mediterranean.
Italy would be nice. Especially if they wanted to flex their customisation chops for Milan. India would be interesting in terms of the different terrains and wildlife. Would be cool to see Copperajah in its natural habitat. Brazil or Venezuela would be cool if we were going to keep the whole stadium idea going. Just don’t make the villains the people in the shanty towns. That would be messed up.
I have a feeling it’s going to be Italy. So easy to transition off of Paldea. But my dream would be for it to be Mexico. Brazil or Egypt would be super cool too.
Personally, I would like a Central Europe region, mostly because Hungary only gets acknowledged in media through obscure references that most people won't even notice. And we have a lot of stuff: a legendary stag, a legendary bird, 3 dogs, a fluffy pig, a fancy cow and a lot of horses! I don't remember every official or Buddymon starter, but I think we don't have a horse starter yet, which I think would be awesome. A grass-ground type horse that doubles as transportation! We also have a lot of thermal baths everywhere, which seems like a great excuse to unnecessarily inflate the water-fire element combination.

My List: (not in order) 1. China, because of Fisherman Bronson, Arcanine & Parasect's Pokédex entries & the 6 sages' proverbs 2. India, because of similar references, like Copperajah & Raichu's Pokédex entry 2.5. Journey to the West region combining China & India. 3. Russia, because Silph Co. has a branch there. 4. Guyana, because that's where Mew was discovered. Xatu's Pokédex entries mention South America. 5. Roman Empire, because Italy, Greece & Egypt probably could fit into 1 region.

Since we do have a UK-inspired region with Galar, if and when they do eventually set the new region in Italy and maybe countries like Greece even, whenever they get around to making the Middle East inspired one, they could connect them together since these countries have historically had some influence in the region. If Genshin Impact managed to make a region loosely inspired by the ME and SEA regions combined, Pokemon can do it too.
My guess is that Game Freak will try to make regions based on the main countries were they sell their games first, since Paldea was gen 9 i think we can leave Italy aside for now, leaving us with Germany, another US based region, South Korea, China, Japan, Australia and Canada. The Kitakami DLC maybe could be the teaser to a return in Japan (or the Far East), but since Gen 10 could also possibily mean a Gen 5 remake I don't think another US based region is higly possible.
I think we had enough regions in japan. Literally in Paldea and galar, Spain/Brittan and as a vacation in both we got to japan/Asian inspired locations...again. I'd like to see places that are also non white and let's try Mexico, Isrel, Brazil, Africa those places have such rich and colorful history and cultures begging to be explored in a pokemon game. The crazy advanced cities in Africa and the large wild lands and mountains and rich greenery around it as well. It's always sad to me that people have such a small scope of "here's my list of several pokemon region ideas and they're all light skinned dominated nations." There's so many different places and ideas and amazing wildlife. Heck we already have most pokemon based on African and middle eastern locations.
This so much! It's so common that people ask for nations that yes are beautiful and rich but seem to avoid these places for no reason. It kinda annoys me.

I think Taiwan, Phillippines or South East Asia could also be good. But more controversial is South Korea. There are countries however I don't think Gamefreak will ever try.
I've been designing Pokemon and a map for a region based on TN, KY and WV as a hobby for a few years now. I chose it cause it's my home region and I figured no one else would ever make a region based on it because of how seemingly plain it is. But I always have trouble deciding how true-to-life I want it. I have a lot of bias because I'm from here, but I can't include everything even if there isn't a game that has to be made. How did you decide on the depth and size of your past regions?
I would love all of these to become regions one day especially a Nordic based region. Region ideas that i would love to see are Greece, China, Africa,Canada and Mexico.
What I would love to see and am surprised that not more people are asking for would be a region based on Africa. Since Sword and Shield introduced the idea of a wild area, and the fact that Legends Arceus and Scarlet and Violet are now fully open world, and lastly, the fact that the savannah biome in the Terrarium exists, makes me REALLY want to see what Gamefreak would do for an African based region. Imagine the pokemon found in the Savannah Biome in the Terrarium, but instead they have regional variants, as well as some new pokemon based on animals we don't have yet, like Cheetahs, mambas, and gazelles.
I really hope Gen 10 is Australia, unless it's gonna be as buggy as gen 9, then I suppose I can wait for the perfect Australia region later on. All your ideas were great! I think above Kanto could be cool tho. Possibly letting Kanto be explorable after the main game would be huge!
An open world Pokémon game based on Australia would have to be as big as Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The country is bigger than the entirety of the U.S. mainland. Throw in Tasmania as DLC territory-there are literal devils there.
All you ideas are, in my opinion, highly interesting and I'd like to add some of my thoughts/ideas. Firstly, the Scandinavia region holds great dlc potential since there can be a dlc with an Iceland-inspired region and another dlc with a Greenland-inspired region which would be very sick dlc if you know those islands (I can already picture riding on sleighs towed by husky pokémon, or catching some cool water-fire type mon or ice-fire type mon while walking around the Icelandic geysers and thermal baths). Secondly, I think it would be great if one day they chose an Eastern/Central Eastern European setting for one of their new regions (e.g. Russia, Poland, Czechia, Hungary, Romania, the Caucasus, the Baltics, etc.) since that area is full of interesting cultures and places to borrow ideas from as well as a very interesting and complex history from which to draw inspiration. Eastern and Central Eastern Europe have an interesting fauna too, since animals such as the European bison and Beluga Sturgeon are native to there. Thirdly, Brazil would be very interesting too, it has an interesting georgaphy too with jungles, praries and mountains. It is incredibly rich in biodiversity with endless options for new pokémons and it is also a great melting pot of cultures, with various native and non native communities living there all with their own cultures which are source for lots of inspiration. Also, the huge Amazon river could be a greag opportunity to introduce a river dolphin pokémon to ride on while traversing the river to maybe reach some mysterious locations deep within the jungle.
I always thought a region at least partially based off of Pangea (the ancient supercontinent) would be really cool, with wild fossil Pokémon everywhere or even maybe the ancient Paradox forms also running around. Maybe there could be some research bases and certain towns that would also have the future Paradox Pokémon to tie them in as well. It could tie in to S/V a bit, like someone perfected the time machine and the premise of the game is that you’re an apprentice researcher who is exploring this ancient land to catalog all the species that lived in the prehistory of Pokémon. Either way, I think it has a strong potential to be able to sustain a very in depth Pokémon game, even if it’s unlikely one will ever take place there (but I’d love at least to explore for myself what a potential Pokémon game based around that would look like).

I kinda thought of the same thing but reverse of the past ie the future what if neo Pangea or whatever the name of it will be I imagine the Pokémon are all based off speculative evolution and media related to it and even human history and things like sports and the city’s based on different what ifs of the future in fiction either a Utopia or a Dystopian City or nature reclaiming the city and I even though of speculative dlc with the Hollow Earth theory and Mars.

plus lets not forget the great lakes many cultural and technological achievments, wouldn't be great if they had two regional forms of revaroom depending on where you catch/ evolve it. one version mimicing a delorian/ studebaker if you catch it in the part of the region thats called michiana, the other mimicking a ford/chrystler if you catch/ evolve closer to the detroit/ windsor area

a Mexico Region would be so so cool, Jungles, Deserts, Volcano, Icy Mountain, Beaches, Rivers, Lakes, Forest, Country side, big cities, Ancient Civilizations, conquered by Paldeans
Quetzals, Xolos, Axolote, Panthern, Prehispanic Gods, La Llorona, etc etc, Maractus, Hawlucha and Ludicolo have been teasing this region for so long!
I never even considered the Great Lakes as a whole before! As someone who lives in the area, I love everything about this region idea. Looking forward to whatever the future holds!
After going back to my country this holiday. Even though I know for sure it wouldn't happen cuz El Salvador is like it is. But the overall central/Meso American and south American regions would be amazing to explore in game if handled well. There are so many volcanoes and mountains but the way the settlements in these areas have been handled is so unique. Volcano villages. Volcanoes surrounding a lake. A lake on a dormant volcano crater, the beaches. The cities built in these areas! Floating cities, mountain towns and lake towns. All the different indigenous groups living in the areas and coexisting speaking their languages (many outsiders seem to assume its just Spanish or Portuguese spoken in these countries but theres a lot more) the culture as well as all the volcanic activity and tradition could inform so much of the pokemon designs and legendaries.
Kinda sad that most of the time I see vids about where next pokemon should be its either Japan or some European area. When there's so much more out there not just what I focused on this comment but other south east Asian countries, the middle East. Etc.
But I guess sadly a lot of the time these countries aren't depicted in the best of lights.
I'd love to see a region based on Latin/South America! Japan does have connections with some of those countries!
Nice to see you finally back, I've missed your region videos.
Personally, my pick near the top is Ireland; Ireland has a lot of unique creatures and its own mythology, lore, and history that the Pokemon franchise really hasn't tapped into yet. The only Pokemon I can really think of with Irish roots is Primurina, and I've heard most of the community associate that Pokemon more with the Greek Sirens than the Irish Selkies. Granted, Ireland's topography doesn't seem to be as diverse as most of the other regions we've seen up until now, but Irish culture actually does give us a bit of an out on that front; you just need to know where to look. And it's native name even has Pokemon region vibes to me; Ireland is natively called Eire (pronounced Eh-Ruh or Air-Uh), and that proves to me Gaelic and Celtic names can really work selling the Pokemon region naming vibe; the name basically says its the land of one of their acient goddesses's, because it literally uses her name to name the land, but things start to get messy because of the work of the Catholics, as is usually the case with European Catholics get involved. Look up The Book of Invasions, Irelands collection of lore about its mythological settlers, when you get the chance; the book has some considerable holes in it, due to a number of factors, and the Catholic church is at least partially responsible for some of those holes while also trying to Christianize Ireland's existing lore so as to bring it more in line with the English ideal structure, that is because it was mostly English Catholics that did this.
Back when I was thinking about how to turn Ireland I thought about a number of things, like the starters and Legendaries. The Starter Pokemon I came up with, I think fit pretty well; they are pretty divers in what they are based on.The Grass Starter is supposed to be based on the Irish Hind (and a bit on the extinct Irish Red Deer, formerly known as the Irish Red Elk), with the final evolution being a Grass/Fairy type based on the Tuatha De Dannan known as Cerrunos; the Water Starter is based on an otter that becomes more dog-like as it evolves, addition to getting a spear, and becomes a Water/Fighting type based on the mythological Irish hero Chucalain (whose name literally translates to "Hound of Chulain"), it's also a bit of cultural joke, the Irish Celtic name for an otter literally translates to "water dog," do with that what you will; and the Fire Starter would be based on a Badger that evolves into a Fire/Dark or Fire/Ground typed Bear, which is another bit of a cultural joke, there are actually no bears in Ireland, they all died out ages ago, but the Irish badgers are jokingly referred to as "Irish Bears;" and that's the starters. As for the primary Legendaries, I thought I would just go with the theming provided in Irish Fairy lore, the queen of the Seelie court is referred to with the title/moniker of Summer and the queen of the Unseelie court is referred to with the title/Moniker of Winter, so I thought having some Legendaries based on them would be fitting, summer would be a Fairy/Fire type with a unique ability that basically makes a neverending Sunny Day type of effect as long as she is on the field, while Winter would have unique ability that basically gives a neverending Snowcloak effect that as long as she is on the field, in addition their abilities would also have the added effect of forcing the other off the field when they come out, that reflect the dynamic of Summer and Winter not liking each other while also reflecting how the seasons can often feel like they are forcing each other out.
And that's all I'm willing to share on that end, and I think I lost the notepad where I wrote the rest of the interesting stuff down a while back :P.
I also think it could be fun to see a region based on Mexico or Columbia or Brazil; they all have distinctive features that could be really fun to get translated into Pokemon regions.
Something else I thin could be fun to see the Pokemon franchise do is give canonical ancestors to the regional starter Pokemon, I think you can figure out what that means.
I truly love a region based on Ireland, especially Pokémon based on our fauna, culture, folklore and such, and Game Freak can actually give us a proper Banshee Pokemon too, a pot of Gold form for Gimmieghoul too, they could do a Pokémon based on the Salmon of Knowledge and give existing Pokémon some regional form based on the region they are in, a Steel/Fighting type Pawnard line based on the medieval knights and a split evolution too, a Kestral Pokémon, Sheep dog Pokémon, a Jack Russel Pokémon, red squirrel Pokémon and so on, a Legendary quartet Pokémon based on the seasons, I wonder what box Legendaries be based on tho, also a third main Legendary based on the whole culture of the land tbh, so many ideas tbh, also Puffins and Minks too, also a Dulahan Pokémon too, the regional dex would mostly be ghost, rock, water, Fairy, grass and such, with few sub type like fire, ice and such, also some dragon and other types too to fill it all out as well, so yeah
@@bradwhite5884 I heard Banshee evolved out of the Irish occupation of what were called "Mourners" or "Wailers," they were women that were paid quite well to Wail and Mourn openly for families while the family itself maintained a stoic facade for the event, So I can see a Banshee Pokemon being a Ghost/Fairy type or Ghost/Normal type.
Ireland is a pretty country! Its literally an island, so they have a good amount to work with!

I personally would love to see a region based in Australia, since it's one of my favorite countries. I also have three other region ideas namely China, Brazil and the Caribbean. I also think that Cinderace and Quaquaval could fit perfectly for a Brazilian inspired region, since they're themed around two of the most popular things in Brazil, soccer and the Rio carnival.
I NEED an Italian region. It always bothers me how Italy is technically very popular in Japan, getting outclassed only by probably the USA and France, but we have so little about it in videogames and media in general. It's like everyone forgets about it (yes, I'm Italian, but still my point stands)
Such a region will need to include San Marino and Vatican City.

I could also imagine Brazil, Greece or a combination of Germany, Austria and Switzerland to be interesting. As a German myself, I would find the latter one interesting. Although, there is a chance that the designers would just take the Alps and leave the rest of Germany out, referencing only the clichés that represent Bavaria, _not_ all of Germany. (Sorry, sensitive topic)
Regions based on Italy, Germany or Switzerland could also be connected to Kalos lore-wise.
I have also thought of a Scandinavian/Nordic region. You could have Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland for the main story and Iceland for post-game content. That could be a chance to bring back the weather system of Gen 5, for snowy paradises in winter (maybe lakes and parts of rivers frozen, with fishing holes in the ice) and idyllic hiking trails in summer (revealing some hidden areas that are blocked by snow in winter).

I kinda want a german region with a lore triankle with Kalos and the scandinavian regions. Something centered around life and death, birth and rebirth and start and ending. Like a massive tree (Yggdrasil) on an island in the North Sea that gave birth to multiple legendaries like Xerneas, Yveltal and Zygarde and also being the center of a pokemon World version of the northern pantheon and the upcoming Ragnarök.
Australia + New Zealand as DLC works for me, as well as Italian peninsula + Sicily & Sardinia as DLC.
I would very much like to see the next gen going Nordic, it would be the most novel and refreshing concept so far

What relevance does the names have to them making a new Pokémon of that type? The localization teams have nothing to do with the actual design or typings of Pokémon.

Louisiana as a region is an idea I am obsessed with. I've actually been working on making my own fan region based around it. I want to make a fan game in RPG Maker and have been steadily working on assets and coming up with lore. There is so much culture and history to dig into, it's been a really fun project. Having grown up here, I've always wanted someone to do Louisiana representation justice, because nearly every time it gets depicted in media it just feels like a really bad caricature, plus the ties it could have with Kalos and Paldea. The thing that really sold me on this idea was theming the gym challenge around the Mardi Gras festival. It would be really cool to see Game Freak's take on it, though I don't know how likely it is that they would do it any time in the near future.

I’ve been thinking that a region based on Canada would be super interesting, as it would be north of Unova, and have ripe opportunity for lore involving the indigenous people of the land, where in Canada there is far more focus on them.

I personally want a reigon based on Maryland, not only because I live there but it's close connection to the Chesapeake bay and extremely diverse landscape could lead to some really interesting locations. Maybe an evil team could be a gang in a city parallel to Baltimore. I imagine that this Maryland reigon would be full of grass and water types!
I've always wanted a region based on New England, since I used to live there. It would be so cool to see the Appalachian Mountains in a new Pokemon light, along with all the urban legends, folklore, and horror novel inspired areas and pokemon. plus with how close to Unova a region like that would be, we'd probably see a lot of characters from there too!
A Vatican City area in the Italy region would be perfect for some new lore surrounding Arceus and his influence outside of the Japanese regions.

So I've been a long time viewer (never subscribed until now because I thought I was already subscribed lol) but I just want to say that your videos have inspired me not only to one day start my own channel based on Pokémon but to create my own Pokémon worlds similar to the buddyverse. This is my way of saying thank you for all you've done and keep up the great work! You're genuinely one of my favorite channels on RUclips.
Going back to Japan would make sense for Gen 10, since it's such a momentous occasion. Maybe they could revive the original Gen 2 concept and just make the ENTIRE country and set it 30 years after the original like in real life!

Bustling cities in lower mainland (like Vancouver), the olympic/resort city of Whistler (good Location for the league), an isolated region/island (Vancouver Island or Haida Gwaii which can include some rainforests/oceanic landscapes), Okanagan Valley (vineyards, valleys), northern British Columbia (some port cities and tundra like geography), and of course the Rockies bordering Alberta!

I think Peru should be the next Pokémon region or at least a future one.

Another thing about Italy is the food. The region could do pasta or pizza just like Galar did curry while Paldea did sandwiches.
What are our most known foods, pasta and pizza, are incredibly costumisable so they really are great for this type of thing. (Plus imagine boiling the water for pasta using the flame on a charmander's tail, or chimchar's/cyndaquil's back. That would be so cute 😊)
The great Lakes idea and the Australian idea both sound great. The idea for it sounds interesting. The Italy one, i dont know. It's possible, especially if they decide to do one like Hisui/past Sinnoh. Showing past Italy/Greece and everything.
However, If im promoting or putting out Ideas. I have one I think would be interesting: The Amazon.
Think about it. Doing a Pokemon variant of South America where it focused mainly on the Amazon. It has a vast amount of animals that could be used as potential pokemon. They could a variant of the Nazca, Peru, where they show the Nazca Lines. That has potential in pokemon. Another, the Mountainous terrain of Chile. That landscape would be pefect for polemon to exist.
Then there is the Jungle terrain that the Amazon is infamous about. But then there is the big point of the Amazon which could set the foundation of the new pokemon game or Gen 10: the Amazon River. The Amazon River is the focal point of the Amazon, filled dangerous animals and legends that could set of a very good story line for a pokemon game.
It's also said that the Amazon River goes by the name of the Great Beast of the Amazon, which could open as a new Legendary Pokemon that uses the Amazon River as it home or the deep depths of the Amazon as it home. Then you could introduce the tribes of the Amazon in the game, since they live in the Amazon.

I want a region based on the west coast of the US and western Canada. Imagine what the starters and the new eeveelutions would be. I would love to see how the huge coniferous forests would be like in the region and new pokémon based on North American cryptids and various pop culture like superheroes (I know that we have Palafin), slasher villains, rubberhose cartoons, video games, etc.
I would like:
- Appalachia-inspired region (It would be near Unova and it would have pokemon inspired by Appalachian history/culture)
- Germany, Austria and Switzerland - Well, I just want to see how they manage to make a region filled with German culture (And the legendary theme could be Industry VS Nature as Germany also experienced industrial moments)
(Also just no N!zi related content or just tone it down to vague militaristic stuff)
- South Africa - C'mon, that wouldn't be bad idea after all.
- Turkiye/Turkey - That would be nice. Interesting lore and ideas for that region. Also kebab mon.
- Mexico - Paldea is here, so it's not surprising to see Mexico as another spanish-speaking-country-inspired region.

5. Brazil (The eastern part of Brazil, which includes cities like Rio De Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Brasilia. A DLC expansion would explore the western part of Brazil including the Amazon Rainforest with a tropical climate and amazing animal species.)

1. Sydney and New South Wales, Australia (I'm from Sydney, so a region based on Sydney would be great. Not the whole of Australia though as it's too big. If they can base the Unova region on just New York City, then they could base a region on just Sydney city and some surrounding places around NSW. A DLC expansion would explore Western NSW too.)
Sorry there are no locations based on Europe and USA in my Top 5 list here, but because they've already done regions based on those locations already (especially Europe which they did a lot on already).
Maybe a South American based region with strong ties to the Mayan and other culturaly significant civilizations from that region. Maybe with a significantly sized area based off the Amazon Rainforest.
Even though these regions would be pretty cool, it’s likely that of these, Italy would be one of the most likely of locales, as there’s already been an emphasis on cold regions with large cultural-defining lakes in the Sinnoh / Hisui region, and along with the mentions of cold climates like Sinjoh, it pushes the possibility back for Scandinavia. This is also especially considering that we had the Crown Tundra of Galar, and Galar revealing a few Nordic-inspired Pokémon such as Perrserker and Runerigus.
Now, I’d mentioned Sinjoh as a region that we’ve already previously heard of, but rarely visited outside of the Gen 4 event to the Sinjoh Ruins. However, there are other regions we know exist, but have simply not been to yet.
Yungoos and Copperajah, for example, were most definitely imported from an India-based region. It is likely Meditite and Medicham also come from this region, as well, so there’s many hints to that down the line. An Indian region DOES exist, we just haven’t been there.
The same can be said for a Chinese region, where it’s likely the Treasures of Ruin originate from, as well as possibly the quartet of Tornadus, Thundurus, Landorus, and Enamorus. I believe we’d visit India or Italy before they’d decide we would go to China, but I bet this Chinese region would be massive, an insane cultural experience to undertake.
Australia would be cool and all, but I think they’d certainly not only mix in elements of the native Australian wilderness, but also of the Aboriginal concept of “Dreamtime,” warping the player to another world to battle a Pokémon who reigns over a conceptual dream space of sorts. It seems similar to Alola in a lot of ways with the Ultra Beasts, so perhaps they could introduce an Australian region as DLC in the future Alolan remake.

I agree with two of the 5 region for generation 10 Pokémon, Australia and Italy would be amazing to see. There are other 3 region I would like to add, India for it's rich history and colourful characters. Just imagine a Pokémon that based on thire iconic bird the Indian peafowl. Egypt will be great also, I would like to see some Egyptian inspired Pokémon in my Pokédex. Another North American region for generation 10 Pokémon is the Southwest region, from Texas to Las Vegas Nevada, that's a lot of Pokémon to catch and see.
I think it'd be really cool to see a Ireland based region one day with a lot of the pokemon being based on Irish, Manx and Scottish folklore, especially since the open bogs valleys and meadows could make for a cool open world environment

One based off the American southwest would be great, Area 51 with old legendaries and paradox pokemon, ice gym in the mountain ranges, a Disneyland parody, the natural rock structures, vast deserts, and Albuquerque area for the villains who are crime lords and the city has many turns you need to take, Hollywood, Las Vegas being the elite 4 area, Alcatraz island/golden gate bridge being a steel gym, ghost gym in a ghost town, a Wild West town, Grand Canyon, they call the main trail Route 66, water gym at Elis island, an electric gym at an oil pump farm and the leader of the gym/ owner of the farm is a parody of rockifeller and US oil. And overall there’s just a lot of areas from the southwest location and history wise to make a region out of.
One of the Great Lakes would make an interesting Pokemon region. I can easily picture cities based off of Green Bay, Chicago, Detroit, and Cleveland making up half of the gym cities. *(Cleveland's would have to be in their version of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.)* With Toronto likely being where the Pokemon League would be housed.
India, Brazil or Australia would be amazing. All 3 have a diverse mix of flora and fauna and their own unique ecosystem. Would love to see a peacock Pokemon from India, a Platypus one from Australia and an Arawana fish Pokemon from Brazil.

I wondered what a Pokemon region based on California would be like. We have LA in the very bottom of California so maybe that can serve as a perfect place to put a city at kinda like Lumiose city. And there are stadiums nearby the airports as well to serve as Pokemon leagues!
I feel like a central America region would be really cool. Rainforests, mountains, volcanoes, etc.
I'd be down to see one based on the American Southwest, but more than anything I just want to see them bring the Pokemon open-world to new heights
I honestly think that the next region should be based on Italy. I mean, we already have Kalos, which is based on France, so it would make SO much sense to have another region based on another part of the Mediterranean.
Italy would be nice. Especially if they wanted to flex their customisation chops for Milan.
India would be interesting in terms of the different terrains and wildlife. Would be cool to see Copperajah in its natural habitat.
Brazil or Venezuela would be cool if we were going to keep the whole stadium idea going. Just don’t make the villains the people in the shanty towns. That would be messed up.

Personally, I would like a Central Europe region, mostly because Hungary only gets acknowledged in media through obscure references that most people won't even notice.
And we have a lot of stuff: a legendary stag, a legendary bird, 3 dogs, a fluffy pig, a fancy cow and a lot of horses! I don't remember every official or Buddymon starter, but I think we don't have a horse starter yet, which I think would be awesome. A grass-ground type horse that doubles as transportation! We also have a lot of thermal baths everywhere, which seems like a great excuse to unnecessarily inflate the water-fire element combination.

But this is more or less what I was talking about, Hungary's representation in media half of the times means leaving a Rubik's Cube on the table. Blink and you miss it.

Maybe a region based on Southeast Asia sounds cool. It’s so diverse and has a mix blend of different cultures with some Chinese and Indian influences.

2. India, because of similar references, like Copperajah & Raichu's Pokédex entry
2.5. Journey to the West region combining China & India.
3. Russia, because Silph Co. has a branch there.
4. Guyana, because that's where Mew was discovered. Xatu's Pokédex entries mention South America.
5. Roman Empire, because Italy, Greece & Egypt probably could fit into 1 region.
With mention to Australia, we did get Arizona in the Colosseum games. A return to large open areas like that would be nice.
I always thought Texas would be a cool one to do as lets face it they did a whole region off of New York City.

Since we do have a UK-inspired region with Galar, if and when they do eventually set the new region in Italy and maybe countries like Greece even, whenever they get around to making the Middle East inspired one, they could connect them together since these countries have historically had some influence in the region. If Genshin Impact managed to make a region loosely inspired by the ME and SEA regions combined, Pokemon can do it too.

My guess is that Game Freak will try to make regions based on the main countries were they sell their games first, since Paldea was gen 9 i think we can leave Italy aside for now, leaving us with Germany, another US based region, South Korea, China, Japan, Australia and Canada.
The Kitakami DLC maybe could be the teaser to a return in Japan (or the Far East), but since Gen 10 could also possibily mean a Gen 5 remake I don't think another US based region is higly possible.

Literally in Paldea and galar, Spain/Brittan and as a vacation in both we got to japan/Asian inspired locations...again.
I'd like to see places that are also non white and let's try Mexico, Isrel, Brazil, Africa those places have such rich and colorful
history and cultures begging to be explored in a pokemon game. The crazy advanced cities in Africa and the large wild lands and mountains
and rich greenery around it as well.
It's always sad to me that people have such a small scope of "here's my list of several pokemon region ideas and they're all light skinned dominated nations."
There's so many different places and ideas and amazing wildlife. Heck we already have most pokemon based on African and middle eastern locations.

I've been designing Pokemon and a map for a region based on TN, KY and WV as a hobby for a few years now. I chose it cause it's my home region and I figured no one else would ever make a region based on it because of how seemingly plain it is.
But I always have trouble deciding how true-to-life I want it. I have a lot of bias because I'm from here, but I can't include everything even if there isn't a game that has to be made. How did you decide on the depth and size of your past regions?
I was thinking it could be neat if they took the land of the great lakes and made it land and make the surrounding land into water.
I would love all of these to become regions one day especially a Nordic based region. Region ideas that i would love to see are Greece, China, Africa,Canada and Mexico.
The great lakes would be awesome! I live in Canada and having a region close to my own would be so nice.
What I would love to see and am surprised that not more people are asking for would be a region based on Africa. Since Sword and Shield introduced the idea of a wild area, and the fact that Legends Arceus and Scarlet and Violet are now fully open world, and lastly, the fact that the savannah biome in the Terrarium exists, makes me REALLY want to see what Gamefreak would do for an African based region. Imagine the pokemon found in the Savannah Biome in the Terrarium, but instead they have regional variants, as well as some new pokemon based on animals we don't have yet, like Cheetahs, mambas, and gazelles.
Two countries I wanted for ages as a Pokémon region is Canada and Mexico, maybe the time will tell.
I really hope Gen 10 is Australia, unless it's gonna be as buggy as gen 9, then I suppose I can wait for the perfect Australia region later on. All your ideas were great! I think above Kanto could be cool tho. Possibly letting Kanto be explorable after the main game would be huge!
An open world Pokémon game based on Australia would have to be as big as Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The country is bigger than the entirety of the U.S. mainland. Throw in Tasmania as DLC territory-there are literal devils there.
Gen 9 wasn't buggy, it had bad performance, those are different things.

Scandinavian region sounds great, if it was based in Iceland then it could be a region with glaciers, ice caves and volcanos

All you ideas are, in my opinion, highly interesting and I'd like to add some of my thoughts/ideas. Firstly, the Scandinavia region holds great dlc potential since there can be a dlc with an Iceland-inspired region and another dlc with a Greenland-inspired region which would be very sick dlc if you know those islands (I can already picture riding on sleighs towed by husky pokémon, or catching some cool water-fire type mon or ice-fire type mon while walking around the Icelandic geysers and thermal baths).
Secondly, I think it would be great if one day they chose an Eastern/Central Eastern European setting for one of their new regions (e.g. Russia, Poland, Czechia, Hungary, Romania, the Caucasus, the Baltics, etc.) since that area is full of interesting cultures and places to borrow ideas from as well as a very interesting and complex history from which to draw inspiration. Eastern and Central Eastern Europe have an interesting fauna too, since animals such as the European bison and Beluga Sturgeon are native to there.
Thirdly, Brazil would be very interesting too, it has an interesting georgaphy too with jungles, praries and mountains. It is incredibly rich in biodiversity with endless options for new pokémons and it is also a great melting pot of cultures, with various native and non native communities living there all with their own cultures which are source for lots of inspiration. Also, the huge Amazon river could be a greag opportunity to introduce a river dolphin pokémon to ride on while traversing the river to maybe reach some mysterious locations deep within the jungle.
My predictions: An Alaskan Based Region with the two main Legendaries based off of creatures from Inuit Mythology.
These are all regions that I really really really want too!!!! Alongside a Dutch/Benelux region, and there are some hints pointing to one!
