I was messing around with the editor and figured something out. For some of the players who look real bulky up top (Trevor Lawrence, Mahomes, etc.). Equip the backplate, remove flak jacket, and change pad height to small. Makes them a lot better.

The flack jacket always tends to be a hit or miss on the bulkiness of the player. Madden 24 flack jacket just looks doofy imo
I’m thankful franchise had such a big focus but for the teams that have Lombardi trophies, they should be in the background of your franchise instead of it just being black background. If and love it just as much as players

I miss the old pregame showing the fans in the parking lot and some players getting off the bus. Also liked the next gen stats stuff
Imagine a intro with players walking off the bus with their headphones, bags and off the field clothing. Those additions could come even to customize your Superstar.

From what I played and what I’ve seen, I’m glad the lighting has improved at least, it hasn’t been this good since 18 in my opinion. The slightly bigger pads are growing on me, but I agree with the fact that some of the player models look clunky, especially with the loose sleeves. Hoping they update that a little bit more
In short: one step forward, two steps back. Which sums up the Madden franchise.
Pretty sad a game that has been put for over 30 years and here we are celebrating face scans being right EA sure has set the bar real “high” for quality 😂

The bodies on the dline and oline for the most part are so much better than last year. But the qb, wr, te, hb, cb, etc could of kept the shoulder pads from last year

Love the new body types much more accurate to what you see like there’s a body below the shoulder pads and everyone doesn’t look too jacked

They need to update Stafford and Aaron Rodgers Those old scans look worse compared to the newer scans
When rodgers wears the helmet they got the old scan looks hideous.
They should update staffords rating to he’s better than a 75 lol

How can you get immersed in a game that doesn’t give you enough content to do so… 🤦🏾♂️ I mean do they even listen to the community 😂
When you have multiple fans in the stands all doing the exact animation at the exact same time, it’d almost be better if they didn’t move at all.
Thing is you don't really see the crowd that clearly unless you go to replay and zoom in. It doesn't really make sense to put the crazy amount of strain on the game to have the crowd be dynamic when you can't even truly make them out that clearly while playing. Outside of cut scenes it just doesn't make sense to have them doing much, it would cause the game to use a lot of resources to run smoothly.
The fact that the presentation and pads looked better last year is mind blowing to me … hopefully EA updates in the future smh

I always felt that the body shapes of Madden from the GameCube, PS2 and Xbox era were a little better.

Bengals roster has needed their face scans for years. Especially Joe Mixon and 50% of our defense. I just don't understand how most players on madden do not have face scans. WILD.

Wish they’d change the SB cut scenes & interactions. That’s one of the biggest day in sports. More work needs to be put in presentation
At this point can NFL just terminate contract with EA and let 2K give us what we want??
Why would they terminate the contract with the only company willing to fork over the loads of money it takes to make an NFL sim game every year? People inside the industry will tell you 2k has no interest in doing NFL sim, it cost too much money. They're already spending billions on NBA and WWE.
@@EricRayweatherthat’s cap! Ronnie 2k has previously stated that he hates that they aren’t able to make a game. Don’t make excuses for them, 2k has more than enough money these days. As long as the exclusive rights are signed off we’re stuck with Madden and it’s minimal efforts.
Ronnie2k doesn't speak for corporate 2k. There's a reason there's no competition for any sports genre anymore, they cost too much to make if you're not going to be the only game on the market. 10 years from now we'll still be here with just Madden and you'll know I'm right. But it's easier to pretend 2k wants to be the savior when in reality they don't care.

If you've never heard be be critical then you haven't watched many videos on my channel. There's plenty and I mean plenty videos on this channel of me being critical, you just choose to ignore those. I would love competition in the market, that's MORE money I can make. Do you think I'd prefer to not have multiple games to cover instead of just one? Selfishly I would benefit in a major way from having more football games to cover. I'd double my income if 2k could also make a game lol. But I'm also not going to pretend 2k wants to come save football gaming either when I know better.
Y'all have no idea how much these games cost to make today, the license alone is a massive amount. These companies aren't going to invest half a bill to a billion just to get started and NOT be the only game. There's a reason 2k stopped making their college, MLB and NHL games a long time ago. It's not profitable enough if you're not the only game. And with Madden being this established, as bad you may think it is, that's still a big risk to go head to head with them when you're talking about the money it takes to do so.
If 2k wanted to make a sim football game so bad, they could've jumped at the opportunity to make an NCAA game. But you notice they didn't do that right?

Definitely liked last year player models better. The pads were more like what you see them wearing in today's NFL

How is it 2023, we're on the verge of photo-real game engines, and EA Sports still refuses or just can't make player models that can emulate STRAIGHT LINES on pants and shoulders of jerseys. Hilariously beyond pathetic.
For the pre game presentation along with the Super Bowl celebration, are you on play now or franchise? My pre game presentations and post Super Bowl celebrations looks way different for some reason. I have the same celebration as like five maddens ago and wondering why it’s different then what’s in your video? I just upgraded to Xbox series S from an Xbox one and was expecting to see a difference on the next gen

I hope NFL 2K comes back soon.. this the best Madden in years but yet the Presentation still sucks and I think the Super Bowl should have more variations of celebrations or at least be updated to make the game feel more important...
2K has an NFL game in the works right now but it's arcade style due to EA having the exclusive rights to "simulation style" NFL games.
Yall keep wishing for 2k this, 2k that like dudes don't be complaining about them too. Lol. It will never trump madden. Brand name got too much of a stronghold atp. Exclusive rights or not
@@kennyhawkins8046 if Madden doesn't meat certain requirements this year the will lose their exclusive license to be the only NFL game ... 2K may have it's complaints but it still plays more true to real life and have solid presentation and if it's anything like NFL 2K5 or All Pro 2K8 than we would be in great hands

@@kennyhawkins8046NFL 2k5 was way better than Madden 2005 for the most part. There were only a few small things that Madden 2005 did better with.

Playing madden on pc for the past 3 years I’m super excited for madden 24
Player models looked way better last year while everyone was complaining bout the pads being to small in my opinion 🤷🏾♂️ in real life no one wears them big pads this aint the 90’s
Are they seriously charging $60+ for a game where players faces (and skin color) aren’t even in the game? That would make sense in the early to mid 2000s but in 2023 where games cost as much as they do, on top of all of the micro- transactions and (what should be) more immersive gameplay, we can’t even get proper faces scans…
I’ll wait until it’s free for PS Plus or $17.95 in the PS store

They only look realistic for the linemen because they wear big pads but Skills players like Diggs wear very small pads.
There are different size type pads in the game
They still to big especially for skill players
Taking out stuff in the pre game to bring it back as a “feature” or “improvement” in a couple years
This doesn't seem like it warrants an upgrade. I'll wait until 2025, maybe the gap from 23-25 will make it worthwhile.
Did they add more created players faces? One of the biggest issues for me is when you go years into franchise mode and everybody sharing the same 20 faces lol
Each year their making things brighter about it with the graphics.

It's really hard to care about graphics when the game internally has been broken since 2013 and has not been fixed
It’s been built on code that’s completely broken. They have no idea how to fix it.
The Player Models look ALOT better this year than in Madden 23 ... the D lineman looked like the McDonald's character Grimace last year ..
Do you know if the faces that are updated will be put in a franchise that has already started?
Not a fan of the pads this year but so far the game play and superstar mood is fun

Hard to justify $70 for a few aesthetic changes like”smaller” pads. Wish the game play allowed you to see through the players point of view like in madden 10. Haven’t seen a version since where I could play from the helmet view of a d lineman or from the safety viewpoint.
They need to add the ability to edit players/coaches faces and appearance like the superstar mode instead of just generic faces.. open up superstar player creator style to all modes.. would be great to chnage hair/facial hair and whatnot for draft classes and players without likeleness yet..

Good honest video Eric ! I agree some of the players look awful ! And the presentation is lazy , but whatever,, As for me who really just plays season one with multiple teams , there’s not much different, the rosters are always a joke till week two or three! I’m really hoping they update the rosters every week and don’t do the junk that they did last year like every five weeks especially with the playoffs! no one has said anything about that yet so maybe we just don’t know you haven’t said that either so I guess you don’t know either ?? Anyway because of player like me who just played seasons,,, I like to take over teams that suck and try to get them to the playoffs!! Time will tell ! But as usual I’ll probably download both demos play both and unless the game is amazing. Wait till week 1-or 2 then probably bye it! Till then I downloaded the new rosters on 23 !!!

They do. I got the Xbox One version of Madden 23, because the uniforms numbers actually looked proper on there. I couldn't stand the way they looked on the Series X version. I'm glad they fixed the numbers for 24, because I'll definitely be getting the Series X version now.

Hey Eric love your content. Is there a way to edit players equipment on other teams in franchise mode. From what I see I can’t edit players on teams I’m playing against like I could in previous Maddens. Any help?

Looking at some of the players with long hair ans the fact they STILL don't have proper long hair options for custom players shows that the current Madden team has no clue how to make long hair.
