The penguin is just so adorable and love the poka dot page with the snowman. I don't like crayons and wax crayons neither, but I think it still looks cute.
I liked the bird. Crayons can be aggravating and satisfying. I love the smell of a new box of crayons. All of your pages looked great to me! Blessings…
@ the ones I have are from Kingart (who are actually having a Black Friday sale of 50%off!) and they are called Gel Stick Mixed Media Watercolor Crayons. They are cool. I like them.
Oh you are so brave! I’m not a fan of wax crayons either but you really did persevere even if it wasn’t enjoyable for you. I really loved the windy sky on the left side! Very pretty!
Ah thank you!! Aren’t they just yucky to use. Yes this is true, at least I persevered. I think if I just went for an abstract sky it would have been more fun… it was the detail that was so frustrating.
The penguin pucture was too cute!! I used regular colored pencils on my wax page being that those are wax or oil .... I really refused ti fight with crayons😂
I love the wax picture of the lil bird and the tip cuz crayons are not the best medium. I saw an artist once say you can also take a scraper and remove the wax but it leaves the pigment still on the page so its not as textured or flaky. This is an even better way. Even if its not your favorite others might like it. I think i like the contrast between the orange and the cooler colors of the background. PS yes i hoard paper and fabric as well as box packaging that's just too pretty to toss. I was also gifted 3 boxes of scrapbook paper from a friend so I can relate wholeheartedly to that. I love multimedia and never thought about adding clay until now. I'll have to try it.
Aw thank you, you are too kind. It was fun to heat and blend at least. Ah glad I’m not the only one 🤣🤣 it’s so fun collecting all those pretty little scraps. I definitely recommend it was so fun adding the clay to it!!
Aww, the snowflake page! Don't be afraid about the bird page. You used materials you never would and challenged yourself! Please try Caran d' Ache Neocolor II! (Not version I) Really, they are a game changer! You can use them as "normal" crayon - but they aren't normal! They are buttery and much softer and the colors are so intense. And, if you are afraid of white marks, you can paint over them with brush and pure water - they are dissolving completely and act as watercolours - still very intense in colour. And you can again paint over them. I had a box of 12, but....ups...I had to buy the 60set.
Aw thank you! You are too kind. Now you are not the only person to say this… I think these need to be my next investment!! They sounds incredible… and the fact that they are water soluble too sounds incredible!
I like the idea of heating the crayons!! 🖍 They are not my favorite medium... The snowballs falling onto the snowman was adorable for polka dots!! ☃️ I thought you were going to do a Christmas tree with Christmas ball ornaments!! 🎄That scrapbook page has got to add a lot of bulk to your book!! 🏋♀️ The little gnomes and glittery parts added the perfect touches!! ✨️
It got rid of that horrible texture at least but didn’t improve the drawing unfortunately 😂 I was so pleased with the polka dot page, definitely my favourite this week! Haha yes it really did! It’s so chunky now! I love it 😍😍😍 thank you so much ☺️
More penguins ❤️ I love that you used Inktense for that page as they are such a fun pencil. It's soooo cute. For wax, I would have just used normal colour pencils, as a cheat as you have a little more control, but you did well considering. I haven't used crayons since 🤔.... What a fun mixed media page 😍
Ah thank you! They are aren’t they! It was definitely a moment of regret, they just don’t do what you want them to do at all. 🖍️ I wish I cheated on that one for sure! 🤣
Love the polka dot page! ❣️⚪️ Awe, sweet penguin. 🐧🥰 I think the Robin is a great page… and in my opinion you didn’t fail… I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy the process nor like the results. Your scrapbook page is great. 😊😃❣️
I relate to that cute, shocked penguin, lol I think your little robin turned out fine, but I agree--crayons are not nice to work with. You got crazy with that scrapbook page! Did the clay crack when you went to close it after it dried?
Haha!! Yep I’ve had a fair few of those moments when reaching the checkout. 😅 Aw thank you, they really are yucky things 🖍️ won’t be using them again any time soon! The clay is great because it is slightly flexible so no cracking in the book 😍

Aw thank you so much!!
They are such a yucky art supply aren’t they! 🖍️
More Christmas fun this week!! Who else has put their Christmas tree up? 😅
I’m putting mine up while I watch your video. 🎉🎉🎉
@@CourageousPainting yay!!!! 🎉 🎄 have fun!!
i really loved the crayon picture so im glad you kept it in your video
I liked the bird. Crayons can be aggravating and satisfying. I love the smell of a new box of crayons. All of your pages looked great to me! Blessings…
Aw thank you!! I definitely don’t have the knack to crayons… maybe with practice, if I didn’t dislike them so much haha. 😅
You always come up with great ideas, heating the wax is interesting. Loved the abstract too. I bet we can all relate to the cute penguin atm 😅
Ah thank you! Haha I know right! We are all poor penguins right now 😂
Hello my lovely, I absolutely love your artwork, especially the textured page.
Aw thank you so much! Isn’t the textured page fun, was definitely more fun than the crayon page 😂
Cassie I really liked the bird. The texture turned out pretty cool looking!
Aw thank you, you are too kind!! ☺️
I don’t think you failed at all. They all turned out so so cute! I like that you made the pages Christmas related. 💜💜
Aw thank you!! I just found that wax page very unsatisfying, crayons suck 😂😂 Thank you, it was so fun getting Christmassy!!
@ yeah wax isn’t my favorite either. I did that page with crayon too. Now I have the gel/wax pastel type things I could have used. Lol
@ gel wax?? Tell me more?

@@PurpleWillowArts ooh they look fun!! I can imagine much nicer than a basic crayon! 🖍️ I’ll defo look into them more. Thanks for the tip!
You did fantastic 👏 as an adult in my 40s I love wax crayons 🖍 think it is a texture thing too 😀
Aw thank you!! Well if you have any tips you’ll have to let me know… not that I’ll be trying them again anytime soon 😅😅
that's such a creative way to use 'polka dots' I never would've thought of that!! 😍 also cassie, please get some neocolors you'll love them 😂
Ah thank you!!
Are these the same ones you picked up on fb the other week? A bit nicer than these GORGEOUS crayons that i used then??! 😂😂
Yay for Christmas!! 🎄 wonderfully done as always.
Ps: I’m so excited to start your art advent book this week!!!
Happy December! So pleased you are enjoying the book so far. Thank you!

I LOVE the scrap book page. Adding clay is such an interesting idea. I want to touch it. 😂
Ah thank you!! Haha it is so fun to touch, 😂definitely recommend for some sensory fun.
Another awesome video 😊❤
Aw thank you ☺️☺️

Haha I wish I refused the crayons too 🤣🤣
Hi Cassie!
I love the word 'perrywinkle' for the same reason as you 👀 such a unique word 😄btw i love the capybara Lady sticker, she's so cute! 😄
Ahh isn’t it fantastic!! 😍
Aw thank you, she’s definitely a joy to add to the collection. ☺️☺️☺️
