Moliminous again, when are you going to do an everything wrong with the seed episode which is about AppleJack and Applebloom. You have huge fans of these characters too. So not sure why you would skip over it with two other episodes. Makes no sense...
Ember is not incompetent. Only dragon lord knows those things about hatching and her father didn't tell her a thing. Also, she lives near a vulcano so how the hell she is supposed to know that shaking means cold?
Ves Why wouldn’t her father tell her those things? She’s the new Dragon Lord, that information would be extremely helpful in situations like these. And to presume he didn’t is an assumption on your end.
Because it took spike a few seconds to test the heat. She also is supposed to know these things as dragon Lord like ya said. But she doesn't. Shes adorable, but incompetent
Hatching eggs, 90% of the time the problem is the heat, so I am more concerned that flutershy "the vet" never check this. Also if eggs hatch in groups how this too are "siblings" being so different, and most likely of different age.
Because they are born from the same parents but at differents periods of time? like several years apart? You don't need to be born in the same time to be brother and sister.
Like always Moliminous, another adorable thumbnail. and even though "Sweet and Smoky" wasn't that great it did have some humorous and adorable moments especially with Fluttershy and Ember.
My theory is that the staff are trying to introduce the theme of "reformation" throughout the episodes. I originally thought that this episode was a dud and while I still believe it was, I think I understand why the writers chose to do something like this for the last season instead of giving something else their A-game.
See, Garbel's the same as Diamond Tiara. Really comparing him to Tirek, Cozy Glow, Chrysalis, Grogar, Storm King, and Sombra is honestly unfair. Garble's not a villain, he's just a bully. Bullies can be reformed. Although we wouldn't have so many good characters without the reformation of Starlight, Discord, Tempest, and Sunset.
The only good redemptions were Sunset and Discord. They both did messy stuff, got rightfully punished, and had a point in time where they were watched with a strong lense of "We don't trust you. One wrong move and you're stone/ your ass is getting kicked.". In Discord's case he did a jerk move, and immediately got hit with karma. He was given one last chance, which truly melted his heart. With stigeon/pony of shadows I honestly see that as just a person being manipulated in a moment of weakness. Also a moment of "the "Heroes" created the monster" The worst "Redemption" was starlight. She got absolutely no consequences for her actions, had the worst reasonings for her actions, and her back story just makes her look pathetic. All while potentially doing the most damage out of the villains. While she did get better, she did have those moments where she didn't learn jack. Though that was an illness of many characters in season 8.
@UCGxczVAZTYC1_r9rW_Zz8qg Well you're pretty rude. Don't assume that you know me. If I lost a friend I wouldn't make innocent people suffer. The stuff she did was awful. She took away the talent and potential of innocent people and forced them into an awful regime. All over the fact that her friend left to do something better with his life. Keep in mind sunburst didn't break things off with her, he just moved. She could have easily went to visit. Just because she assumed the worse, she halted the progress of many people's lives. Who knows what they could have done with their lives if she didn't interfere. Doesn't help that she kidnapped national heroes. After they stopped her cruel operation, she did even worse. She literally plotted to go back in time and ruin the friendship of good people, which is extremely out of line. She was also about to rip the spell even after seeing that it'd cause the apocalypse. That's extremely selfish and insane. She potentially ended millions if not trillions of lives all over the fact a friend left to expanded his horizons. She couldn't move on with her life so she drug others down with her. While sunset was awful, she at least got proper comeuppance and learned from her actions. Starlight literally got no punishment and proceeded to abuse her magic afterwards. Doesn't help that she also sold Trixie's wagon. Something she had no right to sell, and something that Trixie held extremely close to her heart.
Yeah making smolder and gargle brother and sister was dumb and served nothing to the characters. I mean what’s next in the end of the season we’re going to find out that grogare is celestia and Luna’s dad? And this is the last season, you missed your chance to make this generic bully have any character development throughout the series. I imagine dragons need to train their bodies to take the pressure of the lava when they get physically bigger and stronger, something spike has never done. Yeah ember should’ve already figured out the eggs were cold from the beginning, and if they needed to keep them warm why didn’t she also do it herself. And another and last(god hoping) pointless spike episode. Sorry if this felt like a long rant but I had a lot of time to absorb this whole episode.

I'd love to see him get to be the hero of an episode and save the day on his own free will, without being told what to do. But the problem is that the writers either don't know what to do with him, or are afraid to expand apon his character, as like you said alot of his episodes are fairly pointless... Birthday Fruitecake it’s all good. No hard feelings. Everyone ships differently for this show. I just go by the physical proof shown between AJ and RD. Rarity just dresses up AJ thinking it’s better for her when she clearly only cares about fashion. Something certain shippers can’t seem to understand. And RD with Fluttershy is not a good relationship at all. They act more like friends and siblings then anything else. RD shows only a normal relationship anyone has with a good friend but not someone she’s interested in. She’s shown so much interest towards AJ I can’t make it up. But anyways, one day a lot more people will see the proof within the episodes...
Well, time for some Bonus Sins: If dragons can swim in lava, and Spike had it up his nose, and even swallowed some, lava balls shouldn't hurt him much. At worst that's like getting pelted with water from a hot tub, which isn't great, but it isn't life threatening. Also, Smolder really thought Spike would be a good fit to cheer up Garble? Really? Fluttershy proved to be better for that task. Fluttershy! While we're on the subject, Spike did a better job than Fluttershy at something she should be best suited for. Minus one sin for her confidence in this episode though. She really has come a long way since Season 1.

Do they not have realize that in the future spike basically looks like he’s on steroids so the fact the red dragon is making fun of him is like a ant making fun of a mountain
6:32 Yeah, given how skittish and easy it is to take there main capital city I don’t see pony’s taking the dragon lands in a war ever. Also at this point I’m convinced that Celestia’spower over the sun is simply cosmetic. Yes she can raise the sun but she can’t actually use it offensively in any way like Fire solar flares or the like. Otherwise her win/loss record wouldn’t be as abysmal as it is.
Actualy reforming Garble could have been a great episode. Instead of having Garble be this misunderstood outcast of society make him actualy acsepted here (so basicly like drahon Gaston, ya know like he was supost to be). Dear writters not every villain needs a sad backstory, not every villain needa to be bad because someone was mean to them, some people simply are just horible but not beyond repair (and some are but that's beyond the point). Yes you can make a villain sympathetic and enjoyable to watch but guess what- that doesn't require some petty sad backstory that you pulled up your ass in last minute. For fucks sake look at svtfoe villains (main 4 villains). Just by looking at them you get comepletly different vibes and by getting to know them you like them even more because each one of them is unique and has their own personality, motives and backstory (Toffie more or less but you get the point). While you get the different vibes by looking at mlp villains the more you get to know them the more it feels like you are chewing the same steak again. But back to Garble. Yes, characters should have layers but you don't just put strawbery jam on mayo. Garble is not a kind of character that needs a sad backstory to change, if he was why did you need Smolder for his redemption arc. Instead of giving Garble this sensetive side, make him a jerk that Smolder admired. Instead of having plot B and plot A that is trying to convince me that Garble was a good person all along spend all that time showing how Smolders has changed (or rather her views on ponies and sencetivity). You could have a sister that once realy admired him now realy look down to him whitch raises a questin what he values more? How his sister sees him or how some dumb meat heads see him. Show us that he has a sencetive side throw his actions don't just tell me and then prove it by showing me so painful to watch that I have to put lemon juice into my eyes. What they show us does not make Garble a sencetive or compasionate person. It's a interest/trole that you could have slaped on any other masculine character for rhe sake of cheap laughs. As I said make him change because Smolder shows him that there is a better way to act and that alot of stuf that he was told was wrong. And for the love of god don't make the rest of the dragons love him because he has this sencetive side. It leaves a much stronger impact and is far more realistic. You can not tell me that the dragons that were this way their whole life changed their entire ideology in a mattee of seconds. Have only few of them acept that he has a sencetive side and have him trying to befriend them. It would send a better mesage to kids and adults. That it isn't wrong be critical of society and the way others around you act. By making everyone acsept him they are killing the whole mesage that they are trying to send. If just a few dragons acsepted it it wold show how it's better to be hated than silenced and by having him inspire someone would just be the icing on the cake. Like alot of newer episode this one has a good idea behind it, just the concept has alot of potential but like everytime these writter always somehow manage to fuck it up. Also season 9 should be called the season of pointless fanservice.
About the whole "dragons accepting him for his side" thing, blame Ember. She's practically forcing them to change. And honestly it just bothers me. In fact she practically forced Smolder to go to the friendship school(yeah it turned out ok in the end but the fact still remains that tainted it, Ember is forcing the dragons to change and that's not good).
how about: (x) One week? I'm surprised Twilight was willing to let Smolder off for a day. Even that doesn't sound right. (Well, at least she sounded taken aback at the mention of a full week.) (x) Hearing "sweet guy" and "dragon" in the same sentence, or at least referencing someone other than Spike. That's not to mention the simple fact that it feels like we're going full Spike x Smolder now. God, I can't keep up with all these ships. (x) Um, Flutters, what happened to your fear of *adult* dragons? There are probably some big-arse dragons around. The mere mention of baby dragons overrides all that? I'm not buying this at all. (-) (to Smolder) "Pony school has made you soft." In fact, it has, GarGar. I think I could take a point off for that. Good call. (x) Red velvet isn't guaranteed to brighten anybody's spirits (especially to people and ponies who think it sucks). (x) Um, they may not be full grown dragons, but they're still adolescents. I would expect just a little bit of fear on Fluttershy's part. I mean, there are some folks around who could "gobble a pony in just one bite," for sure. (x) Scolding a bunch of adolescent dragons. I mean, they are just adolescents, right? You actually expect them to care? (x) Piggybacking the rock bongo sound complaint, there's no way a pony could play those. It would barely make a sound. (x) I wasn't gonna mention it till later, but I can't avoid it any longer... there are a *LOT* of eggs. One gets the impression that a lot of these baby dragons, wyrmlings, whatever aren't going survive that all that long, for whatever reason (considering the number of surviving adults and on-their-ways). That's pretty dark for a kids show. (x) The moral of the story is... laughing at other people's hobbies/interests is okay so long as it suits a good purpose? Or something along those lines? Ugh. Whatever. It looks pretty ugly no matter what way I try to state it. PENALTY: Drag On Dragoon, We Hardly Know Ye (and with good reason)
I think why Fluttershy is not afraid of the older dragons much due to development but also that she knows they literally cannot do anything to harm her since Ember forbade dragons from attacking ponies. Ember practically forced them to not try to harm ponies there anymore.
@@nightshroud9671 "but also that she knows they literally cannot do anything to harm her since Ember forbade dragons from attacking ponies." I see that too. Not many viewers realize this fact. Dragon lord Ember made that 'dragons make peace with ponies' commandment because of Spike competing in the gauntlet and befriending her for the ponies sake, and her agreeing to the peace treaty Spike made for the ponies's sake. Spike basically gave the ponies total power and immunity over the whole dragon race.

Sin 3, emphasis on BY YOURSELF
Spike is one of those characters that CANNOT take a hint
5:11 dragons are fire breathing creatures, if the fire that come out of their mouths don't burn their internal organs, i don't think they have much to fear from lava.
Too big rooms? Nah! No way! Its just because they need to fit the furniture into the Playset!
6:38, dragons make fun of the ponies, celestia entered the battle, the sun 9,932 f, lava 2000 f
4:47 to 5:13 Maybe if this was live action then that logic would make sense but this is animated lava and physics and nature on this show are not what it seems, also, magic *snorts*
Yah I'm sad to say I was laughing along with the dragobs. Bbblleeechhhhh. That poetry just... well i thought it was really strange. Witch can be good. But not this time.i was worried that the eggs would bske, the shell are not necessarily as strong as the dragobs inside
Do they not have realize that in the future spike basically looks like he’s on steroids so the fact the red dragon is making fun of him is like a ant making fun of a mountain
Yeah i hate this episode, but most of the remarks about this episdoe are rather true. just stupid choice after stupid choice.
These creatures are morons
2:54 Kinky
Lava isn't even like jello it's literally molten rock
6:32
Yeah, given how skittish and easy it is to take there main capital city I don’t see pony’s taking the dragon lands in a war ever.
Also at this point I’m convinced that Celestia’spower over the sun is simply cosmetic. Yes she can raise the sun but she can’t actually use it offensively in any way like Fire solar flares or the like. Otherwise her win/loss record wouldn’t be as abysmal as it is.
She might if she wasn't so nice. Remember when Luna went bad. She used the moon to create a permanent eclipse.
7:42 the hatching grounds are on the mountain
how about:
(x) One week? I'm surprised Twilight was willing to let Smolder off for a day. Even that doesn't sound right. (Well, at least she sounded taken aback at the mention of a full week.)
(x) Hearing "sweet guy" and "dragon" in the same sentence, or at least referencing someone other than Spike.
@@nightshroud9671 "but also that she knows they literally cannot do anything to harm her since Ember forbade dragons from attacking ponies."
I see that too.
Yeah i saw it coming
Has anyone ever got a shirt from liking one of the videos? Kappa
These filler episodes are killing me. Gimmie action

Enjoyable.
I only clicked on this video to see Moliminous's reaction on the 'Appledash' ship
Edit: nvm
Aren't those students full grown adults? Why do they need to be escorted by a teacher and another child?
Actually, the way they are treated throughout the show, I doubt they are adults.
You better not say anything bad about spikey wikey or Spike I know he's not a baby dragon he's a teenage dragon but don't you dare say anything bad about Spike or Fluttershy or any of the other ponies like Applejack Rainbow Dash Rarity and and Twilight Sparkle don't you dare
Smolder and Garble are related
I didn't expect this before "Sweet and Smoky" came out.
