Tirek did not drain all their magic if he did they would know it was him so he just drain most of it and it was make look like it was the food that made them act like that it was part of their plan.

1 for the show forgetting Cutie Marks are supposed to vanish when Tirek drains a pony's magic, though I guess they chose to retcon it so it was less obvious to everypony that it was indeed Tirek.
Another for the fact that guard NEVER informed the Princesses that he'd seen not only Cozy Glow, but Tirek too.
Another for the ponies not correcting Disguised Cheese Legs about unicorns being the most powerful ponies when they are literally preparing a Celebration for the two Alicorns who control the Sun and Moon.
And the other sin for the fact Discord somehow never noticed the magical imbalances Tirek was causing as he drained all those ponies.
For the first one, I think he wasn't draining them all the way, that's why their cutie marks didn't vanish. That way it wasn't so obvious who was doing it. Your last point is explained in episode 24.

They still have their Marks even after being completely drained and the reveal in that episode doesn't change the fact they were in Canterlot when they weren't supposed to be so he would've taken notice Upon sensing the magical imbalances
The reveal kind of explains it though. It can be surmised that Discord probably did know they were there and didn't do anything deliberately.

Only now I see this comment... That was exactly what I thought. They're just leave them dying from starvation (that can actually explain why the Tartarus looks so empty, OK, it's probably not the case...) or it works with some sort of magic?

OK, I can buy why they did not recognize Cozy, but Tirek literally stole the royal guard's magic when he could SEE what happened and he did not tell about anyone. Why? They're criminals they should have been locked up! Did he lost his memories or something? I don't think Tirek capable doing that.
I also had other questions but they are already touched in the video (Why don't someone guards the book and why do they make it so obvious where is it?).
Why was that simple to destroy the lock?
I love this episode but this are things that bothered me a bit.

The whole Festival Of The Two Sisters bit was pretty heartwarming but sadly it didn't make up for the "damage" the Summer Sun Celebration caused.
One of the main factors of Luna snapping was due to the fact her night wasn't appreciated as much as Celestia's day.
And yet after Luna/NMM got sent to the moon, Celestia allowed a freaking celebration where the SUN/DAY is celebrated over the moon/night. The freaking ponies were staying up at night but completely disregarding it as they are focused on Celestia raising the sun. All of this added so much salt to Luna's wounds.
Even though it celebrates Luna's return now, it still shows preference of DAY over night.
The Two Sisters' festival may celebrate both sisters equally but it doesn't make up the 1000 years of how the day was celebrated over night.
Honestly Luna should have gotten like a Winter Moon Festival or something. Like so her night is truly celebrated as Celestia's day. But sadly instead of getting episodes of Luna getting to shine equally(or maybe more) than Celestia, we get episodes like Horse Play that hammers in that Luna is still not appreciated equally as Celestia was.
Yes, Luna is now getting some attention but it still felt like its not much as Celestia is getting. It still felt like she's still in Celestia's shadow.

That sounds more than a poor excuse for Discord to do nothing.
You know? That is my bigger problem with overpowered characters. They have too much power that they can literally do anything, but they rarely do anything for the plot. That is literally my problem with Beerus and Whis from Dragon Ball. They can do anything and yet they never bother to help to deal with the main villain of the story. The same problem with the Sentry in Marvel comic, he literally has the power of a million exploding suns, so he could deal with Thanos, the Celestials and pretty much anything, but nope! The Avengers has to do all the work for him because the writers are fucking lazy to come up with an idea for him to do something.
And that is my problem with them, they are powerful but they rarely play any role in the story when they make an appearance. They just stay there and do nothing to help which bring the question of what is the point of their existences? If a character is created they need to play a role in the story not just for them to be there and do nothing. Which is the problem with Beerus, Discord, and the Sentry. They were created but they never bother to help the main heroes to deal with the threat, and the writers always come up with a very lame reason for that.
And I'm sure some idiot out there is going to give me the lame excuse of *if they help, it will eliminate any tension of the story* but if that is the case? Then what is the point of their existence, so it doesn't change the fact that their existences are pointless. Create a character with a purpose, not for the sake to create them. So Beerus is pointless, Discord's reformation was pointless, and the Sentry is also pointless.
In the end, I don't hate them, but I don't like them either.
You're right, I've grown to like Discord but the truth is he really wasn't a good idea for a character. All powerful characters are often an excuse for lazy writing when they're around and when they're not around you often wonder why (where was Discord during the events of the MLP movie for example)? Incidentally, Q, the Star Trek character that Discord was based on, had been getting that criticism for years before FIM was conceived.

And the fact it messes up the threats of the villains in question due to they could easily get stopped if said OP reality-warper(like Discord) or bs character like a Destroyer God(such as Beerus) decides to intervene.
Like if the villain does win, their victory is messed up due to someone that can instantly beat them decided to not be involved.

Unlike Discord, the sisters are not OP reality-warpers. It won't destroy the plot if the Royal Sisters get to fight alongside the Mane 6 to save the day.
Luna needs some Wins under her belt due to she lost a 1000 years due to the NMM fiasco. Like since her return, she just kept getting sidelined or get taken out instead of getting to TRULY redeem herself by saving the day directly a few times or so.

You missed one no two sins. One when did Tirek start caring about birds? And two when tirek drained the magic from a few earth ponies, why didn't their cutie marks disappear like the last time Tirek tried to take over Equestria?

Ailconrs are Masterrace. Not those Unicorns that cant even fly...
There are only five Alicorns in Equestria, so calling them the masterrace wouldn't really matter much. So as much as I hate to say this since I'm a huge fan of the Pegasi, Unicorns would be the "masterrace". Although I say that lightly because very few Unicorns have the actual magic skill that allows them to fly and mass teleport and other crazy feats.

I think it has more to do with the Fact that most Unicorns just don't have the Ambition and the Will to really study hard and learn big Spells.

They are perfectly capable of getting from Point A to Point B at their normal Walkingspeed.
@@johannesseyfried7933It does seem like that is the current case. I was just saying that according to the beginning of the show. Over the years they have cared less and less about keeping Unicorns as even as possible with the other ponies. At this point they don't even try to nerf them.
But yes, the magic ability of Unicorns does have the do with the fact that some care about magic and some don't. I just still feel like some are just naturally better at it than others (just like Pegasi and Flight).

One of the massive things that pisses me off still about Cozy Glow as a villain is the fact that she just *popped* out of nowhere - she was never foreshadowed, aside from Babs Seed we had never seen any other evil fillies or her parents - they could have had an "evil runs in the family" thing going, but no.
She is imo an easily pointless character who had no reason to exist...

To be honest, I'm surprised it took the show thus long to do the whole racial war thing. Obviously they have touched on the fact that it was in the past, but it hasn't been shown in modern Equestria yet. My theory is that the pony races have always been a bit indifferent about each other but they don't want to show it.

From what I can gather up for the guards being bumbling, incompetent cannon fodder for the whole 9 seasons, they're just made to look bad and incompetent so that all the villains can be more intimidating (in TV-Y standards at least) and for the Mane 6 and the Royal Sisters to look extremely good. If they were shown as competent and able to do their jobs properly, those villains would be either sent back to Tartarus or dead - and since it's a TV-Y show, the latter is already out of the question.
@@JJiMedia They shouldn't have to look like useless idiots to make the main cast look better; in fact, having competent guards that still can be taken down makes the villains and heroes look better
@@KelShu That's true, but since it's Hasbro pulling the strings, they do what they seem to be best at: Going for the easiest, known approach. I also think the guards could do better than just be armored doormats, but since it's been 9 Seasons now, why do any changes? Making them competent in the last season would make them go "out of character".
Hey, do as the video says and for Celestia's sake, use CLEAN episode footage when making a Everything Wrong With video, none of that taped off Discovery Family, Treehouse TV, Teletoon, etc. A proper EWWMLP video requires good to high quality footage and I can't stress this enough.

The writers wanted a Twist Child-Villain, but they didn't think of all the Implications that would come:
How can a mere Child be so cunning and evil, yet so stupid?
Who were her Parents? What do they think about their Daughter, after she almost doomed the World?
Was it really a good Idea to imprison a Child in Tartarus? Right next to her Partner in Crime?!?
How did she even get in Contact with Tirek?

That's what I was thinking. In a world where the pony races have literal physical advantages and disadvantages from each other, you'd think that they would be a bit irritated at each other.

@@KelShu Exactly. It's like they set up the whole concept of there being three pony races with special abilities, bet then never really used it. There is so much potential and I am hype for whatever comes next.
@@KelShu I think they touched this racial tension with the lore of Hearths Warming, with the only unifying factor being that despite their differences, they're still ponies. Having a season plot revolving aroung racial tension between ponies sounds kinda dark and a lot like a prequel to Fallout Equestria.
@@JJiMedia It was touched on but that was all the way back in season 2 and I feel that if all it takes is a couple of baseless rumors to make ponies racist with each other again after a thousand years then it's too big of a issue to just have addressed and resolved in only two episodes
