It was never explained is HOW CG came to equate friendship with power. 2. during her big exposition of her take over the world plot, CG still didn't give a reason for WHY she's doing all of THIS. Also that ending... Is she gonna be another Starlight Glimmer/Sunset Shimmer?
Amazonianarya I’m pretty sure she did all this cause she wanted to be in charge of the school which would apparently make her the empress of friendship which would apparently let her have the most friends. So yeah, she kinda did way too much just for a rather small goal. The only reason she wanted to drain all the magic was so the Main 6 leave the school and she would be in charge. In short: Drain all magic in the land -> Become head of a school so she can have many friends.
Here's the thing about her becoming the next Sunset/Starlight. Both of those two are literal foils to Twilight and were offered a hand in friendship. Note that Sunset is in her late teens/Early twenties and Starlight is probably around 25. Here, we have a literal child believing that friendship is power and endorsed by a twisted education official whilst both had very good points about school management and the series treating friends like a bottlecap collection. Cozy gets no chance of a redemption despite being a CHILD and, as the icing on the cake, where are her parents?
You missed one. Did they just throw the mastermind behind almost removing magic from Equestria, into a cage right next to a just as intelligent, manipulative creature that too almost took over Equestria? That's like me throwing the top 5 smartest inmates in one jail cell together.
We all knew she was evil day one We all waited for the reveal We thought she was with Chrystalis Or with Neighsay We were wrong SHE WAS FREAKING PENPALS WITH A DEMON IN TARTARUS!!!!!!! BEST plot twist EVER!!
1:45 the one hard for twilight was the fake wings, in fact they said that the walking on clouds spell was easier, that's why she choosed it over the fake wings
Equestria's law system and its logic: Trixie: being a little mean and braggart. Punishment? Forced into exile. Later she took over an entire town with the use of forbidden magic. Punishment? Karma Houdini. Starlight Glimmer: Brainwashed an entire village, attempted at least one murder, then traveled back in time to change the history of the world. Punishment for all of this? Becoming Twilight Sparkle's apprentice (arguably that is a decent punishment from a certain point of view LOL). Sunset Shimmer (EcG): Stole Twilight's crown, then brainwashed an entire college to become her zombie army. Punishment? Befriending the other Mane 6 AND becoming Twilight Sparkle's apprentice. Twilight Sparkle (EcG): Stole all magic from Equestria and used it to try to destroy both worlds. Punishment? Transfering school ans befriending the other Mane 6. Cozy Glow: Stole all magic from Equestria, locked up some ponies, wanted to take over the country. Punishment? *Life sentence* in Tartarus. And she's a filly! A freaking filly! She would have gotten away with it, but... too bad she was racist towards non-ponies... And that was modern liberal and social justice warriors' politics in its entirety, as it is represented in MLP: FiM.
I think you really hit the nail on the head here. I've realized all along that the Friendship six were a political statement about diversity but hadn't thought about Cozy Glow's prejudice against non ponies being the reason she was was locked up in Tartarus. Yes, in the mind of an SJW that would warrant a tour in Tartarus, even despite the fact that she's a child.
ahah twilight actually said the spell that gave rarity wings was extremely difficult, she said the spell to walk on clouds was easier to do on the rest of them. but youre still spitting facts in this video tho:)))
only about a dozen more, but worth a thought: (x) yes, question Starlight's ability to spellcast before trying or checking yourself, Twilight. you're such a great friend. (x) wait, Cozy Glow catalogued the magical artifacts, right? i don't suppose one of those might be responsible for the present problem? (okay, so it isn't, but at the time, it seemed like a logical deduction. why does she have access anyway? ...Celestia!!!) (x) how is raising the moon difficult already? you tried? it's nowhere near night yet, Luna. (x) Starswirl's predictions are remarkably precise. he really is good... almost too good.... (x) yes, it's okay to count on your friends. it's not okay to forcibly volunteer them. why not ask? i'm sure they'll say, "yes." (x) actually, the entirety of Equestria IS losing its magic. the students SHOULD be sent home. it's a national, frickin' emergency! (x) because it's not quite prison--or hell--until the six ponies you hate the most are there to share it with you. (x) um, when Counselor Neighsay swore to alert Celestia and Luna, did nopony think to make sure he kept his word? yeah. lucky he didn't just do a runner. almost score one more for Cozy Glow there. (x) hey, if the magic is supposed to be completely drained by sunset, but there's no magic to complete the sunset by the time it's supposed to come around, can that qualify as a paradox so that magic can never completely be drained? ...bugger. i thought that one would work.... (x) Counselor Neighsay may have made good, but as soon as he saw the magic was back he skedaddled pretty quick, didn't he? (x) so what if it's been only one semester? the CMC got honorary degrees and can come back as tutors, right? what's up with that? i'm starting to think the whole curriculum is arbitrary.
Exactly! Their daughter has been up to some creepy stuff lately! Or, they're in on her plan and this is all apart of something bigger! What do you think?
Yeah, Tirek was the one who gave her the little "push" she needed! Heck, they practically worked TOGETHER on this plan! That's like putting a robber and a murderer in the same house that has a family of five people!
Yeah uh... here's a sin for the finale: How could the whole plot revolve around unicorn magic being lost on the first day, creature magic on the second, and artifact magic on the third, specifically mentioning losing specific magics at sunset... when Celestia and Luna are the ones who control the sun and moon and therefore are in control of the days? Luna even menioned she had trouble moving the moon near the beginning, and it looked like Luna and Celestia lost their magic by the third day... so how did that last sunset happen? Celestia couldn't lower the sun...
Also how does Chancellor Neysay still have his magic, when everyone else doesn't have magic, so he shouldn't have been able to lock the young 6, in chains to begin with.
The spell to make wings was difficult, Twilight said the cloud walking spell was much easier which is why only Rarity got magical butterfly wings way back when.
Trapping a Filly in Tartarus?? I mean they should've trapped Chrysalis... Why didn't they lock Chrysalis in Tartarus before she escaped??? I mean, in the season 6 finale The Main Six was there, Starlight, Discord, Trixie, Luna and Celestia, Cadence, Shining Armor, Flurry Heart, Thorax and the rest of the reformed changelings were there, they could've captured Chrysalis easily... but I guess not...
What was up about that commentary on wanting the Student Six to be killed off? I mean it's fine they aren't your cup of tea, but they haven't done anything to warrant such a comment.
One thing I have learnt about our fellow Yaks is that they LOVE to smash things, WHY didn't they get the YAK to kick a hole in the door? Even the kids are meant to have great strength.
Huh, I figured Neighsay's actions were definitely unlawfully overstepping his authority, but I hadn't considered they might actually count as treason. So, yeah, he can apologize all he wants, but he still deserves to be sacked, at the least.
I think that unicorn magic is more of a consentrated magic. They probably have their magic closer to the surface than pegasai and Earth ponies do. That is why theirs is gone first.
@@luciawilliamson-waggoner3369 Pegasai do have magic as they are the only species that can walk on and manipulate clouds. Earth ponies have a connection to the earth and have more physical strength which is enhanced by their earthbound magic, I doubt that the Rock sisters being able to pulverize rock is not magic enhanced strength, and how all farming ponies are earth ponies (with very few exceptions) as they are the ones who have a connection to plants and the earth. As for Pinkie sense, that is neither here nor there as it's just something that Pinkie has for plot convenience purposes. If you remember, in the episode where Tirek absorbed the magic from all ponies, he even took the magic from earth ponies and the earth was dying. If they didn't have any magic, they would have been fine and not been weakened by him taking the magic from them.
@@luciawilliamson-waggoner3369 I had to go back in the episode to make sure but you are correct, but that doesn't mean that they don't have ANY magic. It is stated many times that all ponies have at least some form of magic. Friendship is one of them. Cloud manipulation may be a type of magic, but we will never know as the show honestly hasn't really gone into that information. We can guess and we can assume but in the end, we are all wrong until the show states otherwise.
I don't understand the point of the 11th sin if in the next shot it was basically explained by Celestia that on the second day, creatures lose their magic abilities, flight included.Honest question:do you guys make the sins along the dialogue or do you first watch the episode?Because I feel that the latter would make more sense...

So, could someone explain and introduce the Tar Tarus caretaker? Seriously, they bring the mane six to Tartarus, there is a guard chicken, but the caretaker to rule over all of it. I was also a bit underwhelmed by the sale of Tartarus real estate. I mean, we could have had Tar Torus the minotaur watching over Tartarus, and a full blown 'no' from someone in charge.
I feel like Cozy Glow kinda had it wrong too. I mean...the two hands down most powerful characters in this series are Starlight Glimmer and Discord. And neither of their powers rely on friendship magic.
Big bonus sin that's so massive it's a wonder it was missed in this vid: The Student Six may have had a fear test with the Tree of Harmony, but that should not mean they are alternate candidates with ties to the elements. In fact, I don't ever recall them each displaying a particular virtue above and beyond the vast majority of the students, that corresponds to a particular element. Heck, all but one of them aren't even ponies. Just saying. Extra bonus sin: Yeah, that EEA handbook is still massive, and it's not recommended one should hold it up by its pages, which I might add, take up enough space that the interior of the book is bigger than a pony's hoof.
Thank you! It's WAY too early for the student six to be the next"elements" I don't think I even WANT them to! We've known them for ONE season so far, while we've known the Mane Six for EIGHT seasons so far!
5:00 - That bothered me too. NOBODY questioned this child's claim that the Head Mare had left her in charge of the whole school??? 5:48 - And Pinkie just continues to stare. 9:27 - Can't Yona just smash the door open? 10:55 - Twilight is now an Alicorn which suggests that she is now immortal, or at least *VERY* long lived!
Lucia Williamson-Waggoner but wouldn’t it still have to make sense in the context of the show? She essentially did something that created the entire plot of Friendship University for no reason.
Lucia Williamson-Waggoner Well true, but many have pointed out how Cozy just suddenly shows up right after Rarity asked how Flim and Flam got their hands on Twilight’s book. Also, it had to have been someone from the school since they somehow had access to the book. It obviously couldn’t have been any of the Mane 6, Student 6, Spike, or Starlight. So the only person left is Cozy
Lucia Williamson-Waggoner oh I get what you mean now. So my only question for you now is: Do you believe Cozy was the one who gave Flim and Flam Twilight’s curriculum? If not, then who did?
1:49 The cloud walking is not a difficult spell. Twilight even stated as such it waa easuer than the wax wing spell she casted on Rarity in "Sonic Rainboom". It later implied to be a very common spell unicorns use to visit Cloud based cities. How else did you think those unicorns and others could visit such places safely? Also Starlight had already ultized this back in "Cutie Remark". It is nothing new nor high level.
When you really look at it Cozy Glow's as effective as King Sombra's: King Sombra's plan may not be as grand as her's, but both would have put the entire land of Equestria in imbalance & and carefully thought-out backup plans that will actually worked allowing them to fulfill their goals! However they both failed by the influence & involvement of Non-Pony creatures that became wildcards in their allies favor, thorting their plans and eventually backfiring at them!

Here, we have a literal child believing that friendship is power and endorsed by a twisted education official whilst both had very good points about school management and the series treating friends like a bottlecap collection.
Cozy gets no chance of a redemption despite being a CHILD and, as the icing on the cake, where are her parents?
Nope, she's a shitty villain with no character to be a means to an end to the MOST shittiest season(was) in the entire show.
I can't wait for chrysalis to return!!!
You missed one.
Did they just throw the mastermind behind almost removing magic from Equestria, into a cage right next to a just as intelligent, manipulative creature that too almost took over Equestria?
That's like me throwing the top 5 smartest inmates in one jail cell together.
Exactly, they're leading to their own downfall!
We all knew she was evil day one
We all waited for the reveal
We thought she was with Chrystalis
Or with Neighsay
We were wrong
SHE WAS FREAKING PENPALS WITH A DEMON IN TARTARUS!!!!!!!

I did know she was evil.
And she will play Tirek like he played his brother.
Don't take it out of content ok?
1:45 the one hard for twilight was the fake wings, in fact they said that the walking on clouds spell was easier, that's why she choosed it over the fake wings
Equestria's law system and its logic:
Trixie: being a little mean and braggart.
Yeah, locking a child up!
Only in Equestria~
Yes
Hasbro don't. Think
ahah twilight actually said the spell that gave rarity wings was extremely difficult, she said the spell to walk on clouds was easier to do on the rest of them. but youre still spitting facts in this video tho:)))
only about a dozen more, but worth a thought:
(x) yes, question Starlight's ability to spellcast before trying or checking yourself, Twilight. you're such a great friend.
(x) wait, Cozy Glow catalogued the magical artifacts, right? i don't suppose one of those might be responsible for the present problem? (okay, so it isn't, but at the time, it seemed like a logical deduction. why does she have access anyway? ...Celestia!!!)
(x) how is raising the moon difficult already? you tried? it's nowhere near night yet, Luna.
(x) Starswirl's predictions are remarkably precise. he really is good... almost too good....
(x) yes, it's okay to count on your friends. it's not okay to forcibly volunteer them. why not ask? i'm sure they'll say, "yes."
(x) actually, the entirety of Equestria IS losing its magic. the students SHOULD be sent home. it's a national, frickin' emergency!
Seriously where's Cozy Glow's parents?!
Exactly! Their daughter has been up to some creepy stuff lately! Or, they're in on her plan and this is all apart of something bigger! What do you think?
Or maybe it's Systemic Hypoplasia.
She's probably an orphan.
So many errors in this video but I'm too lazy to name them all
I love the final line by Cozy Glow, and how the magic rebound gently returns to everyone and then just lays out Tirek.
Hah! Pretty much!
Also do they really put the little crazy Filly next to Tirek that just sounds like a bad idea.
Yeah, Tirek was the one who gave her the little "push" she needed! Heck, they practically worked TOGETHER on this plan! That's like putting a robber and a murderer in the same house that has a family of five people!
Celestia is so smart
*You ponies think you are so smart*
Yeah uh... here's a sin for the finale: How could the whole plot revolve around unicorn magic being lost on the first day, creature magic on the second, and artifact magic on the third, specifically mentioning losing specific magics at sunset... when Celestia and Luna are the ones who control the sun and moon and therefore are in control of the days? Luna even menioned she had trouble moving the moon near the beginning, and it looked like Luna and Celestia lost their magic by the third day... so how did that last sunset happen? Celestia couldn't lower the sun...
Quick note: the package and the letters would fall at the rate given that the acceleration of gravity was constant in Equestria
partyjams technically, the letters would be much more affected by air resistance
You forgot the part where rarity said “my tail is for decorative perposes only” when she literally cut her tail off in the second/first episode ever
1:40 yes, she cast it on all of them. Twi could easily have done the same. it was the Wing Spell that was too difficult to do multiple times.
Wait is that Professor Snape in pony form?
So this villian came out of nowhere.season 8 finale didn't makes any sense
Twilight didn't have trouble with the cloud walking spell, she had trouble with the butterfly wing spell. That's why only Rarity had it.
The facial animations are on fleek doe
Cozy Glow is insanely evil
Trapping a Filly in Tartarus?? I mean they should've trapped Chrysalis... Why didn't they lock Chrysalis in Tartarus before she escaped??? I mean, in the season 6 finale The Main Six was there, Starlight, Discord, Trixie, Luna and Celestia, Cadence, Shining Armor, Flurry Heart, Thorax and the rest of the reformed changelings were there, they could've captured Chrysalis easily... but I guess not...
Cuz plot demands Chrysalis to be a recurring villain
@@animefanlt01 pretty much! What exactly is she doing now? Meeting Discord for tea every Saturday?
@@miraculouseveraftersforeve91 probably scheming ideas of how to get revenge against Starlight
What was up about that commentary on wanting the Student Six to be killed off? I mean it's fine they aren't your cup of tea, but they haven't done anything to warrant such a comment.
He said he wouldn't be surprised is the young six were going to be killed off on a final destination type situation
Y-you want the student 6 dead
How does anyone eat in tartarus? I MEAN HELLO CELESTIA FEED THE LOKED UP ANIMALS
Yes he does! Kick him off the court! Or the EEA! Whatever just kick him out!
My Little Pony: Best Gift Ever(2018)
Damn that is really good explanation
I don't understand the point of the 11th sin if in the next shot it was basically explained by Celestia that on the second day, creatures lose their magic abilities, flight included.Honest question:do you guys make the sins along the dialogue or do you first watch the episode?Because I feel that the latter would make more sense...
Rapey Tirek (Tirape?) is the last thing I would expect from a freaking kids show
Twilight didn’t have an issue with that cloud walking spell, she had an issue with the butterfly wing spell. Also, twilight obviously doesn’t have an issue with it anymore even if she did. The mane six walk on clouds a lot
I love how the crowd doesn't give a bucks that starlight is trapped in this magic portal and cozy just happened to know where shes located, it's not almost like she was using magic to seduce the crowd.
Also let me guess she will befriend Tirek and use this power to escape....
Exactly, do they not see Starlight is trapped?
@@luciawilliamson-waggoner3369 But how we're they expecting the young six to have been able to use magic? Only Ocellus can, I doubt changling magic can do that.
1:48 the spell used to allow earth ponies and pegasi was easy, it was the spell that gave them wings that was super difficult
Wow this episode had the most plot holes, it's like a swiss cheese

13:00 Yeah. I mean like the way MLP imprisonment works is pretty much like real life. It sucks sometimes
You left out the final shot with Cozy Glow's evil laugh.
Derpy know who to give the letters too because she gets the letters from terck
let's add a sin for this NOT being 12 minutes of less, because it's 13 minutes and 20 seconds
Moral of the story: no matter how young you are you can rule a whole freaking school and steal everyponys magic and starve starlight glimmer to death

1:50 the spell that was hard was to give wings to a pony but allowing them to just walk on clouds was stated by twilight herself to be easy
Cozy glow is my new favorite villian sorry bug horse
Bug horse: *damaged coda*

No I meant chrysalis
XD I miss this series, you're like CinemaSins but not limited mainly on movies and you have so much more humor

"everything wrong with ..."
*mlp intro* "...FRIENDS"
So, could someone explain and introduce the Tar Tarus caretaker? Seriously, they bring the mane six to Tartarus, there is a guard chicken, but the caretaker to rule over all of it. I was also a bit underwhelmed by the sale of Tartarus real estate. I mean, we could have had Tar Torus the minotaur watching over Tartarus, and a full blown 'no' from someone in charge.
0:23 Eques tron it's going to love this shot
"10 Years Time Out"🤣🤣
Keep in mind that locking up a manipulative child was the most helpful thing the guards have every done.
Always knew Cozy Glow was going to be the villain because she always sounded way to enthusiastic and extremely fake
Equestrian rules = say what?
Sentient Tree or Harmony, Once again being useless until the very end 🎵
I liked and subscribed.
Glow tried to basically destroy the world as they understood it, so they tried her as an adult.
funniest sentence yet! good job
Damn it I’m too late by a second!
Wait, so why did Cozy give Flim and Flam a copy of Twilight’s curriculum in that earlier. That didn’t seem to benefit her at all.
8:04
man dont you love it when your mane clips with your face shadowing and lines
1:49 The cloud walking is not a difficult spell. Twilight even stated as such it waa easuer than the wax wing spell she casted on Rarity in "Sonic Rainboom".
It later implied to be a very common spell unicorns use to visit Cloud based cities. How else did you think those unicorns and others could visit such places safely?
Also Starlight had already ultized this back in "Cutie Remark". It is nothing new nor high level.
The when Rainbow Dash introduce this Factory my first thoughts were, "Welcome to the Rainbow Factory!"
5:11 I have the answer.
*Cozy Glow is the devil.*
5:50 ik its a running joke she can break the forth wall but pinkies eyes are open
