Pretty insane they're building this after being in their current building since only 2012. It's definitely a lot more space, but the current building is rather nice. Wonder what teams will move into after they remodel, as football is half the basement (footbal locker room/coaches locker rooms, huge weight room, and 2nd floor offices and team rooms).
@beaglelover338 The LA schools have lost some good talent because of U. Of Oregon's state of the art athletic facilities. Chip Kelly was there when the new facilities were built and he used them to sell recruits from Southern California. Since he's been at UCLA, he hasn't been able to attract the same level of talent there.
@beaglelover338 we've sent talent to Utah, Arizona, Alabama and Oklahoma over the years. We managed to get Mike Williams out of Florida and Joe McKnight out of Louisiana, so thank you for that.
Calling All Future Five Star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Athletes That want to make it to the NFL with guaranteed success? Look no further than USC FOOTBALL!!!!!! Home of Champions!!! And Heisman Trophy winners!!!!!!! Fight On. ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
This is something big something that hasn’t been done to bring the Hall of Fame and Heisman all Americans and everything that evolves around USC into one place and the students that are thinking of coming to USC will be walking through a museum. That is something I don’t think any college is doing And if they try, they would have to go beyond what USC is doing now in order to get that attention. USC is now getting.
Looks way better than the preliminary artwork they revealed! Looking forward to it. I don’t mind the football facilities looking sleek and modern, but please keep the academic facilities with the classical Romanesque designs please. Can’t wait to watch construction! Fight on!✌🏻
USC is a *private* school, so I don’t think this project used taxpayer money to my knowledge. Just donors and endowment money most likely. Please correct me if I am I correct on this.
This is awesome! But... Pete had open practices and everyone was engaged in the energy. If I knew I had some time I'd drive my butt to campus and catch a practice. It was surreal. Fast forward and the McKay center is locked up like Fort Knox. If we're on campus we can see the guys walk from there, across McClintock to HJF but that's about it. Helton had practice available to us but we were cordoned off. Enter Riley. He has everything closed off. Now with this facility NOBODY will see anything except the beat reporters. ZERO engagement from students, alumni or just fans that want to take their kids. The days of watching the team practice are gone. I find that disconcerting. Hopefully Jen has some ideas.
Because no one cheated to win championships back then. Today everyone does it! Ever hear of Belichek patriots dynasty or the defending national champion Michigan 😂
Times are a changing people. Open practices mean assistants with cameras from rival schools recording your plays before the game starts. That’s the difference between then and now 😂
So you want to help keep USC from winning so you can look at their game plan before the game. And you want them to open practice because people used to do that a long time ago before everyone realized that you could get away with cheating and still win championships? 🤣🤣
The casuals who don’t understand why they can’t have open practice anymore really don’t understand the purpose of having a football team. THE WHOLE POINT of PLAYING FOOTBALL is to WIN the CHAMPIONSHIP! 🏆
@@breakbones47 All that camera crap is bullshitt. How come any team that is NOT from the SEC is considered to be "cheating" but the SEC won all those National Championships WITHOUT Cheating? Gtfoh.
Haven't been down to the USC campus in some time, so I'm wondering if they're tearing down Heritage Hall to build this new complex. Or will it be where Webb residence hall tower is?
This proposed venue should be turned into a special private club for alumni and those being recruited. Make the players earn their way in, by graduating or making the NFL. When you give the players everything upfront, they are unable to perform and beat teams like Michigan. These guys aren’t hungry enough to win it all and their motivation to win is weak, as they’re being rewarded for merely being players on this team.
Incredible how Pete Carroll had USC DOMINATING college football with back alley garbage facilities to work with...Maybe it's about great coaching...With that said, the new facilities are astonishing! 👍🏻✌🏼❤️🏈 Any chance we'll see a tribute to Pete Carroll? Meeting room? Practice field? For god's sake let's see something...👍🏻👍🏻

10 years ago is a long time. It’s very outdated and it’s all about recruiting against the other elite programs that also have elite facility’s this is much needed.
I know hes no longer around but Mike Bohn deserves a lot of credit, this was part of his vision which help attract coach Riley to SC.✌🏾
