Im so glad you made these vids. I just picked up kitana and mk1 in general. Thank you so much for going thru the strengths of both characters to help me decide! I think ima go with Jax for the more direct assist playstyle. (Janet looks like too much for my scrub ass)
I main Ashrah but I really want to main Rain and Kitana I love them both, but it seems if people are just super patient with Kitana it’s impossible to open them up it’s only when they’re super mashy when u can really eat them up.
@@noellenyx Yea that’s like literally what I’m saying…. Good luck whiff punishing mfs that straight up doesn’t let go of block. Then you rely on all your damage coming from grabs or punishes but with the Kameo system it’s honestly really rare someone actually does something unsafe. That’s why Jax seems to still be the optimal pick for the block pressure ground pound stuff, also the bomb set up grab thing is the only really cheap thing she has going.
@@louis550I agree if you play someone super patient it’s really hard to open up and that’s where the string into Jax unblockable seems more important. I’ve seen tournament sets where you see the Kitana just doing those over and over bc the opponent is just blocking for so long and it’s guaranteed and one of the only ways to open up consistently. Jax and Khameleon seem to be her best options rn. The 112 confirm is really good too but idk if that and the wall alone beat all the other options she has with Jax or even Khameleon I think both those buff Kitana’s offense and neutral.
@@louis550 if they dont let go of block... you grab... and thats literally the point of 11 and it looks like it's a grab animation and is a quick high mid and it'll catch them
