Big Couloir - Big Sky Montana

To ski Big Couloir/North Summit Snowfield, you need the following:
-Avalanche gear (beacon, probe, shovel)
-Partner (sometimes ski patrol is able to go down with you in replace of a partner but this is inconsistently an option)
-Being relatively comfortable skiing double blacks
-A time slot:
1. Big Couloir and North Summit Snowfield only open if the summit is at least at 0 degrees F
2. Follow the "signs" once you exit the Big Sky Tram, they lead you to the sign-out hut (these signs take you past the ski patrol building and then to the right)
3. Once you are in the hut, you will have a conversation with a ski patroller and they will check off your gear and give you a time slot (if there are open slots)

sounds more like TSA with all the hoops and box checking, I guess pre-check since you have to pay extra for all this.
