If you are trying to learn something new in the park, split it up in smaller steps and take it easy. For example, when i wanted to learn to rail i started out at small boxes and went to bigger and bigger boxes and then i went to the rails. Another tip is to think about the trick you want to do before you send it, take the time and imagine it.
@@GOLFOHIO I understand exactly what you mean, i'm also like that but its been better this season, last winter was horrible, i was scared to even slide a box. Now its better, its something thats gets better with time and you just gotta take your own time and don't stress it. Take small steps and build confident.

Awh the snow there looks so nice and powdery! In California it’s nowhere even close to that soft, I’m jealous haha. I went skiing for the first time in my life a few days ago, and I find it so scary, but so exciting. The one thing I can’t get down is stopping. I feel like the snow in California is more like ice with how slippery it is, doing wedges just doesn’t cut it there and I always feel like when I wedge I just start going faster.
I’m from California and we most definitely do get powder (although might not be as fluffy as Colorado or Utah powder but there’s still powder), you probably went when it hasn’t snowed in days, also depends on where you skied too
hi! i’m a skier and i have some tips. where i live it depends on when and where you go, but it’s either really powdery or really icey. i usually encounter ice, so here are some tips i have. 1. if going down a steep run but it smoothens out, go fast. your gonna slow down once it goes uphill, or flat. go to the wanted speed of your choice, but you’ll most likely slow down anyway. 2. always use the turning up method, for ex: when going down a run turn right and upwards, then left and upwards, it’ll slow you down. 3. use pizza. if you’re on super icey snow, and the pizza dosent stop you but it slows you down, and you really need to stop, just fall. just fall! that’ll stop you lol, and you can always just get back up and go. have fun!!
In 1977 I crossed my tips doing about 80 mph straight downhill on a Killington black diamond. My left knee exploded.. I never ski'd again. The binding didnt release, one stupid adjustment and I was done for.
What downhill skiing was always meant to be...fun! Checkout the 1983 movie 'Copper Mountain' with Alan Thicke and a very young Jim Carrey. Thanks for the fantastic video.
thanks ! good video! o ! real big wow the beauty way up like french alps and other euro places caked with powder! rocky mountain high! o yes. colorado! peace
What size skis are you guys rocking? I have some 102 Salomon and some 85 Line double rockers. Never been to Copper. Trying to figure what is best. We had 58” in 4 days at Winter Park last January and my 102s were righteous but thats alot of snow in short period
That’s sick bro, hopefully for your next giveaway im the person to win it.I’m kinda low on money right now so that would be great.Keep up the good content love ya ❤
Good video but it appears your skis are way to short which limits your ability to ski to your ultimate potential. Try these steep runs on some K2 200's , Fischer long boards or some Vokyl P9s and see what you can do. 😀😀😀😀😀😀
You didn't hit Tucker Mountain in the back or Spalding bowl... Copper is one of the best mountains in the world. Vail and Copper the best in CO for sure.
@@mountainman8129 Which part? No amazing snow? :/ :P. I am sure the steepness is fine if you look for fun black diamond slopes, but by "too flat" (which was an obvious exageration in reaction to the video's title) I meant that there doesn't seem to be many extreme steepness/forced jump turn couloirs/walls in the 45-50 degrees range in the area, which is what I happen to like. I might be wrong but the footage doesn't seem to show any potential interesting stuff for my personal likes. It certainly does look like a nice station otherwise 👍
If this guy's as noisy all the time as he is here, I'd be embarrassed to be skiing with him. Then I read the description a little closer; "east coast lifer." 'Nuff said...
There is nothing better than skiing with 4 or 5 friends on a powder day! Everybody is hootin' and hollerin'. It's called pure joy! Maybe you just haven't had those experiences yet. I hope you get to someday! (PS- this is not quite what I would consider a powder day, but compared to east coast skiing, it definitely is.)✌❤❄
Always fun to see someone ski their very first black run. Nice job!
Ya that first black run sure was scary! 😂
Which part was that?
love it when the snow is still fluffy, gives an insane skiing experience.

We used to call those conditions: "Ego Snow." It is beautifully PERFECT!!! You're floating down the mountain face like a feather. The stuff of dreams.

Love this type of skiing content. Keep it up.
This has my pumped up for my trip to copper now
“Yeah! This is sick”. I concur!😆
YOOOO!! Can you please make a video on how to gain confidence in the park?
he made a video "how to commit to new tricks" maybe that will help you?

I love these videos, can you make more vids of just having fun?❤
Copper's triple blacks are definitely scary. My skied 12 years at copper. Our favorite, for sure. We still haven't skiied the entire mtn.
Looks like a great time!
I taught for Club Med at Copper. A fun mountain, however nothing at Copper is that steep.
Im heading there this weekend so this video is making me so stoked!!
That Icelantic ski looks dope.
The backside of Copper can be so good when the condition is right. You need wider skis man for the freshies haha.
In 1977 I crossed my tips doing about 80 mph straight downhill on a Killington black diamond. My left knee exploded.. I never ski'd again. The binding didnt release, one stupid adjustment and I was done for.
A great season to be at Copper too!
I went downhill mt biking here it was awesome. Want to go back in winter for some skiing. Looks great!
oh the sound of accomplishing something you never thought you could do
loved it man ! great video AND great song didn't know it 🙂
“Yeah this is sick. Oh it’s deep”. Yes.

I'll have to check it out! Thank you!
Yeah, that's a classic movie! Not many people know about it. Cool to see all the familiar spots in the movie! 🤘

Nice! Was there on those runs last year returning in late march.
“Best run of my life!”
“…Really??”
😂
What are those skis? Love the runs, looks so fun!
Vishnu Wet+!
You guys are awesome!

Beautiful places !
Nicely done!!
Hi. Nice clip. What size skis you guys are using? 84 are wide enough?
Six shooter with an upslope wind: “not ideal”.😆
Like a good day in Horseshoe bowl at Breck🤣
dope vid as always... u def need a west coast setup lol...wider skis would be so much better for Terrain like that.
Those aren't the steep runs at Copper. Try Enchanted Forest, Patrol Chute, or the Taco Chutes.
SO sick
Glad you captured those runs dude, so fun
Glad you were there cuz!
positvity is the best on difficult runs
Its deeeeep
😂😂😂😂
What GoPro attachment do you use for it to look like that?
This was mostly shot on the Insta360 X3, got a link for it in the description if you want to check it out!
Came to youtube to look into Joshua Tree Park and ended up on the peaks😅
That’s crazy
Bro, can you go to marmot basin?

what camera settings do you use on cloudy days with no vis? just got an x3!
Honestly just went with the auto settings other than using the Standard color profile
What skis were the last ones in the video?
awesome video! Whats the song at 3:34? Very cool
earth by tilden parc, xavy rusan
What pants are you using?
More Noise than Skills
You skied an inbounds run? 😪
Damn what´s the song name at 03:30?
Could someone please help, need that song!
Found it, it´s called Tilden Parc, Xavy Rusan - Earth (Light It Up) if anyone is wondering
I worked there bumping chairs 87-88
Copppah
whats the song called at 3:40?
earth by tilden parc, xavy rusan
Nah bro said its just a bit windy nahhhhhh its probably like 10-15 maybe 25 mph of wind
It’s definitely not the steepest run at copper! Fun as hell for sure but double x and triple x are steeper!
I'll have to find those next time! Didn't have much time to explore!
Intro Song?
Super !!!
You remind me of Dayton from house gamers
You didn't hit Tucker Mountain in the back or Spalding bowl... Copper is one of the best mountains in the world. Vail and Copper the best in CO for sure.
hahaha... you want steep? come to Alaska its a whole new experience....come and ski 45 degree slopes at the resort.....
Hoping to get there someday 🙌
we have steeper runs here in PA LOLOLOL
Are you going to show the STEEP stuff in the next video?
Definitely not the steepest runs at Copper. Not the best pow on those either, but can still be great fun.
The snow looks amazing and lots of fun run, but seems it's all a bit too flat to attract me there, I'd get bored after a day or two.
As a former Summit County resident and Copper employee, I can say that you are 100% wrong about that. ✌❤❄

@emphyriohazzl1510 - no, Copper doesn't really have any extreme terrain, like you describe. Try A-basin and Crested Butte for that stuff.

he needs to stop leaning into the hill like that
"that was the best run of my life"
"ReAlly??"
Sadly, there are zero steeps at Copper

Best run of your life?? 😢
You need to turn more often and stop talking. You really aren't at a level where you should be on this terrain.
Yep nearly died every run I took!
Maybe he’s just trying to have fun?
cat track. learn how to ski
You ruined the powder. Learn how to turn
