Agreed. The Razr is better in terms of innovation. My only gripe is that it still uses USB 2.0. No video out is disappointing. Other than that, this phone is fantastic.
The purchase was worth it. I can't imagine myself ever going back to non-flip phone. The big rear screen at 165hz blows away the competition. It charges faster than samsungs

Motorola doesnt have better support, poor software upgrades and worse cameras. Also, Motorola doesn't come close to trade-in offers. The only advantage it has is a more usable cover screen, but Good Lock solves that problem.

My deal breaker is not getting update at a quicker rate and no ultra wide/ bad low light or night mode camera and yet I still might choose it anyway that how much I love motorola razr plus this year❤
It’s free at T-Mobile. The pocket detection turn it off and back on it will work. The camera work with the saturation settings to fix the red lipstick color. I forgot the other issues talked about.

The external display is amazing and super useful, Moto software is clean and with no frills, reception is really good, both screens have LTPO technology so battery lasts much longer than a Flip 6. Only con are updates lacking far behind Samsung. But 3 year major Android updates for me are more than enough. I change phones very often and never keep them for 5/6/7 years
Tell me one phone which takes good photos in the night while using digital zoom… That’s probably only a contra for people who want to film sunsets all the time. And to be honest. If someone want to do so he should maybe think about buying a professional camera for that. Because there is no phone which can take really good photos of sunsets with this less amount of light I think 😅
These are £900 in the UK from EE unlocked. Flossy Carter gave this a major major major go in his review after using it for two weeks, and said its the best flipper on the market. For that reason alone its my next purchase.
I switched the fingerprint setting to only activate when pressed vs touched, and even still too sensitive. Flipping got old quick. Some software issues. Definitely got warm. Hard to see with glare from sun on a plastic screen. After 11 days, I returned mine.
Does the razr 50 ultra always on display have a schedule timer to bring this on at a set time and to turn it off at a set time ? Or does it stay on until you switch it off do you know ?
I personally when getting a new phone used to base my decision solely on how good the camera is. I'm someone that loves taking pictures but doesn't always want to carry my actual camera around. So getting a phone with a good camera was major for me. Especially when out on hikes or going abroad. Also rarely ever take selfies. ALTHOUGH with all that said I am getting the razr 50 ultra tomorrow. Camera isn't as much of a priority anymore but this will be good enough for what I need.
Great video; it's a shame the Motorola Razr devices have lost the magic they once used to hold and that price tag is crazy. Will you be doing a Zfold6/flip review? Although that's another device that's lost its magic.

@@JadaaFresh it does get hot but it also cools quickly. It is displacing the heat by warming the body of the phone so as long as the device is allowed to cool it works just fine. It is a small phone by design so cooling is a minor issue bit so far functionality is unaffected.
The overheating and the camera quality is just a Motorola issue; not only the Razr (50). I've learned to live with it. If it was just a bit cheaper, I'd buy one so I can have a small(er) phone that actually would fit in all my purses.

The thing with that is it does not need all the fast updates Samsung puts out to continue to function correctly. Samsung is not a very good product all around. Had a laptop from them after 7 months, normal use and following all their recommendations. The motherboard fried and so did the batteries. I was using the charger that came with it.

The Razr plus 2024 is an awesome phone. I find the cover screen alone blows flip 6 out of the water. Motorola wins all around!
Motorola doesnt have better support, poor software upgrades and worse cameras. Also, Motorola doesn't come close to trade-in offers. The only advantage it has is a more usable cover screen, but Good Lock solves that problem.

Anyone who wants to take good photos doesn't use phones. There are cameras for that. Therefore, the camera in the phone is just for selfies.
