The silk cami is my go-to top when i want to feel cool, but also elegant and unfussy. i love it with the merchant and mills strides trousers, its very katharine hepburn or annie hall!
I was thinking of hacking the Vintage shirt dress without the collar and just a button band. One of my favourites at the moment is the Eve dress. I’ve made in a cotton voile and it’s so cool. 😍
Hey Lisa, hope you had a lovely holiday. I do not yet have favorite patterns as I am just returning to sewing after many, many years. But the Ultimate Trousers and the Ultimate Culottes are both on my list for this summer. And hearing you talk about it, I think I also want to try the Playsuit in the long leg version. Just like you, don't like my knees out. Do like cool, floatty rayons.
I have some lovely silk and have the silk cami pattern. However, I also really love the drape of a bias-cut silk top. Do you think that the silk cami pattern would work also as a bias-cut top?
I bought a couple of your patterns at the start of this month and I too almost didn't buy the Rosie dress because of the boning.....but I decided to go ahead and see if I could make it without the boning. I was never so happy as to hear you say that you've made it without the boning, lol. I have yet to make mine, but was just wondering, is it as simple as just skipping the boning part of the pattern? I know you said to just skip it, but I was curious if there was any little tweaks we needed to make in order to leave the boning out? And I know you said you are planning to make another one....so if there are any tips or tweaks....is there any chance of you doing a video on it whilst you happen to be making yours? I'd love to know. Maybe I'm very cheeky to ask that, lol. But I'd cry if I cut into the lovely fabric I've bought for the Rosie dress, only to find out I messed it up, teehee. Thanks so much. Lee xx
Donna B I know. So also toying with the idea to make a two piece set out of it. Same fabric for seperste elongated top en the trousers, so it looks like a jumpsuit without the total underdress each time you need to go. But you loose bit of the easy and of the relaxed elegance of a real jumpsuit. So not decided yet.
Everything is so very cute and flattering on you!
I love the idea of the short sleeve or even better a cap sleeve Vintage shirt dress!
Love all of the patterns, looking forward to the magazine

summer blue polka dot you are wearing -- color is so refreshing & other designs so feminine, classy, simple.

You’ve inspired me to print off my poppy play suit and actually make it this summer. Think I need to book some days off for a sewcation
For me, the Eve dress is perfect for summer!

Love the blue polka dot rayon fabric you're wearing! Is it available in your shop, and can it be mail ordered (since I'm in the US)?
Hi Lisa, you mentioned your magazine, the third one. How do I find these please. Thank you x x
But with jumpsuits, you have to totally get undressed to use the bathroom! They look great, but aren't practical.
