I would think that Honda provides the OEM Handlebar End Weights to dampen vibration/resonances? Do you sense any differences without having them installed? I recall coming across an article where someone was able to use a Unibit to enlarge a hole on the end of the Goldstrike Grips to enable the reinstallation of the Honda factory End Weights along with the Grips... Hmmmm 🤔
This is the first mod I did to my Goldwing when I bought it. Coming from riding Harley's I much prefer the fat grips. The one thing that surprised me is why they didn't use a screw on the endcap that would screw into the bars like the OEM end weight screw does. Their setup just has the endcap screw into their grips.
This was one of my first modifications to 2023 Goldwing, but yesterday I noticed the left grip has migrated left (outboard) about 0.25”. I guess I will have to remove, install now double-sided tape and reinstall. I’ve been using grip heat recently, so I’m thinking this is the cause of the grip migration. I’ve experienced no issues with the right grip.
thank you for the very detailed video, but I still think that the OEM Handlebar End Weights are very important on the Goldwings, as on many other motorcycles.
They really help enhance the Goldwing appearance very nice. Chris I also have question and it about the bar end weights, what are their purpose? thanks for sharing safe travels . ARKANSAS Badlands
Been wanting a set of these but wasn’t sure about the heated grips. But you answered my question on that. Will have to get a set for mine..
I recommend sitting on the bike when performing a dry fit, readjust grips to maximize hand placement comfort.
I love mine. Easy install too. And most of all…just big enough for my hands.
Love these grips. Very beautiful Gold Wing you have there Chris. Installation was a snap too. Nicely done here.

After removing the end bar weights, the Golstrike grips lessened the feeling of vibration and reduced hand fatigue.

I believe the end weights help cut down handlebar vibration and not sure they are not re installed..
