  • Hi folks,
    Here we have a lure fishing video, targeting bass in a harbour. I try topwaters and metals.
    The surface lure is a Savage Gear Panic Prey V2 110mm, 19g.
    The metal lure is a Savage Gear Seeker ISP 13g.
    Hope you enjoyed! Stay tuned for more.

    A great video. Thanks for sharing. I buy most of my hooks etc online, & I find one hook manufacturer versus another have the same size hook number, but they are very different in size when sat next to one another. I bought some VMC inlines & the 2/0 were tiny, so next time I bought Mustad inlines in 4/0, & they were huge. Probably best to take your lure, or at least the trebles with you, so you can match them up when you're buying new hooks.
    No matter the size of the fish, there's nothing like the feel of getting your lure hit.

    Nice vid enjoyed that , little tip on the 2 you missed bigger bass will smash into bait fish to stun them then go for the kill . This is the hard part because instinct and adrenaline want you to keep reeling but pause count to 2 then reel quite often they take on second hit.

Only a cheap knock off patchinko lure I got on amazon too, really pleased tbh, past 3 times within 2 weeks I've been to the ledge I've caught, 5 bass in total all decent sized. Good video mate , when your fishing the topwater and have a take or follow, stop the lure and leave for a few seconds , you will get more hook ups. Also try the size 1/0 Mustad Kaiju perfect replacement on most lures up to 125mm ,go up to the 2/0 on the bigger lures or metals.

    Enjoyed the video, with reference to other books instead of trebles, try assist hooks, use these a lot instead of trebles. Also try size 2/0 or 3/0 circle books and crush the barb, may lose some but better for the fish.

    • @fishingwithharry6765
      @fishingwithharry6765  3 года назад

      Will have to give the assist hooks a try! I've got them on some smaller metal lures. Good idea, I have some 1/0 Mustad Kaiju that I've put on a few lures.

    Good video mate subbed.. just a suggestion but bass have big mouths so a bigger hook size will help the hook up rate. also on the surface lures if you pause after they strike 99% of the time they will come back and hook up! Tight lines

      I'd never caught a bass until a couple days ago, honestly had no idea what I was doing. Was with a friend who had lots a really great gear, yet he had no luck, I casted out this little red paddle tail about 8cm long on a 5g Texus rig and no word of a lie first cast boom. Then nothing for the rest of the session, I guess you never really know what's going to happen on a trip. Alot of these fishermen you see on YT make it look like they're really lucky, but they probably spend hours and cut up the video to include the best parts. This guy is probably one of the most genuine fishermen I've seen on RUclips yet!

    Hi mate. Lovely filming & editing, well done. Liked & subscribed.
    Appreciated the live takes/follows on the surface. It is always funny and heartpumping, isn't!
    If I may suggest, at 5:15, the bass followed your lure nearly until your feet, then a teeny tiny backhand cast would have been enough to trigger another follow and hopefully a take.

      Thank you! I do, the net is a Shakespeare Agility trout net. It's a good little net, rubber mesh so less smelly and less chances of getting the hook fully caught in it. Although the fold out locking mechanism is a little iffy if you're in a hurry! The backpack was from amazon, a 30l pack with a few compartments. For the life of me I can't find it on there again, it may be discontinued! I went for a 30l as nice middle ground to carry all I need. Any decent quality pack with plenty of pockets dotted around would work well for fishing! Good luck in starting, if you have any more questions I'm happy to help.
