Brilliant upload Dave, thank you. I exclusively lure fish for Bass these days, mostly from the shore. I really don't have a lot to add; you covered everything nicely. One lure I would keep close to hand for sub-surface bait fish replication is the Abu Toby. It's the right size, looks the business and is cheap. An alternative would be the Savage Gear Seeker. I love your surface lure selection; I have a Savage Gear version of the Maria Pop Queen. Have never tried the Heddon Spook, but will give it a go. The Sammy is excellent, but the Lucky Craft lure I love is the Gun Fish. It has produced really well when there's a little chop on. Also, if you are on a mark with a lateral current then you can cast it uptide and leave it other than the odd twitch. The Bass always smash it from underneath. Look at the Whiplash Factory Spittin' Wire. I had 10 Bass on that off the top at night during one session. Excellent. Finally, have a cake mate! You look so thin! 😊 Thanks again, John
Hi Dave, just moved down to Cornwall, from the Midlands, and wanna go throw some lures. What do you reckon, winter lures from the shore? I know it's purely catch and release at this time of year, but just wanna hook into some silver!
Just bought a panic prey, has a split ring on it. Is it fine to remove this and clip straight onto the lure? Didn't want to remove it if it's meant to allow beat lure action.
Patchinko 125 500g has caught me a numbers of decent bass over the past few years..my go to lure 💯%🤙🏼

Dave great vid as usuall one question how do you connect your lures? clip?
Hi David, I use Breakaway Mini-Links. They’ve never let me down, and they work really well with true surface poppers too - unlike most other clips.
What is the colour of maria pop gueen? It is90 right?
It’s a 130 but I don’t know the colour (or even if they still do that colour).

You can remove the split ring and it won’t affect the action.
@@DaveBarhamFishing thanks. 👍
