He taught me so much about the plants and animals, the solar system, nuclear power, you name it, and always bought me books and encouraged me to keep learning from them. He passed away a little over a year ago now. I’m currently a first year undergrad studying biochemistry in university and I never would have been here if it wasn’t for him. I know it’s kinda silly or whatever but whenever I’m missing him or feeling sad I’ll listen to this song, because of how the lyrics represent Senku’s thoughts towards his dad and I find it so relatable to myself. I love the original version too, but obviously the english version is the one I can understand fully and relate to the most. I cry every time I listen to this but it means the world to me. Thank you for making this cover ❤️

Eventhough Byakuya no longer alive, his story, his knowledge, his spirit (especially in search of platinum or inspiring Chrome to learn about stone) still past down(echoed) through generations to Senku. All to save Senku from the present day. And in manga, Senku often remember his life (adventure) with his father too.
Sorry if you haven't read the manga. All the 100 stories was created by Byakuya (Senku's step father) not only to educate the future generations but also messages for Senku.

I love how this ending didn't even focus on the characters. It just showed real-life images that pay homage to the ideas it wants to communicate. This wasn't an anime ending - this was a music video homage to science, industry, and progress. Someone once said that a good story is like an essay in motion: presenting an idea as true. And Dr. Stone's unflinching faith in its ideas can be seen in every detail. It has a _theme._ Dr. Stone isn't just a shounen anime. It's a well-written essay on why Science is the only truly good pursuit, and why even in the darkest moments, it has been and will always be our civilization's only true salvation.
I also saw it represents the resolve of humanity to persevere, even after society was turned to stone. There are still remnants of the past to carry the torch and restore humanity despite how bleak the situation is. Senku would never abandon any part of humanity, even the worst parts because he understands that the sum of our parts creates a greater whole than any combination of its components alone could muster.
