I don’t normally get sappy, but I need to thank you Will. I’ve been listening to this song for a while now and it’s by far one of my favorites. The sappy part is that I just had my first ever surgery. I was really nervous (anxious, hyperventilating, panicked, etc.) the nurse asked if I wanted to listen to music or anything so I pulled out my phone and earbuds and played this song. It helped me so much and now I’m on the late recovery stage. Once again, Thank you Will for making this cover. I owe you one❤️
You know, I never googled the lyrics to comedy before, just because I loved the song so much, i felt like i didn't need to really google it. But after listening to this cover, I realized how much I had missed out just by not looking up the lyrics. "Dinner's waiting, c'mon let's go" hit me the most, it's such a home-y line. I guess it reminded me of when I was in college, and I barely had time to eat because I was working so much (school, internship, work, there were times I didn't get home until 3am), I would occasionally get a call from a friend (who lived on campus) to invite me over to dinner. Or, if I would head over to a friend's apartment after classes, and mentioned I was hungry, she would microwave my food for me . Or, at my job, they would make me a free dinner. Such a simple line to bring back so many memories for me, haha. But during that time in college, when I couldn't see my real family for so long because I was busy working, I had the people around me that took care of me TToTT
