GaratghDeloi jokes aside, the imperium remains the galaxy's best hope I think. I don't know much, if at all about the dark elder, or space Druchii as I call them, but this Vect fellow seems like Malekith in space. If he is indeed malekith in space, then he has undoubtedly commuted such heinous acts he would turn people white. So despite all the horrible things the imperium has done, I have a feeling these guys are a whole lot worse.
