    Those are really thick burgers to only smoke for 1 hour…. Try 2 hours at 225 Mr. Tool

      Also, I think it'd be nice to get a sear on both sides. For us, we always use a cast iron skillet to do the searing, because my Traeger eats up the pellets ... Thanks, Professor Duckie.

    Here's my suggestion. Maybe just smoke them on the pellet grill and not try to sear on a pellet grill. Just save your pellets. Then, come inside and sear them BOTH SIDES in a cast iron skillet.

    Yeah that's not a smoker, that's an easy bake oven...smoke ring may be there but the flavor isn't.

      Well, it still tastes better than McDonald's, so we love to cook burgers at home. Cheaper and tastier.

      Yeah I definitely needed to clean it out! I actually just changed the drip tray's aluminum foil so it's all ready for my next cooking session :-)
