We like ‘em either way. It just depends on what we’re in the mood for.
I like both. Smashburgers are great for like, a backyard BBQ beacuse you can cook a ton of them quickly, or for a weeknight dinner because again, they cook really quick. But when I have time like say, a weekend dinner or maybe I want to do a fancier burger, I'll 100% go the thicker route everytime.

(We would have preferred if you cooked the minced-meat to its full extend for health reasons but nice technique 👍)

Not sure I follow. The ring molds you're talking about? USing them to sear the meat?
@@thehungryhussey Yes sir, not sure the material there made of, but if you left the patty in the mold and put the mold on the griddle, looks like the burger's sides would sear since its still in the mold.

Have you tried toasting both sides of the buns? Be careful when toasting the top of the bun.
I most times toast both sides. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t. I do like it.

Better than a smashburger?!? Sacrilege! Blasphemy! I love a nice thick burger, and smoked meat is always amazing, but nothing beats a good smashburger! Maybe we can compromise and say it's as good as a smashburger, in its own way.
