These fakes a pretty good quality, but if you have the money I’d say get the original one. Kanken is an eco friendly and the quality is great, so I don’t think they are overpriced just for the sake of exclusivity.
I had experience with a fake backpack. That's when I didn't know the price of the original and bought a "drop" by buying a fake. I also checked everything from the video, thought it was an orig, but after I put on this backpack a couple of times, I started an allergic reaction - a rash, I wrote to the seller and asked if it should be washed immediately upon receipt, I was told no. But in the end, I started to suffer from irritation, combing my hands, which touched this same backpack and scratching my back, which the backpack also touched. As a result, I complained about the account of those fakes sellers and resold my backpack because I couldn't use it myself anymore. The annoyance took place after I sold my backpack and didn't touch it. It was all about pseudo-impregnation, if the original ones are impregnated with quality products, it's not clear what fakes soak. After this incident, I started postponing it to the original, and when I bought it, I didn't have such problems, I also never erased it. I bought a second original sling baby now and there's no problem with it either. From my personal experience, I realized that if there is no money for the original, either to save or buy some other brand, etc., but not to support the trick at the expense of the name of the quality original.
this is a very important question. This cardboard "tag" attached to the handle of the backpack is made as you show in the fake backpack, but the rest looks as you showed in the original.
Definitely serves me right for buying a 15" laptop Kanken for $50 online, but I'm still disappointed that I'm finding out now that it's a fake! Oh well, it's still a good backpack
@@evemae5716 the original backpack is eco friendly and supports the arctic foxes and so on. just because it is cheaper doesnt mean you should buy it. I’ve got an original which I use daily for commuting in London for a solid 1 year or even less, and it’s now got a hole in it 😔 would actually recommend a fake as the original doesn’t seem to be very sturdy at all!
I've seen many real kankens with logo's that don't have thick text, there's plenty of them online the main difference in real and fake kankens is that the real kanken has reflective material on the logo
I recently ordered a fake fjällräven kånken sling bag. The color looks nice(i got pastel purple) and the difference to the original one is minimal. The material is different but still firm and feels good and the logo is reflective. Just the sewing on the logo is untidy. But hey, for 20$ i can't complain! In love with it!
I have a fake one but honestly before watching this video I though it was a real one. He is very cool actually. So LET'S BUY SOME FAKE KAKEN BACKPACKS! (it's was £20 so it's fucking sure it's a fake one 😭)
Noice, glad to see most of the girls at my school have a fake one. Was getting a bit concerned that everyone was spending over $100 on a bag just to be trendy haha
I got one at the mall for 5000pessos/80 dollars but everything was hella simillar to the fake except for the font and sticker perhaps yours was a newer model i owned this for over a year!
Same! I’m really confused since I just got my kanken today which I ordered from zalora and it looks like the fake one! I’ve checked other articles and the ‘original’ one looks really different
Old version of kanken has thin text and other zip tag, new kanken has thick text. I have 2 kankens, one older and i buy both backpacks at original page :)
After seeing this the fake is just as good. The waterproof material sold me! $100 is too much for a backpack that has no structure or inside pockets. If it was a Northface, I could see spending a $100.
I SPENT $100 ON A FAKE FJÄLLRÄVEN BACKPACK!!!!! I worked hard on saving on my backpack. Now I learn it’s fake. Wow, what a pity! That’s for letting us know though!
Your bag most likely isn’t fake!!! :) it’s most likely just an older version. Check the tags for only Chinese writing, that’s a dead giveaway. And depending on where you bought it I highly doubt any reputable retailer would sell you a fake for 100$
Both looks almost the same. But it all boils down to quality. The fake one I bought lasted me for a few months. It broke after I filled it up with clothes. The zipper handle broke and straps were pulled out. But the original Kanken I bought is still sturdy after 3 years of almost daily use. The tag inside is tearing but everything else is still looking good.
I just got a black one for £20 from the charity shop, it looks brand new with no marks apart from some hair clips inside and is missing the seat pad and base pad. It's one that can be a backpack or an over the shoulder bag from what I can tell from some research it has the marks of a genuine one that would have been £100. so a good deal and find on my birthday.
People supporting fakes because "I don't have dem money". Then just buy things you can actually afford instead of trying to look cool with fake products.
I prefer the real one, because of the Arctic Foxes, but if you don't have enough money, the fake one is not bad at all. When I was in Sweden, I actually wanted to buy a real one, but its price was 1100 kr and I had only 900 kr left.
kanken just made an update on them backpacks with the white message inside i actually bought an original one in 2017 in NYC on their official store and it doesnt have the Royal Court of Sweden logo it is exactly like the black one, but this is a cool video btw
i WONHOrt U as far as i know you can’t really wash the real kanken either. You just have to use wipes. Because washing it will ruin the colour. I knew this from the store guy where i got mine.
just bought a fake one, i'm really happy with it, it barely has any differences from the original one. here in brazil they are super expensive and i could never afford it so that's why i got the fake one. if you have the money buy the original tho cause it's more eco friendly and it's a very nice company to support

This is when I find out that the Kanken I bought secondhand was a fake all along. Its been like 6 years, lol! I wont get rid of it since than would be wasteful but I have been interested in getting a larger size so I’ll make sure that’s authentic this time around.
I have a really great fake as well, it's absolutely similar to the original, it was 65 dollars for me, and, knowing that it's fake, this backpack has an amazing quality and I absolutely satisfied xd
I think the fake one is a réplica of and older version. I have an original kanken (from an oficial store) from 2016, and The fake one is really similar to it: My kanken's original Tag was just like The fake's one. The contact label si really similar too, mine doesnt have The shield this original version has. And mine didn't have that round sticker in the inside either. Edit: also some people here said the older version has The slimmer font too.
Back in 2014 I payed 55 USD for my original Kränken. I just got a new original one and payed 100 AUD which is around 75 USD and that was the SALE price. I hate when something gets more expensive because it‘s trendy.
I really love my backpacks, although they are fakes, I know that they are not worse than the original. By the way, I have three backpacks and they cost less than one original. 💫🍃
Comprei a fake sem saber, mas mesmo assim, a imitação é muito bem feita. Moro no Brasil, as mochilas dessa marca aqui são muito caras ( em torno de 900 reais ou mais).
I got a fake one out of curiosity, I always liked the design but couldn’t justify spending so much on such a basic and cheaply made backpack. The one that I got gets almost everything right, the main difference is that the buttons are not centred on the straps and the labels use slightly thinner fonts. Everything else is pretty much spot on (at least visually, can’t comment on longevity etc.). I’ve paid a little over £6 for it. At this point if you want to make sure that you’re getting the real one you should probably get it directly from Fjallraven considering how close the fakes are.
my sister got me a fake kanken a couple months ago, before i got my real one for christmas my mum couldn’t tell the difference, although i could, i’m never going to use it which is a shame but it’s the colour that’s the only problem, it’s BRIGHT yellow and i really don’t like it, if she had gotten a different colour it would’ve been amazing though bc she also got a mini mint green one and it is beautiful
The differences in the text of the inside contact info and the logo's tildes in the name are not because of a fail in the fabricant, but because the fake one has the format it used to have the colection that went out before than the colection when your real kanken was dropped
I’ve had one for about 2 years now and after watching this video… I’ve had a fake one this whole entire time!!! There are no signs of wear or de stitching at all!! I’m really surprised.

Is it worth it to get the fake kanken I really want a kanken but it’s 100 dollars and my budget is up to 34 dollars
It's really worth saving up for the bag. I can put a lot of stuff in without my back hurting.
Mellory Lopes yeah, I can fit 2 binders, 2 folders, a water bottle, my pencil case, and my lunch box.
I have the fake one but you won't notice any difference. It's like the original one
Just get the original and support the brand. It's worth it to save up.
Get the fake one!! No one will notice
it’s sad how someone creates a knock-off brand to make money, when the original one is just trying to make the world a better place
When the original is so expensive that i can feed myself for an entire week with same amount of money. Knock offs are for poor people not all of us can afford to buy a bag.
@@zencefil8 the knock-off is most likely made in a sweatshop by a child who’s salary won’t provide them to eat for a week anyway. not to mention the fact how the low quality bag is gonna get thrown away very quickly and it will just become polluting garbage. you’re not required to purchase a kanken if you can’t afford to anyway
@@marikaubi8509 we usually don’t go to a store and be like i want a cheap knock off kanken. We go to buy cheap stuff and choose what we find nice and kankens sure looks nice. And no we don’t throw it away lol. We use it for years. It’s not our responsibility to save the planet or not support fast fashion when we are trying to afford to live in the first place. That’s rich people’s job to do. Go tell that to privileged people.
@@zencefil8 when i said that it's gonna get thrown away, i obviously meant that since its cheap fast fashion, it's going to get damaged with high usage. such things will probably last for only a year or so. everybody knows that their production quality is extremely low. and can you actually hear what you're saying? saving the planet is EVERYONE'S responsibility since everyone has a carbon footprint. it just depends on how much you can do and avoiding fast fashion/overconsumption is the least an average person can do.
@@marikaubi8509 I CAN’T AVOID FAST FASHION BRUHHHHH. I CAN’T AFFORD OTHER BRANDS. I LITERALLY GO FOR CLOTHES SHOPPING ONCE IN 5 YEARSSSSS. And oh don’t worry those things we buy does last for years. They don’t get thrown away unless they are unrepairable. and no when i say saving the planet i meant the the side affects of the fast fashion not straight up littering the planet in every way. I am cautious about that except the things i can’t afford. That’s all :)
These fakes a pretty good quality, but if you have the money I’d say get the original one. Kanken is an eco friendly and the quality is great, so I don’t think they are overpriced just for the sake of exclusivity.
I have a fake and a real one 🤷🏼♀️ but i like both 💕
I had experience with a fake backpack.
This cardboard "tag" attached to the handle of the backpack is made as you show in the fake backpack, but the rest looks as you showed in the original.
i got mine off amazon and it def ain’t fake ✨🧚🏻♀️ mine is in the color warm yellow 🦋
Definitely serves me right for buying a 15" laptop Kanken for $50 online, but I'm still disappointed that I'm finding out now that it's a fake! Oh well, it's still a good backpack
honestly it’s so easy for a kanken owner to find a fake 😂
yall should mind your business
Liv - you should stop buying fake shit and actually support the designers
@@Silent. Not all us can afford to pay £90-£120 for a bag, if y'all actually pay that much for a bag you're just moronic.
@@evemae5716 the original backpack is eco friendly and supports the arctic foxes and so on. just because it is cheaper doesnt mean you should buy it. I bought a fake one for $80 because i thought it was the real website, and the string on the backpack is coming unraveled, the fabric is not half as good quality as the original, and more
amelia perry what website did you bUy your on
Wish I bought a real kanken instead of trying to get a cheaper one on poshmark...paid 65 dollars for a FAKE and the seller said it was real 😭😭😭
Mines real but I didn’t expect kanken to have a kinda stiff material I thought it was gonna be like thin material
You can just use (i dont really know how it is called, maybe Wax) so you can make your backpack water proof again)))
Give them couple months. They will perfect the art of knock off just like most popular brands.
I’m annoyed, but I don’t really mind at this point since it still works. I only needed it to fit my books, anyway.
In love with it!
where did you get it from
I have a fake one but honestly before watching this video I though it was a real one. He is very cool actually. So LET'S BUY SOME FAKE KAKEN BACKPACKS!
(it's was £20 so it's fucking sure it's a fake one 😭)
You have the older version
Noice, glad to see most of the girls at my school have a fake one. Was getting a bit concerned that everyone was spending over $100 on a bag just to be trendy haha
Is it really pathetic to buy an item expensive for a good reason (environment, sustainability, fair trade etc.) rather than faking being eco friendly?
Angelika Skoroszyn or you can donate the money for some eco companies
I got one at the mall for 5000pessos/80 dollars but everything was hella simillar to the fake except for the font and sticker perhaps yours was a newer model i owned this for over a year!
Hi im filipino too and I really want one where'd you get yours??

*i would’ve been like hey, at least I GOT A KANKEN-*
Old version of kanken has thin text and other zip tag, new kanken has thick text. I have 2 kankens, one older and i buy both backpacks at original page :)
Actually the classic kanken cost likee 80$
Verdunia if u get the mini but the classic is 100 and large is even more so unless u want the mini that if FALSE:)
itz.Zohee if you look it up on the website, it actually IS $80 usd
@@mystyy5422 That's not true. The bigger kanken is 100 but the mini is like 70 dollars. The classic is 80 dollars.
In case you didn’t know, I’m pretty sure that you can by waterproofing to put in your washing machine so it doesn’t wash off the coating
i accidentally bought a fake one bc I thought it was real so now I'm just gonna watch these videos until my dupe gets here lol
Thank you! Someone was selling a fake kanken on Facebook marketplace and i couldn’t tell if it was real or not
After seeing this the fake is just as good. The waterproof material sold me! $100 is too much for a backpack that has no structure or inside pockets. If it was a Northface, I could see spending a $100.
Marie Just Marie YOURE THE WHOLESOME GRANNY I WATCH WHEN IM SAD WJJSJWHWWJSHW
The actual website has the same backpack label inside as the fake one . So is that a fake website?
I only use mine for school trips etc.
I use a normal backpack for school days.
I just got a black one for £20 from the charity shop, it looks brand new with no marks apart from some hair clips inside and is missing the seat pad and base pad. It's one that can be a backpack or an over the shoulder bag from what I can tell from some research it has the marks of a genuine one that would have been £100. so a good deal and find on my birthday.
this made me feel broke - I literally just got it today 😔
Don't say so ♥️
I loved this video, I bought the bag from a girl and she promised me it was original but now I'm sure it's not
Just wait until the real one goes on sale!
People supporting fakes because "I don't have dem money". Then just buy things you can actually afford instead of trying to look cool with fake products.
lmao the fake one looks original as waterproof so y’all better buy fake atleast your bag is waterproof
I prefer the real one, because of the Arctic Foxes, but if you don't have enough money, the fake one is not bad at all. When I was in Sweden, I actually wanted to buy a real one, but its price was 1100 kr and I had only 900 kr left.
So , I have the original . Thank u
kanken just made an update on them backpacks with the white message inside i actually bought an original one in 2017 in NYC on their official store and it doesnt have the Royal Court of Sweden logo it is exactly like the black one, but this is a cool video btw
I got a fake kanken. It was waterproof until I washed it. :')
i WONHOrt U as far as i know you can’t really wash the real kanken either. You just have to use wipes. Because washing it will ruin the colour. I knew this from the store guy where i got mine.
@@githaputri3051 I saw in a video too so I washed my kanken lwith caution and guidance, but it still lost its waterproof quality :')
i WONHOrt U where did you buy it omg
I bought mine in a site called Shopee.

just bought a fake one, i'm really happy with it, it barely has any differences from the original one. here in brazil they are super expensive and i could never afford it so that's why i got the fake one. if you have the money buy the original tho cause it's more eco friendly and it's a very nice company to support
I got a new art series kanken from the website but I decided to just check if it was real or not using this vid! It is! Thanks! 😊
Same ! But I bought it for $50 and the number for the art is "23610" on my tag ( the chinese one ) , but on my bag it's says : ''23510" . I told the seller if it was real and the seller says : "our bag is original don't worry" , "sometimes supplier tag is wrong maybe" . Please help me because idk my Kånken Art is real or fake .

I just bought 3 Kankens for merely $10 at a thrift shop here in the Philippines. Fingers crossed that these are at least legit, but doesn't matter anyway if these are fake.
Why am I watching this i got mine at the official website what
This is when I find out that the Kanken I bought secondhand was a fake all along. Its been like 6 years, lol! I wont get rid of it since than would be wasteful but I have been interested in getting a larger size so I’ll make sure that’s authentic this time around.
I like how you edited this
thank you!
I have a really great fake as well, it's absolutely similar to the original, it was 65 dollars for me, and, knowing that it's fake, this backpack has an amazing quality and I absolutely satisfied xd
Um I think you mixed up the pictures because won the website the real ones looked liked the ones you labeled as fake
I think the fake one is a réplica of and older version. I have an original kanken (from an oficial store) from 2016, and The fake one is really similar to it:
My kanken's original Tag was just like The fake's one.
The contact label si really similar too, mine doesnt have The shield this original version has.
And mine didn't have that round sticker in the inside either.
Edit: also some people here said the older version has The slimmer font too.
Me:*wanting a kan ken bag but to broke*
Also Me: Lets go get the fake one-
It takes 1 second to see a fake watching the dots on the letters A
I'm literally getting the fake one cuz I'm broke.
Back in 2014 I payed 55 USD for my original Kränken. I just got a new original one and payed 100 AUD which is around 75 USD and that was the SALE price. I hate when something gets more expensive because it‘s trendy.
"When something gets more expensive because it's trendy"
This is the basic rule of economics.
Thnxx now I know that my kanken bagpak original is
I really love my backpacks, although they are fakes, I know that they are not worse than the original. By the way, I have three backpacks and they cost less than one original. 💫🍃
Hooray mines real I literally bought it of the website obi it is 😂
Comprei a fake sem saber, mas mesmo assim, a imitação é muito bem feita. Moro no Brasil, as mochilas dessa marca aqui são muito caras ( em torno de 900 reais ou mais).
What I learned from this video, is that you might as well buy a fake Kanken bag
Disgusting
I got a fake one out of curiosity, I always liked the design but couldn’t justify spending so much on such a basic and cheaply made backpack. The one that I got gets almost everything right, the main difference is that the buttons are not centred on the straps and the labels use slightly thinner fonts. Everything else is pretty much spot on (at least visually, can’t comment on longevity etc.). I’ve paid a little over £6 for it. At this point if you want to make sure that you’re getting the real one you should probably get it directly from Fjallraven considering how close the fakes are.
Just realising my 80 dollar kanken is fake 😂😂
my sister got me a fake kanken a couple months ago, before i got my real one for christmas my mum couldn’t tell the difference, although i could, i’m never going to use it which is a shame but it’s the colour that’s the only problem, it’s BRIGHT yellow and i really don’t like it, if she had gotten a different colour it would’ve been amazing though bc she also got a mini mint green one and it is beautiful
Now i know, my kånken is real. :)
I bought a fake abroad for £10 and even though it’s clearly not as good quality, it’s holding up really well and you can’t tell just by looking
I have a fake Kånken mini and it work perfectly well and it is much cheaper so i would recommend Buying a fake for a much lower Price
Laura Regazzoni fake is for kids what want only flex, buy cheaper brand
The differences in the text of the inside contact info and the logo's tildes in the name are not because of a fail in the fabricant, but because the fake one has the format it used to have the colection that went out before than the colection when your real kanken was dropped
Sis imma buy the real one but it cost RM419 ( $100.72 )and up-
I'mma save my money real quick af boi-
I’ve had one for about 2 years now and after watching this video… I’ve had a fake one this whole entire time!!! There are no signs of wear or de stitching at all!! I’m really surprised.
love this video 😂
The best way to tell is from the zipper. In a real kanken the zipper is always hemmed.
oh my god, it's all the same!
Fake : String keep coming out
Flimsy
zip is so smooth that it cannot stay in place
Real: No string come out.
non-flimsy
zip is also smooth but stay in place
