No other singer has ever had such breath control. Unique and unsurpassed.
No other singer can float high notes soft or loud like Caballe could. She was just unbelievable with this singing!
Magnificent!!!! She had no peer and no one could produce that perfect sound whit power and delicacy. Every voice is different and the range of their individuality is endlessly intriguing. However was consistent and her voice was most definitely feminine. She was second to none and impeccable at her most ordinary but sublime and transcendent at her best.
Such great technique, and what's greater of it is how effortless it sounds, no sign of short of breath at all, these long notes really become the music itself and not standing out strangely by itself, that is the beauty of it..

thanks for putting these together! we know there's a "la divina" (callas), and there's a "la stupenda" (sutherland), and other great sopranos... but as far as "pianissimo" goes, i think caballe tops them all. her breath control is just superb!

At :18 she held the beautiful pianissimo for 20 seconds. She had no equal when it came to breath control. Not to mention her beautiful voice. Thank you so much for posting Sincerly Arnold Bourbon Amaral

Era una maestra en la técnica del apoyo y el sostenimiento de una nota en todos los tipos de dinámica, desde el fortissimo, al pianissimo, pasando por el vibrato o el trémolo. Inigualable.

Best ever: Don Carlos and Norma! Full power and vocal stamina. If PPP singing is difficult, round and fully-fleshed FFF are also difficult to belt out in a large auditorium. Now soprani use mikes (most of them) or amplification! Gone are the days ...
