Nope ! I rather grow my own hair and just wear clip-ins or sew-ins. I don’t trust that sticky tape on my hair repeatedly over time I think it wears on the strength of the hair.
As a stylist of 20 plus years …Actually you’re wrong. Tape ins are very light weight and the clip ins/sew ins actually puts more stress on the hair. It’s the quality of the hair /length that you’re paying for which is reusable several times and then the process for the service properly installed. And it’s the look of it being natural looking and not looking like cheap Barbie doll hair. It’s ok for you to not want that look or invest in that service but definitely don’t speak against something you don’t know about💁🏽♀️ . Just say it’s beautiful but you wouldn’t pay it. Y’all love putting down other women ugh.

yeah except lace front wigs are protective...and tapes, well. I had mine done by a proper professional - no obvious damage, couldn't even see hair strands on the tape when removing except over time my hair was deffo thinning out, I had to stop because It was BAD eventually. It looks so good tho. So ima stick to weaves now with ventilated 'leave out'
To answer the question, I personally would not spend $1,500 to do my hair in general mainly because I can’t afford it. Some people can afford it and I think that is also fine. I’m not sure how much I would be willing to pay to do something of this nature because I don’t know what’s making it cost so much or the duration of it. Nevertheless, the outcome was great and I really liked it!

Agreed, the price is outrageous and the actual install is not as time consuming as micro links. No color highlights, no trim, etc. I’m curious to know what is all included I can see it’s wash, prep,install,(hair included),style .(1k for service & 500 for hair)

Absolutely DIVINE but not $1500. I paid that kind of money for a weave in the 90s when Janet Jackson's Control album hit. I had my hair just like hers from a renowned hairstylist in Manhattan. I was young, single, no children and used to getting what I wanted and even then, it was too much looking back at it now.
Back in the day we used to spend that type of dough and we were pretty much guaranteed exclusivity meaning everybody and their grandma didn’t have the same style you didn’t see the technique all over the internet. You paid good money and it looked like it and no one else could replicate it on that level.

This young lady already has a very nice head of hair tue stylist just basically glued a bundle of tracks in with plenty of leave out except she used tape or clip ins. If I were like a public figure, influencer, or it was very important for me to rock these type of styles to elevate my look and separate myself from everyone else wearing wigs maybe… but I personally feel I could do this myself.
You always do an amazing job and yes I would pay the $1500.00. The one down side is the person being able to properly maintain it without hair breakage. A maintenance plan would be feasible for me because the technique is unmatched and deserves proper care ☺️
We definitely consult and educate our clients of all the do's and don'ts of every install we provide to ensure their hair maintains its integrity in salon and at home❤️

Sadly i dont even know what a $1,500 style is supposed to look like. I honestly cant justify spending that much money on a style. Idk maybe if the stylist included hair treatments , bundle deal and a sit down upkeep suggestions. It definitely would be for the overall “experience” not just the style that would need maintenance in two weeks.
Her hair is beautiful but I think stylist sometimes is getting ridiculous with these prices $1500 heck I think $600 is a lot for that . This why it's so many people practicing and learning how to do hair at home. Her hair looks nice again.

But we are a full service salon that continuously invest in our craft by extending our education and bringing the latest and newest trends to our clients while always maintaining our clients hair. I worked at a white salon where she did these for her clientele. She let them know how much the hair was and made them put down a deposit for that specifically but she charged them $350 for install and if they needed color to match they had to come in and have done an appointment before. The hair must have been expensive because she charged them as like a regular install.

Not for 1500
It’s beautiful, and it’s a lot of time. But anyone can do that themselves. I made clips ins for my then 16 year old daughter 10 years ago, before they became a thing. Family and friends stay asking me to do their clip/tape ins, even though I am not a beautician. I Am just good at doing hair. $1500 is way to much, even with the hair included. I don’t care what part of the world one lives.
I would definitely pay $1,500. It goes deeper than the hairstyle, it’s the feeling and confidence you’re going to have after especially knowing how you’ve invested into yourself. Top of the line self-care and self-love. I’ll do everything thing to take care of myself, I love me!

It depends on how long it lasts. If it last longer than braids, yes I will. I’ll get it every fall or winter because I won’t have to worry about my hair reverting bk from the humidity😁.
Last 6 to 12 weeks and takes much more maintenance than braids but the look will always give. 💕
Nah. I braid my real hair under my wigs, oil them daily 3-4x a week then spray on leave in conditioner daily. I let my braids stay in for 6-7 months at a time yearly I do this, when that mark is due I do a full braid takedown then of course wash, deep conditioner, moisturize it, and re-braid it to continue the process. I do wash my braids bi-weekly as well when it’s braided, I have easy lace wigs/or headband wigs that’s cut that I switch up styles. I get one relaxer a year to. My hair has grown so full, long, and thick. I’m not stopping until my hair is down my back. This pretty though no lie.

I started doing hair at 9yrs old, started doing my own hair at 12yrs old off and on if my mom didnt do it I was in someones chair and she was paying for 3 heads her my sister and myself yall do the math. At 15 I went full time mode doing my own hair and picking up my own clients I learned everything from my mom or taught myself and I do t care how great I am 1500 is just crazy because you have a fan base and support system who can't afford those prices. Which is why even still to this day at 33 I still do my own hair braids, sew-ins you name it and if I don't know baby youtube is my best friend. Great job been following your work for a few years now and I would never pay this much for any style.

IV installed tape in extensions many times, it's the hair that cost the most. I would help my clients pick the hair out at a beauty supply store so we can see , compare & feel the hair....then go back & install the extensions, it's so easy to install & I would always recommend the lotion & shampoo to loosen the adhesive & keep the hair healthy when they were ready to take out. I had a few that would come for a maintenance before they were ready. I personally don't charge that much.... everyone is different( some want straight thin look, others want lots of volume & extensions added & the more extents of course the more they spend........I don't supply the hair unless its a braid wig I hand created )
I think the $1500 is worth it depending on the maintenance, everything looks good fresh out the salon. If it’s minimal maintenance ( meaning -tie it up, sleep, wake up and brush ) then it’s worth it for 3 months because it is absolutely beautiful
Thank you! It does require maintenance but it’s also a very natural look that’s looks amazing down, up in a ponytail, bun, half up half down and in it’s natural curly state. It’s a win win to me ❤️

For me it depends on how much I can reuse the tape-ins because that’s where most of the cost is (in the hair not the service). Does the tape remain “sticky” enough to reuse or is that an added expense with the next installs?
Once you remover then tape you will need to clean and add new tape to the hair which is probably and additional $15 for a full head of replacement tape.
Is it 1500 every visit? How much would subsequent visits be, if not? I have locs, I'm not asking for me, I'm just curious about the pricing.
$200 is my max and these days even that is pushing it since I’m over the style within 3 weeks.

My hair didn’t respond well to tape ins because of the pulling and tugging that can occasionally happen when you wear it in certain styles but this is beautiful, just a bit pricey lol
Hey love!! We conduct a thorough consultation with our clients explaining the dos and don’ts with all of our installs. Unfortunately if your hair didn’t respond well it was due to the stylist not educating you on how to maintain them or either it was installed, maintained or removed incorrectly. I hate that happened because it gives a bad representation of tape extensions
