I have an 04 clk55 coupe and it is easily the coolest car I've ever owned. Every time i go a few weeks without driving it I am pleasantly reminded of what a finely tuned and well balanced machine it is. It's like a German mustang with a more refined engine sound and much better styling.

The CLK is increasing In value! Well kept unites will become an investment overtime!!
One of the most beautiful and well balanced cars ever made. The following E coupe lost the sportiness of de w209 and became a boring high end coupe.
What made the CLK so special was that there where racing versions of it, and the CLK DTM is one of the most beautiful examples of this.
    I got myself a 350, 2008. Love the car

As an owner of a CLK350 Sport Cabriolet, I would suggest to any aspiring owners to go for the V8.
Not much difference in running costs if you are using it as a weekender.
And of course the V8 just sounds better.
I’m currently eyeing up a CLK500 Sport 5.5 that I spotted. I’d need to sell my 350 but I have had her for so long and never given any major issues.
Prices are low still but climbing. Decisions , decisions….😀😀

And v6 motors have balance shaft issue, I personally won't get any mercedes after 2005 because of the intake swirl flap actuator breaking and needing to spend about a thousand usd for the entire intake, the clk 99 is still a winner today even tho it's got minimal issues

I bought a 2007 CLK 280 Cabriolet Sport ltd edition AMG package in fabulous condition at 84k miles just at the point of first covid lockdown as I figured we wouldn't be flying on holiday for a long time and wanted to have local little holidays be more fun.
I've done about 8 thousand leisure miles in it and it's been a joy. It feels classy, it's great to go for a day out or weekend away for 4 (packing lightly!). Using the paddle shifters I can get great manual-like acceleration. Suspension is pretty sporty even in Comfort mode and rough road surfaces are a touch harsh.
Aside from regular servicing I had to fix a faulty coil, a failed siren and replace broken wiper linkage. Using independent specialist not too bad. I've got full Mercedes servicing which I'm going to keep up.
There a strong possibility lovely looking examples that are well-maintained will rise further as time goes on. It does 30MPG if relaxed, it is ULEZ (low emission zone) compliant.
great buy if you can pick a good one that's been well maintained.
