You are an amazing woman. You encourage others. God Bless you and your family.
With all you have to deal with ,it's unfair that you still have pain .I know that pain I deal with it everyday . The exception is I can still move around . It's crazy that the brain has to deal with that pain even though your bottom half can't feel in a way.
God bless you for being a strong woman who has your faith to help you
Please lord lessen that pain she has to go through . 💖🙏
JONI IS A TESTIMONY
Amen Karen amen
God Bless You. And prayers
You are a strong and courageous lady 🙏💖💖💖💖💖
Yes God Bless you Joni& you Inspire me & Pray you Have less Pain too!! That's hard to deal with!! Your in my Prayers Joni 💕
❤ you Joni! What a beautiful spirit!
This lady is really a blessing. I used to listen to her on the radio with Some of her short stories, and they are amazing. Sometimes I forget how others like her are going through a lot more than what I go through in one day. She has to go through this 24/7 365 days a year. She has been discouraged many many times, but has overcome it with the help and grace of God. May God bless her and her ministry.
I remember reading a story or book about you years ago. I am 63 now. You are a spiritual treasure. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. You are a shining reminder that the Lord can lift us up in all situations. 🥰
Love you Joni.
Hardships can forge you or break you. Be like this woman, choose strength.
I suffer from neuropathic pain from an injury to my right knee. They call it Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. I also take meds for it. I also have fibromyalgia. The meds help and I had hip replacement surgery last February. My faith in Jesus gives me strength through Jesus Christ .Philippines 4:13 is my life verse. You also inspire me.
She chose God and that is where her strength comes from!
People can't choose how they react to trauma. If it was that easy no one would be broken from it
Oh, ppl just say, "Be brave, be strong, don't let it get you down", etc, so they can give themselves an excuse to not help you.
It like the ppl who say to homeless ppl, "I'll pray for you." Really? The person is cold, hungry, or wo shelter and that's what you do for them?
Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back for being such a good Christian. 😠
You are a warrior and although you have wounds and pain you are a strong and wonderful woman . I read one of your first books a long time ago which totally changed my concept of heaven ❤
You are an inspiration Joni. My dad painted by mouth, and he too used his biceps like you use. He, too, had pain. Always felt so sad for his life. He was my hero. Thank God he is free of pain now. ❤
Are South African, perhaps? I knew many Engelbrechs growing up in Namaqualand.
I'm sure your Dad was blessed in many other ways! Starting with his loving family and especially the love of his children. Rest easy as he is at peace and watches over you, hoping you're having a great & appreciated, precious life...❤️🙏🏻
Yes. Surely yes.
God Bless you and continue to comfort you! I’m sure your father was amazing! We won’t know and understand until we are w/Jesus, why these things were allowed to happen. And then we will understand! It’s so sad, and we always hold out hope for healing, but soon and very soon, if we know Christ, we Will understand! And give Glory to our King! God Bless Joni! She has suffered long, but what a beautiful person, a beautiful example of trusting and hoping in God! She has never wavered! I hope she has lived a full and blest life since her accident so long ago. She’s such an inspiration as I’m sure your beloved father was! May God bless you and comfort you!🌸♥️
Belov-ed Sister thru Christ, I greet you with a kiss from me and our Lord, I am a little bit older than you..a year or 2. When my mother told me of this teen who was paralyzed from diving...I wept silently, immediately ! I was a high diver...into a local quarry that flooded. You have been in my prayers ALL my life! I no longer high dive. Your story is INCREDIBLE The next dive I made, about 28 feet up, I got the jitters. It was my last high dive. 😢. You are a fabulous inspiration to me ❤thru the years Your love of God is healing ! I'll be looking for YOU in heaven, where we can walk the shores of Galilee . Luv you Joni. !
We love you, Joni. You are such a wonderful example of loving and serving the Lord through hardships. I cannot imagine. ❤️
Your story has been in my head since I was 12 years old and read your book! Not two weeks ago I talked to my daughter about how reading it changed my life! Thank you Joni❤❤❤❤
When I was a little girl (56 now) my mom would read a chapter of your story to our whole family. We couldn’t wait till the next chapter. A real core & inspirational memory for me. ❤️
I've just stumbled on this terrific woman - who is she? What's her book called? Thanks.
Joni Erikson Tada. She is amazing, and her God is even MORE amazing!
Not sure the book she's referring to.
@@gulliblestravels71Joni Eareckson Tada
You are such an inspiration and just what I wanted to hear about. I am in a wheelchair now due to weakness and severe pain for the last 4 years.
@gulliblestravels71 the woman that you asked for her name is Johnny eareckson tada. There is a movie about her life. She is a prolific writer and dynamic public speaker she is paralyzed due to a diving accident when she was a teenager. Oh, and by the way she is an accomplished Artist as well. She. Oh, and by the way she is an accomplished Artist as well. She paints by holding the brush in her teeth!❤
You’re such an inspiration. I really get encouraged seeing your faith in our Lord !
May He keep blessing you and keeping you,
Greetings from Geneva Switzerland 🇨🇭
You have a wonderful attitude. I have had lupus for 35 years and I am getting a bit frustrated. I hope I can become positive again like you.❤
Dear Joni- For years, I would leave copies of your amazing pamphlet, "Joni Eareckson Tada- Her Story," on college campuses.
You have shared your struggle through the journey and the Gospel with millions of people who have been so blessed by your testimony.
Thank you & God bless you!
Oh Joni. I love you so much. Thank you for the reminder to pray for you and the pain you ensure. I have followed your journey for over 40 years. I was a new believer when precious friends took me and my husband to see your movie “Joni” when it was first released in movie theaters. We purchased it on video and as new believers, we showed every unsaved and saved friend. Your testimony still touches my heart. The way God has used you, makes me praise God and glorify His holy name. Thank you 😢❣️

Joni, I’m 71 years old and I have always been so fond of you and your writing and messages . I fell in love with your book, Diamonds in the Dust, years ago that I bought fifty and gave as gifts. My sister died at 45 years old with MS in a wheelchair. She was my best friend. She use to call me TADA my name is Ada. I also read your book Holiness in Hidden Places. You are an inspiration to us all.
God bless you and I am praying for you.
I'm 55 years old..... My teacher read your story to us.When I was in 7th or 8th grade at school... I was touched by your story then.
You are still alive and inspiring people of this nation.... We are all touched by your faith...
You are a national treasure Joni !

I'm praying for you dear Joni! You're a blessing to me! 🙏🏻✝️🩷
💙
Beautiful woman! I've been inspired by the movie about you when i was young, and also your short devotional stories, interviews etc. etc. You are a part of why I know Jesus today! I've been to 47 countries, sharing Jesus with my small influence in the world. Just yesterday i returned from 2 months in Colombia. I bring my guitar, write songs to Jesus in their language, and worship at coffee shops, in people's houses, where I'm staying, inviting people for dinner etc. So much love and grace has been shared back and forth, encouraging people that Jesus rose so we could walk (or roll) with Him again! Thank you for choosing to be an inspirational voice for Jesus. You have made a difference!
My mom was a polio survivor, passed in 2012. She (we) had the greatest respect for you and your ministry she read all your books. I'm praying for you. Blessings
I wrote a monologue in my senior year from your book, Joni, in 1979. I performed it at school. It was the only presentation that glorified God. Thank you sister.
What a beautiful thing ❤ thank you for sharing m
God bless you, friend! In case no one has told you today Jesus loves you very much and He made you very special. He will provide for you and He has a plan for you in work! ❤️
Unfortunately, that would probably NOT even be Allowed in this day-- giving Glory to God at a high school 😢
@@katbunn957there's not a classroom in the entire Western world that would ban that
You’ve blessed us for decades dear heart. ❤️ We will
I am 65 years old and have known you for a long time ❤️ I praise God for your life and testimony!! May God continue to bless you as you shine for Him, I love you Joni!! 🙏🙌😎
You're an inspiration to millions of people! You turned lemons into lemonade! God bless you and your ministry! Hallelujah ❤
God bless you each and every day, Joni, with endurance that blocks all sensations of pain anywhere in your body. You SO deserve relief, more than anyone I know…
If you look around, there are people with severe sicknesses adding one on another. One lady came to our church..
Love you Joni! My sister introduced me to an album you did back in the late 70’s I think. I played it over and over again. It really ministered to me ❤You are such an inspiration! I know one day you will be healed!
What is her full name and what albums...I am sure your not talking about Joni Mitchell as she is not paralyzed.
Joni said one time. "When i get to heaven, i'm not looking forward to a new body, but a new heart!" She wants a heart that's loving and forgiving like Jesus!
Spirit Wings
Yes, probably the same album I played on my cassette deck on repeat in the 80s. And they still take up deserved space in my head, playing away unconsciously.
@@erikafreebird6449 Not Joni Mitchell. This lady was Joni Earickson before she got married and became Earickson Tada.
I came back to spell her surname properly.
I have fractured my right leg ankle, l was feeling so down, but after listening to your testimony. It lifted me up.May God's bless you abundantly. May God be with us. 🙏
Ms. Earackson-Tada. You have no idea who I am yet I have prayed for you most days of my life. For years. Since at least 1985 when I first read your story. We have the same birthday and God put you firmly on my heart. I am so grateful for you, and to come across you here. In my life, you made and make a difference. God works in mysterious ways.
Joni, I was just a little kid back in the 70's when I heard your story and my parents got me your autobiography as a birthday gift and we went to see the movie at church. You have always been such an inspiration! My uncle was a quadriplegic after a tractor trailer accident so we knew personally some of the struggles he and you faced. Thank you for sharing!
You are in my prayers always! May the Lord continue to hold you and strengthen you and Ken daily and you touch so many lives for Him! Bless you! ❤
🙏🙏🙏🙏💜
I’m a man dealing with severe pain and fatigue from R/A your words and the way you delivered them is very refreshing! Kudos
Bless you. I had an uncle , who in his 20’s, became paralyzed from the neck down due to a car wreck. My aunt married him in his 30’s . Although confined to a wheelchair his whole life, he was able to have a career in computers and even drove a specially made car. He even went on business trips by himself. He was an amazing person. Keeping you in my prayers!
I love you Joni girl! I was young and had a horse accident about the same time as you had your diving accident. I worked at the first showing of your movie, years ago. I love and appreciated your story so much. I understood most of your emotions because of my own injuries and pain. I am 81 years old now and dealing with new issues but I thank The Lord for the message you placed in my heart. I still love you sweet girl! Blessings, love and prayers 🤗💗🙏😘
You are so sweet Joni.
You show us how to draw on the Lords strength.
Thankyou for being so encouraging to us all despite your pain❤️🙏🏻✝️🌼😇
When I was at Grand Canyon University you came and spoke at one of our chapels. I had been raised in a Word of Faith “church” that taught the health and wealth “gospel” so I walked out completely bad mouthing you. I know you probably won’t see this but I am so sorry. I got save a few years later and want you to know how inspired I am by you and your story. Praise God for His work in and through you. Praying for you and cannot wait to meet you at the marriage feast of the lamb!
Joni you are the bravest, toughest woman I’ve heard of
all these years. May God continue to bless you in your ministry & also in your family
life.😊❤
You are a remarkable lady to have such a positive attitude. I am diabetic and have that chronic pain in my hands that is destroying my motor skills. I constantly have to remind myself to be thankful for what abilities I do have. Thank you for your inspiring words. Many blessings.
Joni is always blessed to hear how God allows her to encourage others - whether it's through her life in a wheelchair, her words or her joy! Our hearts go out to you as you face the hardships that can come with disability.
In 1983, I broke C3/C4. For years, my family were members of a horse riding club in Maryland. Joni, you were known in this group. Someone shared your story with me. You have been an inspiration to me all these years. I am happily surprised seeing you come up on my feeds this morning. Thank you 🙏 ❤
I'm turning 60 in May, and I remember hearing about you as a teen in our church. Growing up on an island where we swam like fishes and went to church every Sunday, your story made a lifetime impression on me. I've also heard you on Dr. Dobson's Family Talk, but this is the first time I've ever seen you. You're a beautiful lady Joni! 😊
Wow! Joni, my fifth grade teacher read your story to our class back in 1985!!!!! We were all riveted!!! It’s SO great to see you thriving!!!
You are a beautiful person and spirit! If I could be 50% of what you are. I read your book as a young woman, I'm 67 now, and I've never forgotten how your unwavering testimony of God's faithfulness and Grace carried you all through your suffering. ❤❤❤
What a blessing you are to the rest of us, you have a beautiful voice
You’re loved by everyone
What a beautiful person. I think I've seen you in the Gaither videos. Praying for you Sis.
I love her ! What an example of a great woman who never let her disability to stop her !

May God give you peace and bless you, I know Ms has to be hard , prayers for you hon 💕💕🙏🙏
And I m like you, I got to know her when I was a child, I read her book and still have it 😊
That's so great! I was finally baptised on October 15th just past. At age 48 I don't know why I'd waited so long. Raised in the faith but drifted away and back again.
Easter is such a beautiful time to get baptised, I'm sure it will be a very special day for you, as it will be in Heaven also as they rejoice. God Bless You. ✝️
Welcome home! ❤❤❤
Praying for you dear Joni. I know diabetic pains😢…
Tons of respect for this woman. May she be blessed in the afterlife with a healed and capable body!
You are a brave woman. I commend you for sharing your story to others. I’m absolutely certain there are so many people out there that you have helped. God Bless You Always 🙏🏻♥️✝️🌹
OH MY GIRL...I praise The Lord continually for your testimony Joni, I am miles removed from you, in Can( tho I am right now in Texas for winter months) and I have followed you for YEARS.. and I agree about pain, it also keeps us appealing and constant with The Lord God of Israel..
My goodness, i recognize your voice from the radio. Its so nice to put a face with that voice. You are an inspiration. God bless you. Prayers for you.
You really have the voice of a teacher or professor-you’re very well spoken, clear, and deliver information in an engaging way. Thank you for taking the time to educate!
You're an inspiration to COUNTLESS people. Praise God for your ministry
I have admired you since at least 1975, Joni. You’ve been quite an inspiration. Thank you and God Bless you.
I suffer with chronic neuropathy in my legs and feet and it's a pain like most don't understand. Very different and so hard to live with. You are in my prayers.
If I may suggest a long flat women's thin maxi pad some castor oil on the pad with cayenne pepper . Make sure it's enough for the bottom of your feet use gauze to secure it to your foot then put socks on for the night. That helps with neuropathy the next day and repeated as many times as you need it it does help .
( wash it off your feet every morning)
Same. I feel your pain. ❤
My son has this and he's finding it difficult to get medication to help. It's hard to see him in pain some days. He also holds down a full time job with a lot of responsibilities. That does take his mind off some of the severe, burning pain. ❤❤
Me too... But God gives us His grace 💕🥰
I'm so sorry
Thank you Joni for always encouraging others even when I’m sure you don’t feel like it . May God richly blessed you
You have inspired me since I read your book as a teenager. God bless you for your steady, faith-filled witness!
you are so open, Joni, thank you for setting the example for us to respond honestly to what must feel intrusive questions. May the good Father continue to uphold you and strengthen you in body, mind and spirit.
Praying for you and thanking God for you. Sending you my love❤
I read your story when I was a little girl . And it has never left Me . I think of Your Courage , Strength and Faith often .
Folks...this lady is a TRUE Christian!!!! Respect!!!!!😊
I love you Joni ♥️♥️
I took a gentleman to see you in Wisconsin years & years ago!
Mike he dove in a shallow lake just like you. My sister was his nurse. We didn’t know it at the time. He shared about his amazing incredible nurse Lisa who gave him hope. I found out later it was my Sister. You encouraged him beyond words that night. He too was paralyzed and despairing.
Your in my prayers 🙏🏻🙏🏻🦋🦋
I can’t wait to meet you in heaven where you will be dancing singing rejoicing swimming riding horses..
Beautiful Joni 🌹🌹
No more sorrow
No more Pain
Beautiful!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I watched your story when I was a kid. Now I'm an adult with MS. I struggle with nerve pain, too, and am encouraged by your faith in God to keep you going.

I learned of your injuries after an automobile wreck mu husband, sister & I were in, in 1978. A man ran a stop sign, & hit our car right at the driver's/my husband's door. He died instantly, & my sister and I were not expected to live through the night. Praise God, we lived. My sister had a broken collarbone, ruptured spleen & collapsed lungs. Both of my legs were broken, my jaw was broken, left side paralyzed, in a coma, & my face was badly cut from my husband's head slamming into mine (says the first responders). Thank God, I have no recollection of the wreck. God gave me a testimony that I can easily share & share Him with anyone. Before the wreck, I was too shy to do that. It was an answer to prayer! Joni, you showed me 2 Corinthians 12:9 - "For My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness!" His grace is sufficient, & He will carry us through anything with His peace that passes all understanding! Thank you, Joni, for sharing your amazing, blessed testimony with us. I've prayed for you since hearing about your accident! God bless you and your family always and all-ways!! ♥️🙏♥️
Bless you! You are amazing for still having faith and thankfulness for being in such a tough situation 🫶🏻
I pray for you to keep going till the Lord comes !! You are such a great witness sister Joni ❤
Thank you for sharing this video.i relate to your pain.
Sweet Sister❣️what a difference you have made in so many lives. Praise Jesus.
Thank you for having the patience to respond in this way! People always assume that their experiences are universal. Helping others learn that we all have different pain experience, disability experiences, etc is what the world needs to appreciate the differences we all have!
I have been blessed by Joni since the 80's; she is still blessing people!
God bless and keep you. You are an awesome blessing and example to us all. 💕
I am so sorry. I sympathize with you and pray that your pain is lessened. Blessings on you. 💙🙏💞🇺🇦
In a world where people love to be a victim, your spirit of gratitude is refreshing and inspiring. Blessings to you 💗

I read your story in high school. It pointted me in a God direction early on.I never forgot you. I'm 62 now, and have gone through many terrifying events and many surgeries. God has been faithful through it all. The best friend ever !. God bless ! ❤
Jesus did heal her, she doesn't believe it.
God bless this beautiful woman, and her incredible ability to inspire others.
Im convinced that people who have handicaps also have spiritual superpower. They are incredibly courageous, sweet hearted, kind, compassionate and full of love. God Bless you sweetheart ❤❤ you are a lovely and wonderful encouragement to ALL 🙏🙏
Joni,I have loved you for years. You are such a precious Christian woman. Your story & positive spirit & attitude have helped thousands of people who have also fractured their necks & are in wheelchairs. You are totally amazing. Such talent!! I wish you would do a card every year !!! Sell them through Church libraries!!! And of course @ Christian stores!God bless you & your husband❤❌⭕️🙏🏼🫶🏼🤝🏻🕊️🌹🌸🌺🌸

I read Joni's story decades ago as a youth, and it really impressed upon me the resilience of the human condition. Good to see her again!
Love you Joni..praying for you that you might have great endurance my sister …

My dear Joni, you've managed to raise yourself up from terrible trama and pain.
You are a living angel my friend. Your strength and inner light help others more fortunate with their bodies to realise how lucky and blessed they are.
Your super power is simply YOU. Your mind, determination and beautiful nature are the gifts you share with us. I am humbled by your words. You are in my prayers. Bless you and sending you healing vibrations. Love from Liverpool 🇬🇧.

She has so much understanding of her body. God bless her, take her pain away 🙏🏼.
A drunk driver left my sister quadriplegic. I’m so grateful to you for speaking up and educating people . ❤
Oh, Joni, I’m so thankful that prayers have kept you enduring your chronic pain. I have loved and admired you for so many years. You are such a constant inspiration to so many of us. ❤️🥰
Such a beautiful soul. Such a blessing. God is not wasting your suffering. You are brave and a living epistle for me 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Bless you dear lady. I grew up with a grandmother who was paralyzed and we would always go and help her with things that she could not handle herself. My grandpa was such a devoted husband and helped her with many things. I deal with chronic pain as well and I am so glad to have found a medication that helps keep the pain to a lower level. God bless you sweet lady.
Joni , I believe that Abba God allowed me to watch & hear this video regarding your back & nervous system w / pain ; I can only relate to the muscles in my back , etc , due to
sleeping on a mattress that causes pressure
points , tightness also I have osteopenia.
You have to go through so much more than
I have & it’s truly a miracle how Abba God
has sustained you & strengthened your faith
& to Know how to trust Him every day. I’m
truly grateful to God to remind me of how
you have overcome your health conditions
& have a ministry that He continues to guide you & minister to many lives . God bless you,
family & ministry ✝️🙏🏼❣️
Praying for you, Joni, may God continue to give you His Strength, His Comfort, His Encouragement, and also for Ken. 🙏🙏💕
Believe for your healing , Sweet Sister. I had a severe stroke that took my facial muscles, my left side and my ability to talk. I asked God to heal me in the hospital. He says never ask me to heal you again because I healed you on my son’s cross. Now he said thank me for your healing and tell your body what it needs to do. So that’s exactly what i did. And in 40 days you could not tell i had had a stroke! I listened to Him. I’m praying He will show you the path to your healing and you find faith for it. Praying. 🥰⭕️❌
I dont understand she has faith..why some are healed we dont know..even when Jesus walked the earth why he healed some and not others
Can't ever think someone's physical situation is a result of not having enough faith. Not how God operates. Yes, God heals, be it on earth OR in heaven.
That's a wonderful testimony and I'm sure that Joni appreciates your faith in God. If you research her testimony, you'll find that she spent some time in her life trying to be healed by faith, but it didn't happen. She has shared that God wanted her to learn to cope with her situation by learning to put her faith in God each day to get her through. Sometimes God heals us by faith, but sometimes He uses our situation to understand what others are going through so that we can encourage others who need it no matter where they are in life. Just as Paul asked to be healed of his infirmity and God let him know that His grace is sufficient, we too need to realize that even when God doesn't heal us the way that we want, His grace is sufficient.
I was just thinking about you this morning and now this little clip shows up on my RUclips feed. I pray that you will continue to endure but also that you will have a deep and growing awareness of the great love of our Father. That it will engulf you and your joy may flow out to all those who come into your orbit. You truly are an inspiration to others with complex health issues. God bless you my dear sister, much love from Australia.🙏💖🛐
Your life was such a wonderful testimony to me as a young man back in the 80's. I am blessed to watch this video of you now
