Having stood beside Joni at one of her often visits to a church I attended not far from her Maryland home. Her perseverence helped me get through times of tough facing facts and my choices that broke my spirit like her spine.

The world tell us to test-drive sex before marriage. But it's ALWAYS better to obey the Lord and wait until marriage, no matter what our physical or emotional challenges are. God bless you Mrs. Joni. You and God gives me the strength to remain positive. I deal with R. S. D and somedays I just wanna give up for the pain gets to me. I ruined a marriage of over 30 yrs and 2 sons that don't talk to me at this time due to getting addicted to the medication and lost control of everything. But listening to you and allowing Jesus and God in my heart I realize I can't give up for my story God has another chapter and a better life were he's leading me. Coming up on 1 yr in sobriety and in a Christian church and waiting to be baptized. My Pastor Tim Patrick gave me a book of yours and took off running with it. Me and my Pastor have a great relationship. You , him and God in my life keeps me praying and remaining positive and keeping the FAITH in Jesus. He's got a plan and my back. Please say a prayer for my Pastor, his wife is fighting cancer but I know GOD can move mountains. I thank you for helping me to remain positive. God Bless you and your family. Say a prayer for my wife and son's. God's not done with me, he's still writing my story. Thanks again and God bless you and Kenny.

So sorry Anastasia! Draw near to Jesus hon. Lots of love awaits you in the covert of His wings. "Pour out your heart before Him, for God is a refuge for us." I have suffered severely in my life sister, and been totally abandoned and rejected by family, husband everyone. I had no one for many many long years - but I drew near to Jesus. He has strengthened me and healed my heart of its sorrow. I am still alone but I do not carry the weight around that I used ot. I believe you should keep pressing in for your healing sister - find someone online with a genuine healing ministry. Love and a prayer.
Anastasia don’t be so hard on yourself. Jesus Christ came to earth to die for our sins. Because of his sinlessness he rose alive from the dead! Maybe it’s me Anastasia, but I don’t see anything bedazzling about this couple. These people that go on and on telling you that you need to get closer to Jesus don’t even appreciate his work on the cross on our behalf. Read the King James Bible just like the rest of us do. You’re not doing anything wrong except comparing yourself to this couple. Remember, we don’t see them when they’re far from their stage.

Joni taught me as a child through her actions that there really is no such thing as having a disability. Limitations yes, but not a disability. When I was about 10 I had a buddy in school who had downs syndrome, and we became good friends in school. He once told me, I can't help that I have a disability. I was born this way and I remember saying, you don't have a disability. Your fully capable of doing anything you put your mind to.......I'm pretty sure I was influenced by JonnI that time. Fast forward 30 years later, I have a daughter who has autism and I say the same thing to her. I tell her that she is fully capable of doing whatever she puts her mind to.

I was 13 yrs old, and was there in the choir. I'm reminiscing, especially now, the day after laying Billy to rest. I now live in NC, just an hour down the hill from Montreat. Thanks for the memories. I remember seeing your movie also. God Bless, hope to meet you soon, when Jesus shouts for us.

The Greatest Gift of your disability is to have to wake up every morning and know that you can do nothing by yourself! Total dependance on The Father is what allows you to become as a little child Worthy to Inherit The Keys to The Kingdom of Heaven! There are very, very few who have that Gift to hold on to!
