This is something we had to do a lot in karate training. We were running around in a circle and our sensei would throw a small plastic ball at us. No that's the wild variety/ancestor of all butlers. These are domesticated from all over the world but they are and cultivated in the Netherlands specifically.
@@Maria-kx1hk Yeah, although the most common butler found worldwide today is the Wineglass Butler, also known as the Mansion Butler, most commonly found in Mansions.
But who grows up to say “I dream of becoming a butler”... I always thought maybe it was more like a family thing. (My dad was a butler, my dads dad was a butler) something like that.
I was never into Batman our anime for a very long time but always told myself I wanted to be a butler in the future. The thought of serving and helping someone so they can find simple joy and peace without the menial labor of the Day sounded so nice...
I am a butler who serves in a rich family home for decades. My master is a filthy reach business man but has a kind heart and likes to help people. He is business man by day and a vigilante by night. I served his parents before him till they were tragically shot dead in an alleyway after leaving the theatre one night. Haters will say it's a lie..
Maybe even military training , assassinations, close combat, sabotage of equipment/vehicles , truck driving lessons , dirty tricks , setting and defusing bombs
There are people that just love adding value to other people's lives. I think most successful people love to serve or create things so others can benefit from what they do. If you love what you do, you'll never work a day.
Butler's get paid A LOT of money! ~$50,000 - $150,000 a year!!! Most of the work is pretty basic and easy to learn as well, mostly cleaning. You also sometimes get a room to yourself in the mansion, free rent, free food, etc. essentially becoming part of a wealthy family.
A history of the word, courtesy of Wiki. The term "butler" comes from Anglo-Norman buteler, a variant form of Old Norman *butelier. This corresponds to the Old French botellier, meaning "officer in charge of the king's wine bottles," derived from boteille "bottle" (Modern French Bouteille), itself from Gallo-Romance BUTICULA "bottle." For centuries, the butler has been the attendant entrusted with the care and serving of wine and other bottled beverages, which in ancient times might have represented a considerable portion of the household's assets and led to the position becoming the chief steward of the family. 🙂
No, still just called butlers, I believe. And it seems like they do the exact same work that any male butler would do as well (based on my inquiry into obtaining a female butler and looking at the job descriptions for both).
Pretty cool and dedicated to every detail, it's amazing. Although I have never heard anyone say - when I grow up I want to be a butler and wait on everyone's every need instead of my own.

Anthony Monis same.
It's the kind of profession you really ought to be entirely devoted to.
It's not the kind of thing suitable as a fallback.
Marines in the Netherlands is a good fall back option for me
If I wasn't clumsy, I'd love to be one.😥
If you can’t be Bruce Wayne, might as well be Alfred

Right lo l
Alfred is the coolest
And you DONT hav to get dead parents
🤣🤣
Alfred was the most important part of Batman’s life. Without Alfred, there would be no Batman.
"The total cost of the 10-week, 800 curriculum hour butler training program, everything included, is 14.500 Euros"
2 and a half months course for 14.5k Euros??!! You already need to have money to even be a servant for the wealthy.
You need to spend 14.5k euro to be a slave or a rich person.
@@Youkai_graphics beta investment
Maybe super rich people just send their servants there to be super butlers. That's the only reason that can make believe that someone will pay that much for learning how to be a good servant
@יוסף אריה קהן still a crazy amount of money for a 2-month course. I'm not talking about the content of the course, for me it's a very fascinating thing to study but 2 months can't make you satisfied after paying this freakin amount of money.
Wait, butlers still exist? I thought they went extinct.
They're a rare breed.
They're an endangered species.
They are a protected species along with maids and live-in housekeepers
Rich people are trying to help them not to become extinct
Yeah they were but the anime weebs brought it back to life
People are saying
“Who would wanna be a Butler”
But some people are like
“I think it’s actually spy school.”
Which makes me think
“Damn, how cool would it be to be a butler spy”

you can definetly use the skills you'll learn in assassinations
considering the client of this butler tend to be someone who extremely rich and powerful some commercial espionage on the side definitely occur at one point of time not like the movie where guns go blazing but some sensitive topic like where the boss might want to build his factory or his decision on certain issues might be overheard that such info could fetch quite a lucrative payout to the right buyers that why loyalty and reward are so highly valued and given at the highest level of the butler profession
Combat butler Ala OVERLORD
Me: just becomes one so i cam say “im simply one hell of a butler.”
I thought they just sprout from all over England.
Yo Sebastian and Claude come walking in and are like “life must be so hard for these human butlers”
There are a lot of Batman and Black Butler jokes here
Lol
Ikr!
Besides Bob the Butler, Alfred and Sebastian are the only famous (albeit fictional) butlers of whom I've heard. XD
But what about Butler from Artemis fowl. He definitely deserves a mention.

you had a childhood fantasy of becoming a butler??
Really? ok then best of luck then.
When I was younger, I wanted to be a butler. This is the kind of school I would have attended, but life took a different turn.

But who grows up to say “I dream of becoming a butler”... I always thought maybe it was more like a family thing. (My dad was a butler, my dads dad was a butler) something like that.
An anime child probably
Somebody who wants to work with Batman duh
My friends does
I was never into Batman our anime for a very long time but always told myself I wanted to be a butler in the future. The thought of serving and helping someone so they can find simple joy and peace without the menial labor of the Day sounded so nice...
Well, it doesn't pay badly😏
I am a butler who serves in a rich family home for decades. My master is a filthy reach business man but has a kind heart and likes to help people. He is business man by day and a vigilante by night. I served his parents before him till they were tragically shot dead in an alleyway after leaving the theatre one night.
Haters will say it's a lie..

It's a really inspiring job !
Thank you for doing such rare kind work .
does he happened to have a bat cave? Rich people love bats.
There's probably a secret classroom in the basement where they learn how to poison food and drinks.
Maybe even military training , assassinations, close combat, sabotage of equipment/vehicles , truck driving lessons , dirty tricks , setting and defusing bombs

Forgive me for my ignorance, but I've honestly never seen a female butler, I'm so happy its for both males and females
april00026000 you haven't seen female butlers because there are none. They're called maids.
SurferTurnip lmao that was genius 😂😂😂😂
SurferTurnip 1:49 I see a female!
Actually, now that I think about it, wouldn’t a female butler be called a buttress? Like mister and mistress.
No, still just called butlers, I believe. And it seems like they do the exact same work that any male butler would do as well (based on my inquiry into obtaining a female butler and looking at the job descriptions for both).
