Don’t take hard on taking above 80% mark on the engineering; it’s not worth it ( I was a topper). Above 70 % is enough to fulfill all criteria for exams or companies. Always try to learn extra skills rather than your academics. Participate in various college competitions, learn new concepts, make good friends, and enjoy college life. Because in real life, those skills more important than your marks.
Extra curriculum activities opportunities are more in CS stream. One can participate in Hackaton and other competitions etc.. and that would add to your CV. My daughter who is a topper in CSE from RVCE did a Japan company-funded project when she was in the 4th semester using IoT and then they made a group of 6 in their class and participated in SMART INDIA Hackaton conducted by the Govt of India and won in their category also. Opportunity in CS/ EC is much more than Chemical Engineering. The reason is Chemical engineering is largely a field of big industry like Fertilizer/cement/petroleum/ Refinery etc.. which cannot be done by one individual and is a highly capital-intensive industry. in CE it is you one person can be a company and start a company and sell that company for 40 million .. it is possible. People have done it

Hi Mohan, No, because I felt I had put in my 100% in those two years and there wasnt much scope of improvement. If I couldn't get in, that meant I was not that smart and 1 more year wouldnt be able to change that :)
Didi my CGPA got 9 till semester 3 and I my college total 5 students who compete me and highest one got 9.5 cgpa then 9.3 then 9.1 then at last I got 9 so didi can I beat those competitors

Hey Ram, That's a great question. I was a part of Vyoma, a drone making club. I also participated in Rotaract club activities and 8th mile fest. And yeah, took some NPTEL courses. At that time there wasn't many online courses, so ya :)
im a student of 12th grade , im an international student but im doing my high school in india , do you know if there is entrance exams for international students for rvce because other universities dont require entrance exams for international students , we just have to pay more ?

Congratulations. This video is sweeter than you being a gold medalist in Chemical engineering . Chemical Engineering from UDCT would have been befitting for your urge to pursue that. Chemical Engineering from RVCE is not. As a chemical engineer myself worked in 5 different chemical industries., I must say, the industry is filled with Mechanical / electrical and Computer engineers and all Chemical engineers had to transport themselves to SAP process consultant role when that became a craze in early 2000. Hence developing so-called passion at the early age of 12th std perhaps overrated. If you start your own chemical company may be a small Oxygen plant or Small paint plant then sell those products, then perhaps your passion has some meaning .. Otherside this is simply one more video in RUclips

Well for RVCE we generally give the ComedK which is the nation wide examination. For Management quota, I am not so sure.
Is it like u got ece , cse in RVCE ? And still u went with to chemical or u got cse and ece in some other college..

Hello Ma'am myself also a student of RVCE EEE is it only 5th ,6th,7th,8th sem are mandatory to score 10 CGPA for getting gold medal in engineering
You don't have to score 10 GPA in last 4 semesters. Try and do well in all semesters :)
