I’ve never worked out a gym till yesterday and cannot wait to get back to my old habits of taking care of myself. It’s a great first step and I’m nervous af
I was self conscious about going to gym for a bit but seriously when I say no one cares and is just there to chill and work it's so a good environment! Hope your training goes well ♥️
Lol facts. Some people even buy a full set of gym equipment before even starting to make them commit just for them to quit after 2 weeks All you need is discipline and a gym membership Sht I started out with nothing but crocs and old clothes in a dirty gym close to me. I just bought nc equipments and transferred to a decent gym a year later😂
I used to do competitive powerlifting when I was young (I was national champion in my weight division). Then I got hurt, got lazy, and never went back. Fast forward 20 years, I'm 46 and going back to the gym tomorrow. Nervous and excited.
@songhill6962 with some movements yes. I got back into a lot of upper body exercises pretty quickly but lower body is taking some time. Also my knees are no longer what they used to be so I have to replace some movements with others
Just got a membership for the gym I was 2 months In working out before moving states and year later I’m back in there lowkey in love ❤ taking care of my body and u forgot to tell the folks earphones or headphones 🎧 is a must
Also why would anyone want calluses on their hands? They can get infected, or they can make you hands really rough, and when you wanna touch yo girl with those hands she's gonna get as dry as the Sahara desert 😭
As a woman, my grip strength couldn't keep up with my low body strength, so i couldn't lift as heavy without wrist straps that i needed to. I also got horrible headaches from gripping so hard. So use the straps if you need to. What ever gets you to the gym and actually doing something there is worth it.
Walking past a girls camera while she’s lifting and her getting all butthurt about it then she puts you on blast on her IG account is keeping you big as hell
Tbh, I feel like if you are already committed then that's when you put money into your hobbies Not when you just started. Seen a lot of people blow money on gym equipment and supplements only to quit after 1 month
I have calluses from being a mechanic...that's why I had to get gym gloves. The bar digging into my calluses caused me to lose grip strength thru out my workout 😂.
I have finally made it to my goal weight at home. I have horrible skin tightening issues so I was thinking of going to the gym now. I lost 96 pounds at home and I look so bad. What gym workouts will help me? I am also now scared of getting to underweight. I have had 7 children so my ab area is a mess. Sometimes I regret getting into shape. 😢😢 Gym here I come.
This dude is tripping a beginner does not need gym chalk. Hell im 6’4, 238lbs all muscle, built like a cornerback. And I dont need gym chalk. And i do use gloves, not to prevent calluses but to prevent my fingers from digging into my palm on really heavy lift days.
Yeah he's full of shit just trying to sell products once I look at guys like this and I just think it's funny how they think they're just big and buff dudes it's like dude you're really not all that
I need wrist wraps, my joints are kinda fucked up and prevents me from lifting heavy without pain which is problematic for certain exercise. They also are usually the ones to give out first
Nah, wrist straps are a great help. Your back is always gonna be stronger than your grip. You want a big back? Get straps and train your grip separately.
In the long run yes. More water helps prevent fatigue, less fatigue better reps, better reps more gains. Also water is a stimulant for your metabolism, which will help you burn calories.
nah i needed wrist wraps bc my wrists sprain easily, so they help. and for gloves, my hands are very very sensitive, so gloves make it possibe for me to do more than 2 reps without it hurting
You can always tell who works with their hands. As a man in the oilfield going on 12 years, ima wear my gloves to protect my hands because if you mess ya hands up you gone mess up ya livelihood kus that’s how we make our money out here. Working 15+ and 20+ hour shifts in all weather conditions has definitely assured me I’m a man because most can’t do it. You can go to the gym for a couple hours a day and go home, but out here we still gone be lifting iron and swinging hammers 15 hours after y’all “real men” at home sleep and shit. Protect ya hands and feet at all costs or you ain’t gone be no good.
I already got a membership but dont got a clue what to do when i come to the gym so embarrassing. I normally someone who love to got his shit ready. This situation got me messed up.
That liquid chalk i had to quit using. My calus never tore before using liquid chalk. I stick with regular ol chalk.. and no im not a neginner i currently have a 685 Deadlift at 223 lbs BW.
I got a ganglion cyst on one of my wrists from moving 3,000 boxes a day at fedex, and though it shrinks a bit every month, it's still around after over a year and a couple months. I absolutely need wrist wraps or a glove with wrist wraps on it in order to work out. Otherwise my cyst is going to take even longer to heal. I had one on my foot also from standing up 8-14 hours a day for three years and that took 2 years to completely disappear.
Today is my first week of gym. I don't use that gloves, but it give me some sort of like blister (idk the english word of it) can you guys give me recommendation on how i can get the six pack in my abs?
If you wanna save a buck make your own liquid chalk. Alcohol and regular chalk into a an empty water bottle. I’ve made two full bottles in maybe 5 years.
