  • A quick video on how to repair the Lay Z Spa non return valve air seal used for the spa, bubbles pump that often leaks and causes the egg on a Bestway Lay-Z-Spa to leak water. This is the A valve connection.
    You need the repair valve which you can order from:
    amzn.to/3xXgtJA
    (Lay Z Lazy Spa Non Return Valve - A connection)
    This is an easy fix for the non return valve on these inflatable hot tub units.
    All you need is a pair of thin nose pliers and maybe a screwdriver. Oh and patience!

    Hi I have a lazy spa Maldives, the non return valve is positioned at the other end of the pipe in your video, so I can’t reach it with pliers, is there a way of replacing the valve?

    How is this possible to push the piece through the hole? This is impossible for me.

  • @KOL630
    @KOL630 Год назад +1

    My pump had water coming out of the bottom during operation. Wasn’t sure what the issue is but I undid this pipe and water flows out fully. I’m assuming it’s because of this one way value. Easy spa instructions are utterly ridiculous and pointless. Whichever muppet put those together should be sacked immediately. Good video thanks for the tip. This is a design issue imo should be easier to change this piece. Never mind.

    Ehen I replaced it, I used a thin wire to fish the rubber end through. It really helped. The hot tub is still leaking from the same spot though. Any ideas as to why?

    • @junkendriven
      @junkendriven  4 месяца назад

      Possibly the leak is coming from the pump screw fitting or rubber seal and travelling along making it difficult to spot. These are awkward fittings so just keep trying with it and line it up again, hopefully it'll seal and be sorted!

  • @Peter_RFlynn

    Mine does this- so I need one of these values. Always wondered why you get 2 caps for the water if you need to remove the pump but then it leaks out of the air pipe anyway...

    • @junkendriven
      @junkendriven  Год назад

      You should get 3 caps, one for each water pipe and one for air larger cap too!
      But yes, proves that the one way valve in the air/bubbles section isn't good!
      Also check the mushroom valve in your pump too as that's the secondary seal for the air system

    I think I would of threaded a line through that hole and ties it around the long skinny tail and put the seal back in and then pulled the string.

    Hi my lazy spa Palm Springs Hydrojet has just broken the jets didnt work and then air started coming through the back of the filter casing and not out of the jets? Any clues as to whether its fixable please? Water is coming out of the air intake too. Thanks in advance.

    • @junkendriven
      @junkendriven  2 года назад

      Hi Fiona, that sounds like the hydro part inside the pump, it's a large plastic piece that combines air and water, my guess is it's cracked as the plastic seems quite brittle to me. Take the casing off and inspect the screw fittings and seals, you might be lucky and it's just a seal or needs resealing

    I have a question, my pump went out completely. I've tried looking up just the pump to replace with no luck. Only thing I've seen is a complete new egg assembly. for 180-250 us. Got a little over a year out of it. I replaced the impeller twice.

    • @junkendriven
      @junkendriven  2 года назад +1

      Hi James, parts are difficult to find as unfortunately Bestway don't supply just parts (As you found, just the whole egg). But if you search ebay quite a few people supply second hand parts for them off stripped down units. Not sure how trusty they will be if they've been in service but worth a try.
      My whole egg unit is now 3yrs old and going strong with yearly maintenance. Check out my other videos on the channel as cleaning and de-scaling is important.
