    Beautiful Video
    Northcliff and Westcliff are possibly 2 of the most beautiful neighbourhoods on this planet - definitely the very best of Johannesburg

    Four Seasons Westcliff in Johannesburg has a cool colonial ambience. The wall paper in the room breaks the monotony of the white walls. The view of the jacaranda trees from the restaurant is eye popping. The profusion of climbers on the walls and the well manicured gardens enhance the appeal of this hotel. The buffet spread looked especially tempting. Thank you for taking us on a tour of this fabulous property. 👏👏💚

    This hotel looks a huge improvement after its re-fit. I stayed there in 2010, it was desperately in need of an upgrade then. It looks lovely now. Nice re-work of the pool area, and of the rooms. Getting rid of all those pink buildings was a huge improvement too.

      Same here. The Jacarandas. The purple blooms come out in November in Australia. This video was uploaded in mid-January, I wonder if they come out later in South Africa.

    Very nice location of the hotel amidst the green covers, all around, not only that it's beautifully planned decorated, the purple flowers all around is awesome. The reception lobby is huge and luxurious. The accommodation are all like a colonial mansions. Very tastefully designed, beautiful looks, a perfect grandeur.

    Fantastic Video
    One correction if I may Westcliff does have beautiful views - However the the very best views of Johannesburg (360 degrees) can be enjoyed from Northcliff Ridge

    Loved the Jacarandas miss those very much. Beautiful hotel very cleverly laid out. I had 3 friends who had Homes in Westcliff. So much nicer than Sandton City Hotels.

    Another beautiful clip! The production values are fabulous; and, in particular, I just love the music. What musical group is this and from where did you source this? I've never stayed at a Four Seasons, but images here are certainly an incentive to do so! Thanks!

    I'm looking forward to reading about this experience, because I'm totally blind, and although the video sounds lovely, I really need a story line to go with it. Okay, if not a story line, a log of sorts would do well. As I listen to the music, I can't help but think of luxury with quiet undertones for privacy and some much needed solitude to de-stress.

    I have watched all of your videos, great job! Are you familiar with the history of the Four Seasons chain? It was a Canadian institution until the Sharpe family sold it some time ago to Bill Gates and the Saudi's. During the 1980's and early 90's the Four Seasons was the place to be seen if you were a member of the Canadian Establishment. It has lost most of its prestige in Canada, sadly, the Four Seasons Vancouver is currently in the process of shutting down unless it can reach an agreement with Cadilac Fairview. I remember when the Four Seasons Beverly Hills was a must property for those who wanted to be seen. Thanks

    I had assumed you were not fond of the four seasons brand, i don't recall any of your 2016 stays as being at a FS. I've seen most of your catalog and only recall maybe 2 or 3 instances from much earlier videos.

    • @luxurytravelexpert
      @luxurytravelexpert  7 лет назад

      Well, I love the FS brand, although not all hotels in their portfolio are equally good. I have stayed at many of their hotels before I started the blog. And I have some stays planned with them in the near future (such as their new Vietnam property).

      Lots of water but l would advise you to drink bottle water as there is sewerage running into the rivers. Cape Town was the city with the water shortage.

    Sorry to sound negative but I think design wise in many aspects, this hotel is substandard when you consider most F.S. properties. However I'm sure the overall quality (bathrooms, room fittings etc) and standard of service is high, which is always a mark of the brand - one of the best International chains for sure. Thanks for the post.
