Hi! I started taking figure skating lessons earlier this fall, and this was a great intro to the different jumps! Thank you. I'm wondering if, as a complete beginner, it would be beneficial for me to start practising these jumps off ice now, or if it's better that I wait until they're introduced to me on ice?
Hey! You definitely don’t have to wait until they are introduced to you on the ice. However, it might be beneficial to start with basic one foot hops, and basic rotation jumps before practicing these jumps. Skipping (jump rope) is a great place to start building a really strong foundation!
