  • Alabama finds themselves with 2 losses entering November...for the first time since 2007. Kalen DeBoer wasn't on the receiving end of a victory cigar and leaves Knoxville with mounting criticisms on the discipline of his team, their execution, and the coaching staff's success so far.

    We had 15 penalties against Tennessee. Two years ago, the last Coach Saban that went to Tennessee had 17 penalties. Being undisciplined as far as penalties has been a problem for several years now. Here is where Alabama ranked in penalties for the last five years under Saban.

    This is not something that you can say is a Coach DeBoer problem.

      @@BlindVeganRescueBut the defense wasn't what the issue was. Even with the defense of Tennessee doing well, there was wide open plays left and right, and Jalen just missed them entirely. He was forcing tons of throws that were not wide open, and Tennessee was giving Jalen the run and the RB out the back field. His missed Law on a throw that, if in front of him, gave him a chance to make a play. Just lots of misses.

    I agree penalties are killers, especially taking away a nice run or touchdown but i remember seeing the camera on Saban after a costly mental mistake. So for that aspect we as Tide fans cant put the blame on Deboer. But for Alabama football we need to be better in that part of the game.

  • @HawgWyldFishing
    @HawgWyldFishing 48 минут назад

    I just don’t think you can operate like you used to be able to. Even the best teams have a depth issue, so if you get on a guy, and end up sitting him on the bench for just a series, the guy you replace him with is probably a true freshman or a redshirt freshman. Half the sophomores you had lined up to replace this years Juniors, all decided to transfer down to FSU, holding hands and singing kumbaya in the offseason. Just to show the world what it looks like to really suck at football. But that in and of itself outlines a major part of the problem. How do you truly coach guys hard, when they can literally be incentivized by another school, to just lay down and quit on you today, and they listen all because you were hard on them last Monday?

      @@derekstuckey8039 well "us" is strong because I don't know about you but I ain't on the team but for 1. This is the same team that couldn't adjust under saban last year? If you want to admit it or not they were already soft. 2. A lot of the offensive problems are due to QB play, you can't run the ball every snap and win the game that's not football anymore you have to take shots (and connect on at least half of them) to keep the D from swarming your ass you also have to move the ball down the field constantly to give the damn defense a break, you could have the greatest mind on offense but it doesn't matter if you have a QB that throws to 1 player 22 out of 45 times. And you can't run the ball because other teams already know Jalen is going to run (if anything Texas showed the blue print last year everyone just forgets about that.)
