It’s so nice to hear you mention Jared and how good he’s to you! So glad you talked about keeping baby June with you at the hospital, I took a violence class and a pretty heavy subject was obstetric violence, and so many ladies talked about how rude and how hard it was for them having their babies taken away to be poked and what not when they DIDN’T wanted them to! So glad you stood your ground! Hopefully that’ll help ease any anxiety to future mommies have ☺️🌷

I haemorrhaged badly shortly after my daughter was born. For 2 full days I was sedated and had transfusions. When I was finally reunited with baby, there was no milk. She had been bottle fed so I just continued. I was really disappointed, but soon recognised that I could have died, so decided to just be happy to have my baby in my arms. I agree with you about not having nurses prod my little one. I spent nearly 2 weeks in hospital but it was worth every monent and gave me a special bond with my baby.
    Jennifer June is just beautiful.

My daughter had 2 “sugar babies “ and the first thing they did was give them a bottle ( which they devoured) and I ( granny) went through to the room where they checked them and took blood 🩸. She had 4 babies. Now the sugar babies are 21 and 18 . The younger 2 are 14 and 10 . ALL healthy and happy. Love from Granny in Australia 🇦🇺.❤

I agree with you, as long as she was alert and nursing, there was NO reason to check her sugars. Also, I had a baby in NICU for 11 days and I was unable to nurse him but pumped. He refused a bottle and went straight to the cup father exclusively nursing for 18 months. Thank goodness she will take a bottle. It was a nightmare at times but I miss that precious time now. Lol My first baby stopped nursing at 10 months but would take a bottle.

I agree with following the baby’s cues. That’s how I raised my babies and they were great sleepers and great eaters. I never had any problems with them. One thing I think we do differently here in Australia is that we give our babies a bottle with some water. So even breastfed babies are getting used to a bottle as well. Water is offered once a day, in between feeds to keep baby properly hydrated. They start doing this in the hospital. 😊

Everybody should know this, and i was upset when my daughter was born, for the first five days (born in Novara, Italy) i don't know what the hospital gave her, she never suckled... once i was home i initiated breastfeeding, it took two weeks of effort. Once breastfeeding took hold, i gave her the breast for eighteen months. When a mother is upset, family needs to step in and monitor the hospital.

    • @phonebayli

Typically, it’s standard practice in American hospitals before the baby leaves to give a Vitamin K infusion, which is a shot but not a vaccine, and the Hepatitis B vaccine within 24 hours. And then the next round of vaccines begins at 2 months.
