Also, many people do milk baths for their kids and it's supposed to be really good for their skin! You just pour some into a normal bath and it is supposed to help (:
Shouldn’t you weigh out your trays before and after they go in the freeze dryer so you know exactly how much water to put back in to get it to the right consistency?
Beautiful ❤ Love watching your videos! Been watching since Calvin was born and your journey has been amazing ❤ cannot wait to see how June grows and how she gets to keep up with her crazy big brothers 😊
Oh this would be awesome, we are barely using up the milk from when my daughter was born in November and she doesn't care much for the bottle so it's been tough feeding it to her. I have half a freezer full of milk and i don't believe my daughter will go through it. My son has been drinking it sometimes so we will see if I can find a company to do this with.
There’s a company near us that picks up your breast milk freeze dries it and sends it back we don’t have a ton of freezer space so it would help a ton!
So you used an entire mylar bag for 1 cup, can you seal the bag lower and then do another cup and seal it again at the top? That way your using the entire bag space?
What a wonderful idea Ellie! You can use that dehydrated breast milk for so many different things! Jennifer is getting so big sweet little tiny mite ❤. Sending love from Wilsonville Oregon
Ellie, when you’re pace feeding, rather than taking the whole bottle out of her mouth, just tip in down a bit so that no milk is in the teat and then you can tip it up again. That way bub doesn’t lose suction. I love that you’re bringing attention to paced feeding x
@@jodij1982 it’s fine for them to suck the air. They don’t swallow it. That’s a myth. Have a go and try it your self with an empty water bottle or similar. You breathe the air out.
Thank you for the tips with feeding with a bottle when breastfeeding, im a bit worried when introducing the bottle once a week that it will affect the breastfeeding. But i want to see if she will take a bottle if someday I will need to leave her with her dad ❤️
Does it not water the nutrition down in breast milk? Only concern with her being this young and the whole crisis with watered down formula. Just a concern but I'm sure once she's older it really would matter but infants it's surely a concern it would water down all that goodness?
Awesome video! I'm curious as to why you need to remove the nipple every few seconds when bottle-feeding a nursing baby. Is it so that the baby doesn't get used to how much faster she can receive the milk while bottle-feeding, causing her to reject the breast?
It’s called pace feeding. That way the baby is in control of the flow rather than letting the milk flow freely and baby doesn’t get used to not doing much and still has to suckle :)
If you feel like you have an abundance currently please look into donating some extra. Plenty of women would love to give their baby liquid gold but can’t!
Formula companies use glove because it is going to other people babies. You don’t use cloves to nurse or prepare formula for your own baby. Same principle.
“I hope that this was entertaining or educational, but either way it was really fun for me to do” I LOVE THAT you go girl
I don’t have a baby but I found this very interesting. I think freeze dried stuff is so cool.
Your baby is happy I hope she is happy too
She looks a little bit of Calvin and Tommy as well as Jackson when they where babies! She is so beautiful! You guys have a beautiful family!

Love this! Can’t think of anything better for when the kids are sick! 💙💙💙🎀
Ellie this was so cool to see! Thank you for sharing 💖
Love all your freeze drying videos. It's so cool that you can make formula from your own breastmilk!
Was fun to watch. Wishing I could make enough for bottles. 😅
This is so freaking cool and smart!! I never knew you could do that!! ❤❤
Loved the video Ellie!! Awesome work mama!

You can also use the powdered milk for when she starts eating solids
Aww Jennifer June soo sweet👸🏼🩷
She looks like tommy in this post ❤she is such a sweet mix of all of her brothers ❤ hello June bug

I was thinking that too! I don't see why not🤔🤗
So great to have for so many reasons!
This was so helpful, thank you so much.
They should do this with donated milk to give nicu babies
So smart!!
I always thought the "liquid gold" term was for colostrum only!! Have I been thinking it wrong for 18 years???

Won’t the baby be sucking air that way?

That’s not what IBCLCs have taught me

Nice video 📷
Wow
So
Cool!
Aw so beautiful and adorable
This is so amazing. Great idea. I have loved the freeze dried videos.
At what temperature or settings did you use for the machine? Also to confirm did you run it for 20 hours?
1 cup would be 2 x 8 oz bottles
Jennifer June is so cute❤

Great to see you using paced bottle feeding! Not enough people know about it!
Save (freeze) some of it for breast milk jewelry 😊

It mimics the way breastfed babies feed. The typically go suck, suck, pause, suck, suck, pause, etc.
It’s called pace feeding. That way the baby is in control of the flow rather than letting the milk flow freely and baby doesn’t get used to not doing much and still has to suckle :)

She’ll decide what to do with it. It came from her own body.
Why give her little at a time with the bottle?
Not great if poor thing is starving .
@@andreajenkins2545 she’s not starving, doofus.
Advent natural response doesn’t let any milk out when they stop to breath
Your comment doesn’t make sense.
@@dearleah7299 it acts like the breast how your breast doesn’t let milk out when they stop to breath the bottle does the same
❤❤❤
But if you had water to breast milk isn't that diluted breast milk.
Could you give this to the boys too little immune booster??
How do you keep it sanitary, especially not even using gloves while you handle the milk. Formula companies are very careful about that.
Formula companies use glove because it is going to other people babies. You don’t use cloves to nurse or prepare formula for your own baby. Same principle.
@Melissa McDonnell 😂 you’re joking, right?
What would be the water to powder ratio x
Never mind
You answered the question 🤦♀️🤣
That looks like a lot of extra work...
Why would that even matter to you knowing it’s beneficial to your baby?
