It's a shame. It happens in CANADA. The police state detains unlawfully citizen who are within their CANADIAN charter of rights. Do you have an idea what charter means. Even the Supreme Court can't override the statues of the charter. But the constable does what he wants. That's a shame
Canadian here! Love your work and this is a simple vid showing that these cops might not have bad attitudes but tyrants nontheless. Absolutely ridiculous! The fact that they dont have body cams should tell you everything you need to know.
Great vid. Loved the way you cornered the cop about cops wearing cams. He finally had to concede the point as he realized this is going to blow up if he doesn't. Great skills leading the cop to self expose his philosophy that good cops would want cameras. Why would they? Brilliant
They want to be able to cover for their buddies or play dumb when they see each other breaking the law. Body cams would somewhat stop them from doing that.
I am a recently retired officer from Ontario. I wore a body camera and had cruiser camera and completely support cameras. I never once thought it was a hindrance as I always treated the public with respect and protected their rights. It also protects officers from malicious complaints. If you’re on public property there is no expectation of privacy and videotaping is legal. If on private property or on a property that is properly marked no video recording then there would be a trespass violation for conducting a prohibited action on said private property.
Should tell them your standard tariff is $250 per minute for unlawful detainment. Then that you may issue a small claims court claim against the constable personally.
You think they know that? It would give an awful lot of them reason to pause before an unlawful detention! To make a SCC claim do you have to be able to ‘prove’ a loss? Or can you claim for deprivation of rights? Who determines the tariff for that? What about unlawful arrest? In theory, There is no quantifiable loss there either.

@@Ontarioaudit it's auditors like you who are making history and helping to change the world. We see that and thank you for it. I also went on to call the police station in KW about the way the sergeant treated you there and I really highlighted Officer Cole Casford's professionalism.
You're a champion.
What a coincidence. I was doing the same thing on Sunday. Not surprised. Ottawa is full of " Karen's and Darren's "
Libtards
8:09 “Get back on duty” Is an important statement and I’m glad you did it and I’ll tell you why. It is telling them, which can be used in your defence, that you are not obstructing. How can you be obstructing if you are telling them to do their job? Use that early during the interaction with them and use it numerous time
Well said
@@Ontarioaudit Also ask the cops if they are afraid of your camera. Their ego usually makes them say that it does not. At that point they cannot use their ‘officer safety’ defence as they already admitted that they were not afraid
Once he said two seconds I would have been gone after two seconds.
Everyone has the right on detention (even if it is an illegal one):
- to be informed ‘promptly’ of the reasons therefor;
- to have the validity of the detention determined by way of habeas corpus and to be released if the detention is not lawful.
Franks dropping knowledge today
He was informed and did not provide identification. This is canada
It doesn't matter where We go, using a camera in public is now suspicious.
It's no longer Canada at this point. Sad...
@@Ontarioaudit What happened? It's not all Trudeau.
Suspicion can be anything for any reason. Canada has a broader scope for suspicion. Your word vs there's. In this video THE COP was doing nothing wrong. When he didn't provide ID the cop could have detained him immediately for suspicion.
The seat of Canadian government, you'd like to think that they'd be a little more informed. Eh?
Nah just kidding they're all just stunned Canadian Bacon 🐗😂
Hey and love and respect from PEI 🇨🇦❤️💯
PEI eeeehhhh
So happy to see you made it to Ottawa!!! All the best!😎
Thanks Louis
Suspicion is an opinion not a law
Cameras kill careers
"People are calling, bla bla bla" OK, thanks for sharing.😊
This is so Canadian with the cop still being cordial and drinking Tim Hortons 🤣
This cops
hair style looks like Chachi from 1970’s
Awesome to see this type of stuff in Canada! New subscriber instantly.
Yup... I subbed on sight of the title.
I wonder how they would treat a woman recording?
I wonder how they would treat a Métis woman recording?
I wonder if they would take advantage of a woman with intellectual disabilities?
I wonder ??
Thank you 🇨🇦❤️😊
all women get a free pass. put down the crack pipe.
Keep rocking! I have said time and time again, I have learned a lot about , rights , myself ,and there are people on the planet whom DO CaRE , thank you from Billings MT
When it comes to the truth, every police officer need / should be wearing a Camera so that they cannot lie and it should be on 24 / 7 when they are on duty unless they go to the washroom….
In circumstances like this, you should always part with the comment: "Thanks for the lawsuit. See you in court", whether you intend to raise one or not. Let them mull that over in their wee heads for a while .....
They have twins on the other side of the border. Same tactics, same attitude and the same disdain for citizens.
Finally a canadian audit. Thank you
This is golden content bro💪💪love it. Keep up the good work. Love to see a level-headed Canadian auditor.
Congrats on your illegal detainment. Hope you can make em pay.
We can let Ryan keep thinking on those body cams.
I love what you’re doing, and the public needs more people and press like this, exposing the type of policing that we are to deal with here in Ontario. In hopes things will change.
The police has a lot to learn about our rights 😢
*FYI Pro Tip: Don't talk to law enforcement and don't ask if you're detained. If they approach and start asking questions you DO NOT have to answer them since it's a consensual encounter and you may simply walk away UNLESS they say you can't. Don't prompt them to say you're detained by asking them because it'll remind them to tell you so. Just walk away, don't ask if you can because you CAN and they don't need prompting by YOU to tell you so. Ask any attorney, not one would ever and I mean EVER suggest you speak with a law enforcement officer, take it from a retired one. More people get themselves into trouble just by opening their mouths instead of exercising your right NOT TO TALK.*
Detained is the same as being arrested. Your Freedom of movement and just being left to live. Has been taken away. Does not matter for how long. One min. Is too many!
15 minutes in Canada ....I hate it too ...but that is the number ....after that ... a Judge will agree with you and say that was too long to hold somebody with no charge.
As soon as the cops said stirring for likes, I liked the video cuz I forgot to like it before. See the officers was protecting the serving. He served you right there. He got you one like
Thx constable Ryan LOL
Ryan looks like the type to lie on the stand, not surprised hes against body cams. Umar Zameer may be in prison right now without the parking security footage. Ottawa get body cams now!
. no wonder they don't want body worn cameras ....
"Explain to me how I look like I'm going to arrest you."
Well, let's start with the POLICE tag across your front. Then, there's all that gear all over you. And let's not forget the mustache and haircut.
I’ve been illegally detained. Very uncomfortable having road pirates who hide down closed roads late at night who are just looking to cause trouble.
Good to see you in Ottawa. I think you will find that the Ottawa police service is completely corrupt. They don't want body cams because it will shine light on their corruption.
3:36 "You have investigated me and determined by your own admission that I haven't done anything illegal. Your investigation is now concluded. You're welcome. You're dismissed."
Arlotta's hair dresser has done him dirty , Ryan should have detained him , for venturing into public with a mullet like that.
Subscribed to your channel. Keep up the good work! -a fellow freedom loving Canadian
They’re a disgrace of Canadian Police, they need to start being professionals
NYC 50 years ago n 50 years later officer Ryan is diabolical that one almost took me out
May I suggest...
"Am I detained? No? Then I withdraw my consent to this consentual contact. Have a nice day" and be on your way.
If they persist, "if you believe I have broken the law, state the law. Arrest me. Caution me and we will do this properly; with lawyers present. Either way, I will be saying nothing further. If you are not arresting me, you have zero authority to force me to remain here and I am terminating this conversation. Have a nice day."
BUT ....he DID want the conversation to go on and on ....for video content ....that's a given.
Nice officer😍😍 good video. Thank you😊
Free to go Free to Stay Constable Ryan goof!
Why would a Canadian citizen feel relaxed while being detained!
Your freedom isn't based on a complainants feelings!
It's okay to reference charter rights as constitutional rights.
Yank!
@@richardpaquette8429 He's right. Canada has a constitution, and the Charter is part of it. Our Charter rights are 'constitutional'.
@@kyle381000 Yank wannabe!
Your videos are the best. You have a great attitude. There is no fill just to make it longer. I truly enjoy tour work. Ty for doing this and I hope others learn from you rather than just post boring interactions that let us know squad cars numbers. That info is so riveting
Cheers
Nonsense stupid reasoning, that is a cop thing
The people will be seeing you, ryan. No matter the time that passes.
Freedom was kidnapped
Being detained on a public sidewalk in front of a HOTEL no less is a disgrace. I hope that cop told the hotel staff it is not illegal to take video in public.
After all that has happened in Ottawa you would think the police would have body cams by now.
Great work Jay
8:58
That pic would make a great thumbnail pic! Hahahaha
I should have huh? LOL its perfect
Man, keep up the good work😅.
Its best when you are calm and collected. You do great work.
No matter what the Constitution says or Case Law says. They Neglect it.
It's a shame. It happens in CANADA. The police state detains unlawfully citizen who are within their CANADIAN charter of rights. Do you have an idea what charter means. Even the Supreme Court can't override the statues of the charter. But the constable does what he wants. That's a shame
Bullshit…I’ve taken hundreds of pics in Ottawa…including in and around Government, Police AND Military buildings…
Ofc it's BS. Cops like Ryan attempt to say these things to citizens who don't know their rights. I really wish more people would educate themselves.
10:39 gathering content for dissemination to the public IS DEFINITELY journalism
An illegal detainment is an illegal detainment. It is unlawful and outright wrong. There must be a reckoning for this kind of crap.
Great Video!!!
Great interaction, how do they not have dash cams or body cams in 2024 , that is insane bro
Canadians cops love a creepy moustache 😂
LOL
@@Ontarioaudit it's just crazy watching from the UK, if someone was bold enough to let that grow here it's 100% called a "pedo tache" 😂
Brilliant
RYANS a liar that's why he's against body cams #tyrant
They want to be able to cover for their buddies or play dumb when they see each other breaking the law. Body cams would somewhat stop them from doing that.
Thanks for making Canada a bit more free and educating the people!
good job Ontario audit
Thank you Frisian
Just found your channel. Great job ma man!
you can not take photos,,,,lol,,, Ya right... RYAN you seem to be not that bright..learn the laws of Canada
Ryan's a bad cop p o s
You sound like one of those sovereign citizen idiots.
Don’t be that stupid.
That’s BS as does not work, I hope you know that.
@@ConcernedCitizenCa
Whatever, I’m just speaking legally and all cops just laugh when they hear that BS about being charged a sum amount per hour.
@@ConcernedCitizenCa
Thats all American type horseshit about tariffs for being detained.
Again the brain washed sov cits movement.
We don't care if people have concerns. Tell them to mind their own business until a crime has been committed. Wait, did he just say he knows there are a lot of good cops against it...are you saying you know bad cops too. GOTCHA'!!!! His wheels are turning in his head. Liar Liar pants on fire!!! So he's being detained for trying to get likes...what law is that???? He couldn't answer the question about bodycams because he is one of the dirty ones. Trash!!! And stop calling them by their positions on the force and really going to say i "appreciate it" or "thank you"...they just illegally detained you. There was nothing professional about what they did.
i like how you made that cop start thinking. seems like he stopped pretty quick.
The thing I found interesting from this whole video is the fact that they have no body cameras or vehicle cameras thank you for bringing this to our attention.
