I got a lot of comments on why I didn’t shout out the natural hair youtuber Viv Hairtherapy who apparently also made a video a while back with this thing .. The thing is, I never saw her video. I didn’t even know she also had a video where she used this hair tool. I searched with all possible keywords on RUclips about this product and her video never popped up on my feed. That’s why I assumed no natural ever had tried this 🤷🏽♀️
For these “I tried” videos I try tools or products that I‘ve never tried out before. It is very much possible that other youtubers also make videos with the products I’m using. So please, don’t come at me with “you’re a liar” or “copycat” because another youtuber also featured this in his/her videos. I am not always aware about what others do, I just focus on creating funny, relatable and informative content for you guys. That’s my only goal. Just wanted to say this ❤️

There's 2 buttons directly below the claws that grab your hair. The buttons pushes the pink claws up allowing you to put your hair in it then you release the button and the claws will go down securing the hair in place.

That worked great. I bought something similar for my daughter when she was little. It also worked great. We were skeptical at first, too; it seems WAY too simple of a contraption, but it works. Consistent twists in a fraction of the time.

I bought that thing about 2 years ago hoping it'll help me twist my hair faster and I haven't touched it sense. It twists the shaft of the hair well but it leaves your roots loose, making the style look unkept.. especially if you have a lot of fly always near your roots. Heck the shaft will look ragged too if you don't load on a lot of product before twisting.
And don't even try to do a twist out with this. With the way it twists the hair, it just leaves your hair in a twisted-tangly mess when you unravel it.

You should twist the root yourself first then use the tool
Just go straight to 2, skip the first step
@@mariamyupperz7614 Just twirling it at the root first sounds feasible but the hair just unravels by time you secure the ends in the clips on the tool. Maybe it'll work better if I had someone help hold the hair or had a stronger hair clip to secure the twist at the roots.
And twirling both sections of hair from root to tip works well to tame the roots but by the time you finished doing that you could've just made a twist by hand ☹.
@@Brynwyn123 I thought that'd work but it doesn't create an actual twist at all if you do that. The hair has to be twirled first.

omg this is hilarious. I had this "tool" more than 10 years ago and it came with a Barbie doll that I had at the time. It was a styling tool that could be used for the doll and child's hair as well. I loved it!

I had the one your'e reffering to - way back in the day when they were advertised with the little straight haired girls... AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! The unit back then did 3-strand twists. I SO regretted that I got rid of it, because my twist-outs were AMAZING!!!! I'm glad that it's available on amazon.
