This is EXACTLY why we need to make our own products! Someone with highly textured hair who knows about twists would know to make the rotations go in the same direction. Such a simple tweak that would make it work properly ❤
It actually works for African American textured hair. I ordered one and tried it and had success

I detangle as I twist, and have to, so watching that thing go I'm like "oh no".
Appreciate. I hadn't seen this thing until recently. But my hair is so long that any braid or twist takes me a full day. I usually put on a show to binge and just settle in.

You are so brave to try this, I couldn't do it!! I would have my hair so tangled up in this thing!! I was nervous about a machine twisting up hair. I'm surprised it actually twisted the hair. The take down kinda looks like sisterlocks that have been twisted.

Yea that tool is a no! I was wondering when it did the opposite directions during twisting if it was going to tangle coming down! whomp whomp....back to the drawing board on technology helping us! I’m glad you tried this for us, because I know mines would be a tangled mess

I'm SO glad that tool didn't rip out your hair cuz I was worried! I would be interested to see how it would look if you just did your regular twists with the tool without twirling the two individual strands.
That's exactly what I was wondering. Either one or the other. Not both together on the same twist.

Thank you crystal for your example and I liked the way your finger twist were and I expected the same from the machine and would you say it's worth it getting one and I'm a guy looking to use it on my head for the finger coiling method only and I've never done them but I wanted to know if it could do it on my hair, could you try both the machine coiling method vs the finger coiling method on your hair.
The concept is dope just seems like it would take longer
I'd use it on synthetic hair. Like for a crochet style, if you want to be more versatile with the hair vs. Pre-made crochet hair. It looked like it was tangling your hair.

Maybe If you only used setting 1. Setting one looked more like a twist that’s hand made as opposed to setting 2. Setting 2 twisted the the individual strand so it made it look like a butterfly look to me and the since they were already twisted and then twisted again together that probably made the take down harder since u couldn’t see where is naturally separated .

Yeah i had an idea that from the way it was twisting it was more for styling twists rather than a twist out. but im wondering how would the twist out look if you only did "setting one" 🤔

Yea I saw this and was like that’s the devil 🤣 the problem besides the direction issues is, that it doesn’t smooth the hair as it twists. The way I saw the ends plump up and the rest didn’t, I was like “oh the tangles” lol

Nope. Not for me. I would spend more time loading the machine than just doing it by hand.
I think it is easier to just twist using your hands.
I also think it’s too time consuming. By the time you twist one with this tool you can twist 4 your way. I knew it wouldn’t work on your hair. Glad you didn’t pay a lot of money for it.
I think you got a broken one because yours was supposed to to go the other way
Seems easier just to twist your hair yourself.
So like....maybe this might work as a shorter method for creating finger coils if you Leave out the second step of actually completing the twist. Well, that is if it didn’t make KNOTS 💀
I don’t really like how it comes out for natural loose hair nor locs. I’d end up starting the hair manually then finishing with the tool. I’m too much of a clean part person, the machine just makes it look like the person refreshed an old style 😶🤷🏽♀️
Thanks for showing us its not worth buying. I remembered when that thing came out years ago and wondered if it would work for our hair. Now I'm grateful I didn't buy it. Some things are not made for us.
