I'd say a good 90% of what you hear recorded for an album is recorded in parts and spliced together, everything from vocals, guitar, drums, bass, etc. Of course you can sometimes find artists that'll genuinely record a part in one take but that's not super common
I've never really thought about it until now, but that short sequence were he trills up the neck at 0:21 on the D string sounds like a buzzing bug noise like locusts , very fitting.
Kirk really did those kidn of things back then, like this is supposed to sound like death creeping up, is disposable heroes the guitsr lick after the verses is supposed to sound like war horns or bagpipes going into battle, ride the lightning is supposed to sound electric, rhing that should not be is meant to sound like a maniac waking up an ancient beast haha
Yup he plays this exactly the same way live. It's not just sloppy live, it's sloppy everywhere. But the sound engineer processed it and made it sound good
I think alot of that was just being isolated. When played over the song, you don't notice it at all and when they overlayed it they were probably like "sounds awesome, next song"
@@mattm7798 no, you notice it in the overall mix as well. When you put track in overall mix it's not magically gets better played haha, it's still the same sloppy played track. Just need to listen more carefully
its incredible how it sounds sloppy when isolated but it sits JUST RIGHT in the mix
The same goes for Cliff's bass playing.
Yup, that's pretty much what making music is about ;)
me hearing dave mustaine holy wars solo isolated:
They weren’t professional musicians after all, just some dudes playing together
Not sloppy at all. Just played by a human with imperfections. Who tf wants to listen to robotic ass boring playing.
Back when Kirk still had that shit-hot fire in composition.
Looooong gone
@@jmaynez2332dogmatic, although the die is cast
@@edwinf.8354 worst song ever
if your shit sounds like this you should go see a doctor
One of my faves by Kirk
From 0:31 onwards is my fave part
Cause that's the only part you can play HAHAHAHAHAH
@@ilikevideos4868and we can trust that u can do better
because dave wrote it
@@ilikevideos4868the whole solo is so easy imo🫢
Damn I didn’t know it was recorded in separate parts. Ig
That’s what makes it sound better
if you listen to a lot of kirks old solos you can hear that it’s recorded in multiple takes, eg wherever i may roam and shortest straw
@@Samford_ also blackened lmao
@@agent2face512 ye its so obvious in blackened :D

like actually recording a solo and especially a whole song is hard af in one go, me and my bandmates take around 100 takes per part
I've never really thought about it until now, but that short sequence were he trills up the neck at 0:21 on the D string sounds like a buzzing bug noise like locusts , very fitting.
I'm pretty sure it's supposed to sound like something "creeping" up

Now I know what they mean when they say hide it in the mix.

😈😈😈😈🎸🎸🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤Great revelation
Nice
It sounds so shit isolated but do epic in the mix
0:13 0:24 0:27
Fuck I can actually learn this one
this is one of the sloppiest recordings I've heard from him, there's even some fret buzz. A beautiful masterpiece nevertheless.

well, Yngwie he was not lol
Does anyone knows what effects he use in each part? Sounds insane
👊👀
That was sloppy as hell... Never realized that 😀
Sloppy as hell because it was played by a human being. Not some robot or boring ass dipshit virtuoso tryhard
I don't know what the fuck all of you guys are talking about being sloppy , it's a masterpiece of a lead and completely fits the song .
Clearly you don't play music, it's very sloppy and rushed, too fast for him to sound clear. He's an amazing guitar player it's just facts

suena de la bergha
Terrible performance...
