Will the effects, graphics etc be better? Will it be more lore friendly and more friendly to new beginners? Why should people quit Black Desert and start to play Crimson Desert? Also why not just make it into an update or at least DLC, then they could have added better graphics update still. But now this looks nothing like a brand new game with next gen graphics.

Since when did people start to have that casual Single Player favorism again and why is that opinion so popular? I just don't get why people would want to play single player over online and competition. As long as the game isnt truly special it has just no appeal whatsoever when you cant compete and interact online in any way.

For everyone wondering this game is going be a campaign based game with MMORPG concepts added and yes is in fact a MMORPG in itself but no specifics on that have been revealed. In the Showcase for it the Lead Producer Jason Jung confirmed all this. It’s not entirely certain how it will work but as many have seen or heard it will likely mix in with other players in the sense of Assassins Creed Unity mixed in players to the world or how Death Stranding had also but I’m more certain it will be like Unity was and if it’s more in turn with the genre then it’s also expected to be like many other Online games such as BDO was but nothing’s been confirmed. It’s just been highly emphasized and I mean that heavily that it’s story driven and has been showcased entirely so far with the characters setting the foot of the game like RDR2 had rather than an actual MMORPG setting as it’s said it just has aspects of an MMORPG. Here’s an article with the translations of Jason Jungs own words on it mmoculture.com/2019/11/crimson-desert-new-flagship-mmorpg-is-a-prequel-with-story-heavy-single-player-campaign/ and the screenshots in the bottom have the translations. black desert online has one of the most elaborate combat and animation systems of any MMO. if they just mange to take that and make the game engageing and exciting i think this could work... i didnt find BDO engageing and exiting and all, but the flashy animations and elaborate move/combo system was definatly interesting.

This is a prequel to Black Desert, set in the same world. Crimson Desert is an MMORPG which will have a single player campaign - this trailer shows the campaign and not the MMO side. You will play as the 5 characters featured in this trailer for the single player campaign. I think that's all the information we have on this so far.

@@TBlackToothT91 i know. doesnt mean its the end product however. There were lot of ingame cutscenes. Its often normal to have higher quality assets during cutscenes compared to actual ingame

Crimson Desert is set in a fantasy world on the continent of Pywel. Daeil Kim, the founder of Pearl Abyss, acts as the Lead Producer and Eter Lee, former Lead Combat Designer of RYL Online, is in charge of the action combat system for the title. Crimson Desert is currently aiming for a beta test for PC & console in 2020.
While the name “Crimson Desert” was originally a region within Black Desert, Crimson Desert is in fact not a sequel, but a whole new IP. The title started as the prequel to Black Desert, but during development Pearl Abyss began to create an entirely different storyline and a whole new set of characters.
Crimson Desert does not focus on a group of glorious heroes attempting to rule the continent of Pywel, but instead centers on a host of mercenaries fighting for their lives to survive. black desert online has one of the most elaborate combat and animation systems of any MMO. if they just mange to take that and make the game engageing and exciting i think this could work... i didnt find BDO engageing and exiting and all, but the flashy animations and elaborate move/combo system was definatly interesting.
