Pretty good report thanks. I've owned a Great Wall X240 for quite a few years now and can't complain. I bought the vehicle second hand in Cairns, used it for 2 years then shipped it to Port Moresby where it has worked its guts out. I've absolutely thrashed it, towed logs into the sawmill, constantly overloaded it, flogged it through mud and slush and really treated it badly. What's failed on it.......nothing!!! It's stunned me with its reliability. It's a cheap runabout that's served me very well indeed. Would I buy an H9? In an instant. Damn good reliable vehicles.
we bought the H9 ultra for the wife. Damn, i love this thing! effortless to drive, all the bells and whistles, very capable and comfortable truck, all for less than 2nd-hand Everest money. Do yourself a favour and go look at one.
Ive had my h9 now for almost 2 years I'm getting another one this week because they are awesome. I'm from Adelaide and a drive to Sydney costs $200 in fuel and that is great with the luxery it has, don't what your talking about on body roll it doesn't have any .cruise control keeps it puring nicely and I've got the previous model which has 20 kw less than your review. Power is perfect and the grip it has on the road is fantastic because of the wide Tyers and AWD. Off road it's a beast and truthfully competing SUVs don't come close plus being available only in fuel ensures the exhaust fumes are not as polluting as diesel engines, we live in a clean country China is very polluted in some parts and that's the main reason for a petrol engine. The rear seats can slide back and forward so leg room is ample . I can't wait until they realeas the electric version, that will put diesel to rest. I can't wait to own 2 h9s. A good review for someone who seems to have only driven one for maybe a day if that. A bonus is the service , back up from haval and the price.
My friend I'm planning to buying HAVALL H9 2020 , but I'm worried about engine quality and it's able to bearing of high temperature in my country which sometimes near to 50C ? Also worried about car reaiblity? Hopefully give me some support thanks

I like the way that Haval improves their products, using quality and branded parts like the Infinity audio system and the ZF 8 Speed transmission shared with vehicles like the Jeep Grand Cherokee, almost every BMW and Audi, Dodges and even Rolls-Royces
@@Ahmed-AlSharahili as far as I know, the engine is a Great Wall design, featuring modern tech like a twin scroll turbo and direct injection. Sounds good on paper, but long term reliability has yet to be seen.
Glad they haven't succumbed to the fad of 19-20" wheels. A low profile tyre is the last thing you want offroad or if you want a quiet ride onroad. It's never going to carve corners as she said, but as a family bus that can go a bit offroad, it looks to be sensible. Are they reliable? How is the resale value?
I thought the presenter did a great job. I noticed though that she seemed to sit quite low in the vehicle, giving me the impression that the seats might not have enough height adjustment. The lack of a diesel is a non-issue to me, given that a couple of people I know are experiencing particulate filter issues with their vehicles. The 7-year warranty is excellent, ventilated seats are never to be underestimated in Australia. To me, the priorities are quietness and comfort, build quality, load space, and running costs. And if I bought one, mine would be one of the few that didn't venture off-road. ;-))
If you turn to 4L mode for off road, the power of torque will increase up to 2.5x. low-speed cruise and three differential lock(ELD) also available on this car 2020 mode...
Five things this vehicle needs in order for it to sell like hotcakes (fast). 1. Bigger engine, like at least 3.0L Turbo Diesel, 5L V8, or 3.6L V6 Turbo. Point 2. More room for 3rd row passengers, 3.Sat nav, 4. Apple Car Play / Google Android connectivity, 5. More colour selection, right now (July 2020) they have only four colours, black onyx , Ayers Grey, light silver and white. I viewed one in a car yard today, very stylish in person, apart from the lack of a better infotainment unit (Sat nav and apple / android compatibility) they have as many bells and whistles anyone could ever ask for, comfortable seats in the front. I'm still going to take one for a test drive later in the week to put it through its paces, but the lack of Sat nav and modernsmart phone connectivity are enough for me not to buy it. It may as well be a Rolls Royce at the extremely low price of $1 and I would not buy it without those features. Very frustrating because gee it looks nice.
Just amazing value, we've owned a Haval H2 for a year now and we love it. Also fantastic value for buyers on a budget. The styling of the H2 is great. Not crazy about the H9 front grill either but apart from that seems a great buy for the money. Have heard many testors being impressed with off road ability.
How about just take off the Haval logo and replace it with Mazda, Honda.subaru etc.... And you will have to spend another $20,000 or more just for the fucking name ..
It's a big SUV with a 2.0 litre turbo 4 cylinder motor. I honestly doubt it could tow anything big reliably. A Hyundai i30 makes more power than this thing and a Toyota Prado uses less fuel.
For a Chinese vehicle, this is great quality! Most Chinese cars sold in export countries usually suck in quality and lack safety features, but not down under! Chinese cars sold in Australia and New Zealand are Great Wall Motors, Haval, Foton, and Maxus (LDV). They also had Geely and Chery too. Chinese cars are a bit cheaper than Japanese cars.
Not sure I like the vehicle as it has more an old land cruiser look. That said, the review was good except that the video seems to lose the focus around Amelia at times and more on shots of the interior. She looks very "fuzzy" in some shots. 4:37 is a good example of how out of focus every things seems to be and it is something that I've noticed in more then a few of your releases lately.
Would like to see more about warranty and servicing how easy these company's are to deal with and some information about the associated cost of ownership.
I will agree with Tim Prosser, I own an X240, have had it 5 years, very reliable and never given me any trouble, not great acceleration but cruises and handles well. Just one comment, what is it with Aussies and their pronunciation of the letter h, it is aych, not haych, drives me mad, especially with that accent.
No, unfortunately they do not have sat nav, perhaps they are relying on everyone to use their mobile phones for Sat nav. Also for a vehicle which otherwise has a very long list of inclusions, they do not have apple play or android supported entertainment system. Sat nav and apple / android infotainment systems are the two must haves for me. I will still test drive one later this week to see just how well the engine pushes this thing. In person they look stylish and inside look very nice (better than my 2008 cx9 luxury) and driver seat very comfortable, but that great big heavy car for only a 2L engine, my fear is that it would be very slow to get moving in stop start traffic.
Well, if the manufacture can at least put a turbo charged or supercharged 3.6L V6 engine in it I might buy one, if they put a 4.0L V8 in it I'll definitely consider owning one. Still have a lot improvement to do.
Excellent review. It's clear that China cars have a very big future. One thing Amelia. could you get all the staff at your great CarTellTv to say 'AITCH' for the letter 'H'.(check any dictionary). It would save me shouting "AITCH'. :-)
