Besides the beauty of it all, there is so much truth. It just feels right.
I have played this song the moment I wake and sleep this week.
God, this track is so good!
Spectacular talent! Much love from Beersheba, Israel (:
love this mans voice
this is so fucking good
so beautiful
This song is the truth..
beautiful.
I'm an indie musician/singer-songwriter. How do I get on these videos like this?
cool? cool.
the pick is a national thumb pick
he's holding it slanted and is chiming off the other strings
i reckon
I think it's a Clayton large rounded triangle actually. They're great picks
@@jakehavenridge9291 thanks
Does anyone know what tuning he uses?! I've been wanting to learn this song for so long.
Looks like E A D G A E with a capo on 2.
Does anyone know what kind of pick is being used? Love the mellow tone it produces.
somewhat a shot in the dark, but it sounds like a felt pick to me.

i reckon
i get the same effect with a green mel bay nylon flat pick
the pick turns in my fingers so the side edge is the part that hits the strings
Yeah I don't really think that giant thing he is holding is a thumb pick of any kind. It looks like some sort of large rounded triangle pick but there's not really any way to tell the exact shape or the material from this video. I would say based on the sound he is getting his strum touch is pretty light and notice he is back pretty close to the bridge.
While I don't believe that is a thumb pick you CAN get a flat pick made out of the same material (ivoroid) as a thumb pick and the result is pretty stellar. I have no affiliation other than owing a couple but here's a link: gregboyd.com/product/hofi-ivoroid-triangle-pick-full/
Also, despite the recording being made outdoors, notice the lack of any ambient noise up until the applause. My guess is some amount of post processing was done which would not only add to the beautiful performance, but would also smooth out and normalize the guitar sound and volume.
Standard tuning?
