Samus Returns brought me into a distinct universe that I can't pull away from, nor do I want to. I fell in love with this franchise and I hope that Metroid will prosper and more games will be made so that I can experience the grand adventures of Samus Aran!

Then it went 3D and my mind was blown, I couldn’t play it for a while but eventually went through the primes in my teen years and loved all 3. When I heard about dread being released, it was definitely another mind blown situation. It kicked my butt at first but it’s definitely awesome, Metroid is one of my favorite series

This isn't just one of my favorite Metroid remixes; it's one of my favorite pieces of music of all time. I mean, by God this is awesome! No other song brings out this much confidence in me; I feel like I could take on 10 guys at once while listening to this and win! While dancing!

Imagine this as the end credits music for a Metroid movie: 0:00-0:08 Samus has just barely escaped a self destruct sequence deep inside the caverns where Mother Brain was, her armor in ruin and smoke rising from where the blast went off 0:09-0:40 Samus limps her way back onto her gunship, makes her way to the control panel in the cockpit 0:40--0:51 a monitor flashes onscreen indicating another distress alert, an obvious tease to the sequel (take your pick as to what this would be) 0:52-1:02 as the music rises, Samus begins to flip switches and activate the ship's thrusters. It roars to life and begins to slowly rise off the ground 1:03-1:11 -slow zoom on Samus's face as she looks down, then exactly on 1:12 she looks directly up into the camera 1:15 - we see her gunship begin to rise into the air and soar into the atmosphere, it activates warp speed and blasts off into the distance at 1:28 before we hard cut to "Directed by (whoever)" at 1:29
This makes me proud to have become a new bounty hunter in this mysterious universe simply known as “Metroid.” My first adventure could be described as Super, and my second was a great Return to the field. But I still have yet to reach my Prime. That will change.

That is a very good argument, and you made a good point. I still stand by the idea of Samus being stronger, but Cheif is amazing for what he's done as a simple soldier. It's two different stories, one is about someone who saves the galaxy multiple times and the other is about a soldier who saves the human race, each one is amazing on the same level but on a different caliber.

One case I vaguely recall from a documentary was a rookie pilot who had a sudden episode due to a stress caused by the altitude or something, and he completely freaked the Hell out.
