Thank you for taking the time to make/edit/post this video! This was VERY helpful and listening to your thought process helped simplify mine! I love how you work together with a team teacher and share the duties! I loved it and your awesome! Thanks again!
Are these the plans you show administration? Are you required to submit them? Our school uses Digital Academy. All our plans must be written out with TSWBAT (The students will be able to…) the objectives clearly stated. Do you need to do that as well? OMG! YOu answered my question after I already posted it! Lol…oh you are sooooo lucky that you don’t need to submit them! We also, need to write weekly newsletters that need to be submitted for editing every Sunday night!🥴🤦🏻♀️
Another awesome video. You are a top-notch organized teacher. I wish I had a copy mom. What a great idea. Does every teacher in your school have a copy mom? We had two copy machines in my school, one was always broken. I would get to school at 6:30 am to make my copies before there was a line of teachers waiting to make copies. I do not miss dealing with the copy machine.
when I was still working Kinder, as a Toddler teacher in 20019, they gave all the teachers a a lap pad, you take pictures of them I. different centers eating, playing, art work, music, things they needed diapers, clothes, ointment, a blanket. how there day went, 😊
We have a science teacher! Half of my class is at science when I’m teaching the other half in writing small groups. We only teach social studies occasionally but I try to intertwine it with ELA so historical figures works with our biography unit in ELA
I always wanted to be 2 things, a teacher or drawing cartoons. when I Graduated in 73, I always wanted to draw. back in the 70s in those Good House keeping magazines way in the back you draw an animal and if you do Good, you win a prize for 500.00 dollars and a art contest , my father paid the money, and I was doing really good , but my sister 3 yr old got into paint and oils . and I had to drop out Washington school of Art. then in 1987, I got my first job as a 3 yr old teacher, in 1991 I started working working with 2yr Olds, and 3 yr olds and Toddler's with the company Kinder care, I stayed with the company from 1991 to 1997, and by 2002. I got a job working with Fairfax county with students with Disabilities, for 4 years. , now I'm retired and fo monthly activities with my 10 yrold nephew. in my home with his mom, that's about it. 😊
Thank you sooo much for this plan with me! It was soooo informative…. I too am a binder girl - all of my papers are in either big binders or binder rings….. 😍
I would love to switch to binders!!! When I was a sub, there was a 2nd grade teacher who had every page used each year, that could be photocopied. They were in clear inserts. Right now everything is in a file cabinet. But honestly it becomes tough finding what a I need even that way. Plus I don’t like having to pull that humongous cabinet open each time. I’d love to have a binder(s) for grammar, reading, math, etc….I could also use tabs to separate nouns, subject/verb agreement, main idea, and so on!
I enjoyed this video. Do you have a science or social studies time? I know every state is different. Also, will you share where your drawing people anchor chart came from? I have noticed it on every video. Keep up the good work! I love seeing young, enthusiastic teachers. I am currently in year 28 and still love planning and trying new things. 🙂
Thank you so much Donna! We have a science teacher, that's where half of them go while I teach writing in small groups. People in history is our social studies unit so I mixed that in with reading as we are studying biographies. The people drawing chart came from Mayleen Call- @MrsCallsCampers on instagram and youtube!
Hi! I am new here and about to become a first year teacher. I was just wondering, does your school incorporate science and social study lesson plans or does your writing count as science and social studies?
Congrats on your first year!! We have science twice a week and they see a different teacher for that. Half my class is doing writing with me while the other half is a science so I can differentiate writing. I usually incorporate social studies into our reading and/or writing activities to make it cross curricular!
but in 2019 when covid hit, the had to close our center down. in March, by April when they reopen, they took me off payroll. but I'm I turned 69 last year, and had a long wonderful run. Since it started in 1987,

It’s the best! I’ve tried so many other systems but binders are the best! 🙌🏼
