i’m a france 15 years old girl and i started learning japanese a month ago! i’m learning with duolingo and youtube channels but i guess i should buy a book!
i just discovered your channel and i really like it ahah you’ve got a new subscriber ;)
Awww thank you !
I also try to Learn japanese, plz fo you help me
First thing... I learn the vocabulary for the new chapter.
With the vocab already in my head, I can understand the entire dialogue and focus on the grammar points instead.
If you start with the dialogue, you have to constantly stop and look stuff up. It messes with the flow.
Vocab first... It always works.
Second thing... I take notes by alternating writing hiragana and katakana from one word to the next with no spaces.
The particles are always added in hiragana in red ink so they pop out at you.
If I know the kanji for something, I will add that into the mix.
Alternating the kana gives me equal practice with hiragana and katakana and it makes it easy to see where the words begin and end.
I also make the katakana slightly taller for contrast. I think it helps get your katakana really solid early in your learning process.
Third thing... If I am feeling really traditional, I will rotate the page 90 degrees and write vertically to get some experience with that too.
( You wouldn't write a love letter to someone special with horizontal/western writing, would you ? )
Ahhhh thank you so much for introducing me to OTO NAVI!! I have an older edition of Genki that didn’t come with any of the audio, so I’ve just been skipping it but this is so much better~
No worries :)
I love this video! It gives me motivation to continue with my japanese studies 😊
Aww thank you so much! I’m so glad you are studying nihongo! It’s such a beautiful language ❤️
AHH yay you posted it!!! First of all it looks very helpful to those who would like to learn Japanese too, it is so AMAZINGLY edited, the quality is perfection and the music is so fitting and perfect! You better hit 1 million soon!! 😂
Hahaha... 1million..... ummmm not so sure.. 😆 thank u tho!

Your notes are so nice!
thank you!! i just found your channel ! i will surely watch all your videos to keep me motivated in learning im planning to buy the genki too :))
Awww thank you! Yes, Genki is definitely worth it! I had to save for a while but it is such a good book! X
For speaking practice, I recommend joining a Japanese learning discord server. I joined one about a month ago and am really enjoying it. It has really given me a chance to meet new people and practice my Japanese at the same time, both in text chat and voice chat. I'm sure there would be many people who have or have gone through genki that are willing to help. I recently purchased genki 1 and Japanese from zero with someone I have met on discord and soon will being going through it together. I hope someone finds this helpful. ありがとうfor the video!!
do you have the discord server link ?
I’m also learning using genki! がんばりましょう!
Awww 🥰
I should actually watch peppa pig. Thanks for the tips. You’re doing great. Also I wish my books were fancy and neat like yours. Keep it up!!! がんばって!
Thank you so much! Peppa pig is 👌. My notebooks are not very neat tho off camera! :D
Omg your handwriting is so pretty

Aww thank you so much! I just watched one of your vids they are amazing!
I’ve viewed ur channel and realized that I’ve watched two of your studying videos! I’ve loved them bc they really motivated me to study
@@silentvlogs7613 Oh my goodness thank you!! I’m glad to hear they keep you motivated :)
In genki book have 145 kanji is enough for jlpt n5 ?? Or not
tip for anyone who will be visiting japan the first time . Learn Katakana more than hiragana . Whats the point of know how to read the word if you still don't know what it means.. in japan alot of stuff is writin in Katakana thus kinda easy to guess what the word is supposed to mean
Agreed!
I love the way you edit your videos! What do you use to edit? Especially those subtitle cards, they're adorable!
Awww thanks! For editing I use VLLO which is a free app apart from in app purchases (if you want to upgrade to the premium version). Even in the free version there is so much cool stuff you can use so I would deffo recommend trying it out!
@@craftypangolin8352 Thank you so much! I will for sure check it out!
Do u recommend this series - learn Japanese from Zero!?
Love ur video ♥
Aww thank u! Xx just checked out ur channel it’s amazing!
@@craftypangolin8352 thank u 😊
Where did you find dialogue App
Because my cd is destroyed by my dogs
On App Store or google play, it’s called ‘OTO NAVI’ and then just search up Genki 1 when you get into the app x
and last question ahah but which video of peppa pig are you watching? i can’t find any one with english subtitles 😭
I’ve just checked and the yt channel that the peppa pig vids were from has deleted all their videos!!! Search up ‘Buta’s Japanese Classroom’ and you will see there are no videos😢
what font are you using for the subtitles? it’s so pretty! also could you make a video about your handwriting please?
It is some kawaii font on VLLO! My handwriting isn’t very good tho 😅
Hello, have you used the Genky Study Resources Github website, it's very good for reviewing and you can download it to a pc for offline study
Yes! I have! It’s great isn’t it! I especially like the grammar review exercises! ❤️
Which type of pen you are using?
Hi! I used a 0.7mm Pentel Energel in black!
What was the cute little dictionary that you used for grammar?
The textbook I use for grammar is Genki, but I’ve a feeling you mean the dictionary at the end of the video, which was the Shirabe Jisho app. It’s really good and thoroughly recommend for searching in vocab and kanji xxx
@@craftypangolin8352 the book at 4:12 Which one was that I wanted to buy it to extend my vocabulary.
@@fsutori7645 ahh of course! That’s one of the vocabulary lists in the Genki textbook! This week I am going to be filming a video about learning vocabulary, so for more info stay tuned for that vid!
@@craftypangolin8352 ah okay I see, thank you 😊
esse livro é bom demais né? a sua edição tá linda! deus abençoe!
Obrigada!! ❤️ ❤️
